"Howling Inferno!"
"Hellscream!!"
From the depths of the battlefield, two powerful Underworld Fighters descended.
Sin Star, Felicias the Jackal!Destroyer Star, the Cave Giant Ivan!
Both warriors had reached the Sixth Sense — their power rivaled that of Asgardian gods.
Yet, against the colossal serpent Jörmungandr, even such strength was not enough.
Felicias and Ivan struck first, unleashing their devastating attacks upon the serpent's head — the strongest part of its massive body. Sparks exploded as their blows collided with the thick divine scales. Not even Quinn's deadly datura flowers could pierce between them.
Those of the Earth Evil Star rank who dared to approach were already choking on the poisonous gas that Jörmungandr exhaled.
As for the low-ranking soldiers — the "lesser specters" — their fate was certain death.
They were no different from ordinary superheroes: humans who had never awakened the Sixth Sense, their armor merely low-grade Surplices, unfit for battle at this level.
Only those chosen by the Demon Stars could awaken the Sixth Sense — the threshold between mortal and divine.
"Be careful!" someone shouted.
But it was too late — Jörmungandr's counterattack came like a living storm.
Simultaneously, Thor charged again, lightning flashing around him as Mjölnir roared toward the serpent.
Above it all, Minos of the Heavenly Noble Star floated silently in midair, watching every movement with sharp eyes.
The Serpent of Midgard… Jörmungandr possessed power that surpassed even the giants of Jotunheim.
Even Thor — the mightiest of Asgard — had perished with this serpent in the end of days.
Now, the Underworld Fighters risked their lives battling it, seeking growth through combat. The low-ranking soldiers charged onward under Minos's command, obeying even if it meant death.
But Thor… Thor was no match for the Serpent.
Then —
A thin silver thread flicked through the air. It wrapped around Thor's waist and yanked him aside, throwing away several soldiers in the process.
Minos had finally made his move.
The satellites orbiting Earth captured the moment: the dark figure of a Griffin descending from the heavens, wreathed in violet light.
Minos's will radiated outward, his Seventh Sense cosmos burning at its peak, suppressing even divine power.
Hell, Mephisto's City — Frontline of the Underworld.
In the distant depths of the Underworld, Hades — Aaron — opened his eyes. A faint smile curved his lips.
"Finally… someone dares to touch the realm that Athena once reached."
The Eighth Sense — Arayashiki.
It was the domain closest to the gods, the highest level a mortal could reach through the awakening of the Cosmos.
The small universe within humans, and even that within gods, were but fragments of the ultimate power Hades sought.
He was the Lord of the Underworld. With a flick of his hand, he could destroy entire worlds.
Yet he disdained mortal cosmos cultivation. Even the divine cosmos was merely an extension of his will as a god.
"Minos… is it you?"
Through the Mirror of Worlds, Hades gazed upon the scene — a black-winged god standing atop a serpent vast enough to encircle the world.
Power poured from Minos's body like a tide. It was as if the will of Hades himself had descended.
Minos had touched the threshold of the Eighth Sense.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!!"
The shockwaves from his awakening annihilated everything nearby. Underworld Fighters halted their attacks as Minos's shadow slowly descended.
"Stand down. Lord Minos is here…"
Those unlucky soldiers caught in the chaos were swept away — but for them, death was only a temporary return to the Underworld.
The serpent could not kill an Underworld Fighter, and the Fighters could not easily destroy the serpent. They existed on entirely different planes of power.
Even the Sixth Sense could no longer harm Jörmungandr.
Only a handful — like Minos — had reached the Seventh Sense, and even they could only wound it slightly.
As the weaker specters withdrew, the serpent's fury intensified.
Thor, covered in blood and lightning, drew Jörmungandr's wrath.
"Die, serpent!"
Mjölnir fell again, blazing with thunderous fury.
"Ho-ho-ho!!!"
Jörmungandr's roar split the sky. Surrounded by enemies, it resolved to devour them all. Its eyes burned with apocalyptic rage — especially at the man above its head, bound to its fate in prophecy.
The serpent opened its maw, spewing forth a flood of venomous flame toward Thor, while its massive tail swung toward Minos, dismissing him as an insect.
"BOOM!! BOOM!!"
Dark clouds swirled. Thunderbolts cascaded down like judgment, striking the serpent's head.
"You've mistaken your enemy, Jörmungandr," Minos said coldly.
He pulled sharply on the Star Puppet Thread.
Agony erupted within the serpent — the razor-thin thread slicing through its mouth. Poisonous blood and fire burst outward, raining upon the sea.
At that very instant, Thor's hammer fell once more, shattering the sky.
The combined assault struck Jörmungandr head-on. With a final roar, the colossal serpent crashed into the ocean below.
But as it fell, its jaws snapped open — and it bit down upon Minos's legs, dragging him down with it into the abyss.
"Minos!!""Lord Minos!!!"
The Underworld Fighters shouted in horror as their commander was pulled into the depths.
Pain tore through Minos's unarmored flesh — even as the Star Puppet Thread slipped from his grasp.
They all forgot one truth.
Underworld Fighters do not die.
And the one being dragged into the depths was not a mere mortal — but one of the Three Judges of the Underworld: Minos of the Heavenly Noble Star, the Griffin.
In the Mirror of Worlds, Hades watched silently.
A faint light flickered in his eyes as he turned the black ring on his finger.
"It seems… my drop of divine blood has taken effect."
He smiled faintly.
