"Most brides," Collins replied, carefully maneuvering her very pregnant body from the passenger seat, "don't get engaged, catch an embezzler, face down a jealous ex-wife, expose a murderous uncle, and take over a family business in the span of a few weeks."
Noelle bounced out from the backseat with a grin spreading across her jetlagged face. "Yeah, Miranda. Stop being such an overachiever. Some of us consider making it to work on time a major accomplishment."
