Chapter 358 - Chapter 358: Tyrant Armour Sect Is on the Verge of Collapse!

Most of the competing teams were surprised that Jiang Nannan knocked out a Soul King with a single punch, but they didn't think too much of it. After all, as a disciple of Shrek Academy, the strength she displayed was consistent with the prestige of the Academy—powerful, but not to an exaggerated extent.

However, as events continued to unfold, these teams and the top figures of the Sun Moon Empire realized just how wrong they were—very wrong.

When Jiang Nannan used yet another single punch to knock out the Tyrant Armour Sect's second contestant—also a defense-type Soul King—the curiosity of Xu Tiannan on the VIP platform peaked. He turned to the black-robed middle-aged man beside him and asked, "State Preceptor, what do you think of this Shrek Academy contestant?"

"Hehe." The black-robed Preceptor sneered coldly. "Your Highness, I'd say that woman's potential caps right there. I thought Shrek Academy was supposed to be impressive, but it turns out they're scraping the bottom of the barrel, even sending out a long-eliminated extreme-speed type Soul Master. Hah!"

"Extreme-speed Soul Master?" Xu Tiannan's interest was piqued. As the Crown Prince of the Sun Moon Empire, his knowledge was deep enough to recognize the term, though he was skeptical. Could Jiang Nannan really be an extreme-speed Soul Master? He doubted it. Turning his head, he instructed Juzi, "Juzi, I want a full report on Jiang Nannan."

"Yes!" Juzi nodded and immediately made the arrangements.

Back on the stage, the Tyrant Armour Sect's third contestant stepped up—a defense-type Soul King like the previous two, and also wielding the Tyrant Armour Shield. Perhaps having learned from his teammates' mistakes, he immediately activated all his soul skills. His black shield swelled in size and weight, becoming a thick, heavy wall in front of him—like an impregnable fortress.

Jiang Nannan, however, showed no hint of caution. As the saying goes: "In all martial arts, speed breaks all." When speed reaches a certain threshold, even the sturdiest wall is reduced to paper. She once again launched a plain and simple punch—but this time, she was even faster. So fast that not even a trace of her silhouette remained.

Both the black-robed Preceptor and Jing Hongchen on the platform revealed astonished expressions. Jiang Nannan's speed had exceeded their expectations. Their estimation had placed her at the Soul Sage level, but the velocity she just exhibited far surpassed that of ordinary Soul Sages. Normally, only agility-type Soul Sages in Martial Soul True Body state could reach that speed. Yet, this girl achieved it purely with her physical body. Could she really be a true extreme-speed Soul Master?

The truth was, neither of them had ever witnessed a real extreme-speed Soul Master before. Such Soul Masters had all but disappeared from the modern Douluo Continent. Without a basis for comparison, they couldn't determine whether Jiang Nannan's performance was unique to her talent or characteristic of her specialization.

Back on the stage—Jiang Nannan, now moving at sonic speed, landed her punch squarely on the massive Tyrant Armour Shield. With a loud metallic thud, the shield was blown backward, carrying the Soul Master behind it. The moment the blow landed, the shock force transferred directly through the shield, knocking the Soul Master out cold as he flew backward like the two before him.

Jiang Nannan stood at her original position, still wearing a sweet smile—but her jade-like hand trembled slightly. She sighed inwardly. As expected, her hands still struggled to withstand the force from sonic-speed acceleration. She had overestimated herself.

As the possessor of the Lunar Jade Rabbit Martial Soul, Jiang Nannan's physical endurance far exceeded that of ordinary agility-type Soul Sages. After all, only a sufficiently resilient body could endure the immense physical toll from such extreme speed. Her body could withstand up to three times the speed of sound, though her hands could barely endure sonic speed. In contrast, her legs and feet easily handled triple sonic velocity. If she had used her legs instead of her fists, the Tyrant Armour Sect might have lost three heirs just now.

The Tyrant Armour Sect's team leader was completely numb at this point. This girl from Shrek was simply too overwhelming. None of his disciples could last a single round. Three of them had been knocked out with one punch each. Damn it, this was beyond humiliating! Anyone unaware would think their sect was focused on support, not defense!

But no matter how furious he was, he was powerless to stop it. Jiang Nannan hadn't even released her Martial Soul yet. Apart from knowing she was an agility-type Soul Master, they knew nothing else about her. Not even her soul rings had been forced out—utter humiliation. He clenched his jaw and shouted, "Chen Cong, you're up next!"

"Yes, Captain!" Chen Cong, a young man, stepped up with a face like death itself. As a Soul King, he already foresaw what would happen. But an order was an order—he had no choice but to comply.

So, Chen Cong climbed onto the stage looking utterly hopeless and begged for mercy the moment he arrived. "Sister, please… go easy on me?"

Jiang Nannan couldn't help but laugh aloud. That sweet laugh dazed Chen Cong. But she didn't let his daze deter her. Without even responding to his plea, she simply switched from fist to foot—and kicked him off the stage.

Chen Cong came back to his senses mid-air—too late. He only remembered being kicked by this beautiful elder sister, then everything went blank.

By now, the Tyrant Armour Sect's leader couldn't bear to look anymore. He gnashed his teeth furiously. Damn it, this kid was even more embarrassing than the last three! At least they summoned their Martial Souls—this brat didn't even get his out before being charmed senseless. He swore to punish him harshly once they got back!

At the same time, on the platform, Xu Tiannan finally received Jiang Nannan's background report.

"Your Highness, this is everything we could gather on Jiang Nannan," Juzi said, handing him a single sheet of paper.

Xu Tiannan skimmed it quickly and read aloud, "Jiang Nannan, native of Anyang City, Heaven Soul Empire. Age: twenty. Participated in the Star Luo City Soul Master Tournament and was honored as the Moon Goddess Princess… Current cultivation unknown but at least Soul Sage… That's it?"

He glanced up at Juzi with a raised brow. She bowed slightly and explained, "She's a core disciple of Shrek's inner court. Our operations haven't penetrated deeply into the Academy yet, so…"

"Oh." Xu Tiannan responded flatly, sending a chill down Juzi's spine. She silently began to pray for whoever would be responsible next.

"What a shame… such a beautiful and powerful woman, yet not of our empire." Xu Tiannan sighed with regret.

On stage, the final Soul King of the Tyrant Armour Sect was also defeated by Jiang Nannan's foot. At that point, their team leader gave up entirely and conceded the match.

If even Soul Kings couldn't hold her back, what could two Soul Ancestors possibly do? Rather than become the first team in tournament history to suffer a one-vs-seven, it was better to surrender now and retain a shred of dignity.

With that, the Tyrant Armour Sect admitted defeat. Shrek Academy successfully advanced to the group stage.

Despite the crowd being composed almost entirely of Sun Moon Empire citizens, they still couldn't help but cheer for Jiang Nannan. Even though it wasn't a one-vs-seven, a one-vs-five was thrilling enough—and more importantly, she was a breathtaking beauty, worthy of their admiration.

Meanwhile, the mood among the remaining teams was grim. Everyone had already thought that Shrek's line-up of one Soul Emperor and three Soul Kings was fearsome enough. Who would have guessed they still had such a terrifying card hidden? Judging from her performance, this woman was definitely a Soul Sage, possibly even a high-rank Soul Sage. That was a headache for all of them.

"Brother~ How did I do? Not bad, right?" Jiang Nannan bounded off the stage and wrapped her arms around Zhu Ziyang's arm, purring sweetly.

"Your moves were clean and crisp. Excellent work!" Zhu Ziyang praised with a grin, giving her a playful pinch on the nose.
