Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Gundam G – Enhancement

Chapter 7: Gundam G – Enhancement

Tolle Koenig had accepted this harsh reality as well, but he remarked that with Nami around, maybe one day there might be a chance to visit worlds outside the Gundam-type universes.

Things like Kryptonian supermen or Saiyan bloodlines—would it be possible to replicate their physiques too?

The system's response was that it was unknown, all dependent on luck. As for bloodlines, it would require further enhancement of Nami; in the current stage, it was impossible.

To Tolle Koenig, "unknown" meant there was at least a chance. But all that could wait until he became stronger. For now, he decided to check his current stats:

After looking over his stats, Tolle felt he had grown much stronger, but he was still a "one-minute man"—couldn't last even sixty seconds. As for Undefeated of the East's barehanded mobile suit dismantling, it was really about using Qi to boost the body and enhance weapons (or in this case, cloth strips).

His defense improvement on the stats sheet was also just a form of Qi manipulation; once the Qi ran out, his defense dropped back to almost zero.

It felt almost exactly like the Ki in Dragon Ball, and he couldn't shake the feeling that things were getting more and more off track.

His piloting ability had improved significantly too; his melee score was now close to one hundred—almost reaching C-rank piloting in terms of close combat.

Kira, at the start, was at most C-rank, and he was still considered one of ZAFT's green-uniform elites.

But the G Gundam world focused mainly on melee combat—ranged weapons were rare, and even then, they were mostly finishing moves. When he returned to SEED, he'd train his shooting skills properly.

In just over ten days, he would be able to leave the G Gundam world. He didn't know when he might return—though most likely, from the perspective of the main world, it would only be a few minutes later.

That would mean these sub-worlds should work much the same way.

It was a pity he hadn't yet met Domon Kasshu or Rain Mikamura. He didn't know if he'd see them in the remaining ten days.

But even if he didn't, it wouldn't matter—he couldn't beat Domon anyway, and if they met, he'd probably just end up getting beaten.

Still, this trip had been more than worth it—mutated DG cell body enhancement, evolved nano-suit, the Noble Gundam, and learning Undefeated of the East Martial Arts.

All of them were trump cards for survival. From now on, in most ordinary worlds he might travel to, he'd have no trouble keeping himself alive.

As long as he didn't actively seek death, he wouldn't die. Of course, if he suddenly crossed into a high-tier world… that would be another matter entirely.

He could also rely on Nami to assimilate mobile suits, so there was no need to worry about piloting compatibility or OS mismatches.

If it came to it, he could just have the cockpit converted into a panoramic human-machine integration system and be done with it. As long as his body could sync up for melee combat, there'd be no problem.

Tolle Koenig said to the Undefeated of the East:

"Master, I've got about ten days left before my transfer time runs out. But I won't be gone long—at most a few minutes."

"Mm, Tolle, time really does fly. When you go back, don't slack off on your training. When you return, I'll be testing you thoroughly, understand?"

"Don't worry, Master, I'll work hard and never waste my training."

Tolle then went to say goodbye to the Devil Gundam, and had it make two flying craft similar to Core Fighters to use as transport—multi-purpose for land, sea, air, and space.

The smaller one was three meters long, could carry two people, and looked like the God Gundam's Core Fighter, with side-by-side seats.

The larger one was ten meters long, carried up to twenty people, and was basically the same as the small transport ship from SEED—the lifeboat Flay was in before she died.

Since they were all DG cell products, there was no need to worry about repairs or energy supply. If more capacity was needed, they could simply expand themselves. Everything would be under Nami's control—no problem at all.

Originally, he had wanted to ask the Devil Gundam for Iron Man-style powered armor, but then he remembered—Iron Man's top suit was just nano-armor anyway.

Nami could already mimic Iron Man's design exactly, with equal or better performance, so what was the point? Total overkill.

After the two flying craft were done, he made a trip to Neo Hong Kong and, through Nami, set up an account and got some money. He then filled his storage space with all kinds of food, water, daily necessities, and supplies.

If he didn't buy now, he'd regret it—no way was he going home empty-handed.

Besides, once he was back, he wouldn't have the money to buy this much, and even if he did, there was the risk of someone showing up to "check the water meter."

A satellite city without surveillance? Impossible. And with Gundams being built there, security would be top-tier.

Not to mention, before he left for this trip, he'd already used a huge amount of water and hadn't paid for it. If he used that much again, he'd definitely be "invited" for a pork cutlet meal.

Once back, he'd need Nami to fix his water usage records, and he'd also need to make a few bracelets or rings—one each for Miriallia and Kira.

These could protect them in case of serious injury, preventing death, and could also be used to study the physique of the Ultimate Coordinator. Maybe that could help him upgrade himself too.

"Nami, can you limit my strength and speed? Right now, I feel like a mini-Superman. If I go back like this and someone realizes I'm like a Coordinator, it won't be good."

"Master, no problem. I can set your strength and speed bonuses to normal human levels, like wearing weighted gear, or I can adjust gravity. The downside is increased body weight."

"Nami, that's perfect. That way, it's just like weighted training in Dragon Ball. A bit more weight is nothing.

Let's make that the default mode, then release the limiter during combat.

You're probably my biggest gain from this trip. Your disguise ability is amazing. Being able to weaken my own abilities means I never have to worry about breaking things by accident when I suddenly get stronger."

"Master, adjusted stats: Strength—6 (16–10), Constitution—31, Speed—6 (24–18), weight increased by 28 kg. Is that acceptable?"

"Nami, that's perfect. Strength and speed are just a point above an ordinary person, so there's no way I'm stronger than a Coordinator.

As for Constitution, that's not something people can usually see at a glance. Right now, at most, I could probably take a blunt knife to the body without much trouble."
