Chapter 10 - Chapter 5 Every Day is a Lucky Day

It started as a simple charm—a small amulet woven from silver threads and enchanted with a whisper of good fortune. Hassan had received it from an old spirit who claimed it could bring luck to whoever carried it.

At first, it seemed harmless enough. Hassan wore the charm around his neck while tending the fields. The crops flourished, rains came at the perfect times, and even the stubborn soil yielded a bountiful harvest.

But soon, the charm's influence grew stronger—and stranger.

One morning, a group of newcomers from the Rift arrived, claiming the charm had blessed them with uncanny luck. Seeds they planted sprouted overnight. Animals that were usually skittish approached peacefully. Even the wild weather seemed to hold off, allowing everyone to work without worry.

Word spread quickly. Everyone wanted a piece of the "lucky day" magic.

But luck, Hassan soon learned, was a fickle thing.

The charm's magic began to twist reality. Some fields produced too much, overwhelming the farm's storage and attracting unwanted pests. Other crops grew wild and unruly, choking out their neighbors.

Animals once calm became overly bold, disrupting the fragile harmony between humans and spirits.

Even Hassan himself found his careful plans upended—small accidents and miscommunications piled up in confusing ways.

It wasn't until a sudden storm hit—an odd, swirling tempest that seemed born from chaotic magic—that Hassan understood the charm's true cost.

The storm uprooted plants, damaged homes, and sent the Rift's creatures into panic.

In the aftermath, Hassan gathered the farmers and Rift arrivals.

"Luck isn't something we can carry around or command," he said firmly. "It comes from hard work, respect, and balance."

With that, Hassan sought out the old spirit who had given him the charm.

Together, they performed a ritual to safely remove the charm's magic from the farm.

The fields slowly returned to their steady rhythm, and the animals settled once more.

The charm was placed in a secure vault, a reminder that easy luck often carries hidden risks.

From that day on, Hassan taught everyone that true fortune lies in community, courage, and the earth beneath their feet—not in magical shortcuts.
