Chapter 20 - Chapter 5 The First Trade Caravan

With the arrival of the neighboring villagers, Hassan knew it was time to take the Rift Farmers' Guild to the next level: organizing a formal trade caravan. The Rift had treasures not only of magic but of fertile soil, enchanted crops, and rare herbs. Now, they could share these wonders with the outside world — but carefully.

Hassan gathered the Guild members under the great baobab tree. "This caravan will be the first of many. It's not just about trade, but about building alliances. We must show strength, fairness, and wisdom."

Arafa, the wise fairy who had gifted Hassan enchanted seeds, offered advice. "Be cautious, Hassan. Not everyone outside the Rift respects magic or the balance we hold."

Patrick nodded. "We need scouts to watch the roads, guards to protect the caravan, and diplomats to negotiate fairly."

Preparations took weeks. Magical wards were woven into the carts, invisible to the eyes of strangers but powerful enough to warn of danger. Hassan personally trained the caravan guards in both farming knowledge and combat.

On the morning of departure, the caravan set out with a mix of excitement and tension. Traders carried baskets of rare crops and magical artifacts. Spirits flew overhead, keeping watch.

Along the dusty paths, traders from distant lands eyed the caravan with curiosity, some with envy. Hassan met with village leaders, exchanging goods and stories, planting seeds of friendship.

But not all meetings were peaceful. In one town, Hassan faced a skeptical merchant who tried to undervalue the Rift's gifts. Hassan calmly explained the magic behind the crops and the hard work of the Guild.

By the time the caravan returned home, it had secured new partners and valuable resources. The Rift Farmers' Guild was no longer isolated; it was becoming a recognized force.

Hassan stood once more under the baobab tree, feeling the weight of responsibility but also the hope of what lay ahead.

"The Rift is growing," he said softly. "And so must we."
