Taking a deep breath, I tried to make sense of things. I was still in Yunxia's body, but I knew my soul was mine. That could only mean one thing—some supernatural nonsense was definitely going on.
After a bit of internal debate... and a little amusement, I decided on how I wanted to be addressed.
"How about... Master? That alright?"
The bluish, semi-transparent blob in my palm responded immediately.
"Okay, Master! I am System XC3462 Pro, here to assist you!"
Hearing the name made me burst out laughing—not even because of the name itself, but the way the blob said it. So stiff. So robotic. Like a try-hard butler in an anime.
"XC3462, huh? That's... a unique name. Who named you that?" I teased, mockingly mimicking its accent.
The blob began wiggling in my palm like it was flustered, its glow pulsing erratically.
"Master, don't say it like that... it's embarrassing."
"Wait—you can feel embarrassment?"
It nodded slightly—or, at least, pulsed in a way that felt like a nod.
Apparently, even the system hated its government-assigned name. It asked me if I could give it a new one, something better.
I smirked. "Alright then. How about we call you... Sysi. Cute, right?"
I stared at the blob, waiting for a reaction—but before anything could happen, a blinding white light flashed, and a loud ringing pierced my ears.
Then, a mechanical female voice echoed through the room:
"System No. 9726 — XC3462 — has successfully acquired a host. Host name: Nyx, now to be referred to as Master. XC3462 has been renamed and officially registered as a Level 2 Systematic Helper: Sysi. Upgraded from Basic to Beginner Rank."
The blob in my hand glowed brightly before vanishing in a sparkle of light. I blinked—and in its place stood a tiny humanoid figure, only about 14 centimeters tall. Its body was made of transparent blue energy, softly pulsing like a jellyfish made of code.
It floated gently in the air, then bowed.
"Master, thank you for the name. I really like it."
