Chapter 179 - Chapter 179: An Unfair Fate? The True Master of the Forbidden Land?

"A good thing?" Electrolux looked at Zhu Ziyang in confusion.

"Yes! Definitely a good thing!" Zhu Ziyang smiled brightly. He jumped off the bed and walked to the window. Outside, it was still pitch black. He picked up a mirror and looked at the faint underworld flower mark glowing faintly on his forehead. Instinctively, he summoned his spiritual sense, and the contents of the first Trial of Death emerged in his mind.

"What exactly happened? Don't keep me guessing, my good disciple. Are you trying to worry this old man to death?" Electrolux watched as Zhu Ziyang acted mysterious, examined himself in the mirror, and said nothing. It left him both helpless and a little hurt.

"Ah, sorry, Teacher!" Zhu Ziyang realized his behavior might have been disrespectful and quickly turned around with an apologetic expression. "Actually, my soul entered a mysterious space just now. In that space, I received a divine inheritance from a god!"

"What?!" Electrolux instantly floated to Zhu Ziyang's side, his illusory hand gripping Zhu Ziyang's shoulder. "You really received a divine inheritance? What god was it?"

"Mhm! I'm sure of it—it was a god's inheritance!" Zhu Ziyang nodded firmly. "The god said he was the God of Death."

"The God of Death?!" Electrolux's form trembled, his eyes wide with disbelief. Then joy burst across his face as he laughed aloud. "Hahaha! This old man's judgment truly is exceptional. Even a Death God from another world recognizes my choice!"

Zhu Ziyang smiled at Electrolux's excitement, letting the old man revel in his joy. After a while, Electrolux calmed down and looked at Zhu Ziyang seriously.

"Ziyang, what kind of god is this God of Death? Compared to the legendary Sea God, who's stronger?"

Zhu Ziyang was momentarily stunned. He remembered the two strange divine voices he heard in the trial realm—he seemed to hear the name Tang San. Was it that Tang San? A shadow crossed his heart.

Shaking his head, he answered, "Teacher, I don't know either. That god has already fallen and left behind only a divine position. The trial examiner told me very little."

"A god who has already fallen?" Electrolux was surprised but soon accepted it. "What did the examiner say?"

"He said the God of Death was a primordial god born at the beginning of the world. He controlled the laws of death and was one of the rulers of this starry sky," Zhu Ziyang repeated Xiao Bai's words.

"A primordial god born at the beginning of the world… a controller of laws… ruler of the starry sky…" Electrolux softly repeated the cryptic terms. His old face showed uncertainty and deep thought.

"Teacher, have you heard those terms before?" Zhu Ziyang asked with hopeful eyes.

"Unfortunately…" Electrolux sighed regretfully. "I've only heard the term 'starry sky.' The other two I've never encountered."

"I see..." Zhu Ziyang's face briefly showed disappointment but quickly cleared. "Then Teacher, what does the term 'starry sky' mean?"

"Haha, I do know a bit about that." Electrolux smiled. "The 'starry sky' refers to the fundamental structure of the universe. Opposing it is the Abyss. The world we live in belongs to the starry sky. When mortals speak of transcendence, they mean stepping beyond the mundane and entering the starry sky—to become a god."

"So in other words, the starry sky is essentially the Divine Realm?" Zhu Ziyang mused aloud.

"That's a simplistic way of putting it," Electrolux replied. "The starry sky contains the Divine Realm and all the worlds beneath it. Every starry sky holds countless worlds and one Divine Realm. My homeland, the Holy Demon Continent, and the Douluo Continent do not belong to the same starry sky. It's said that between different skies lie countless abysses and black holes. I don't even know how I ended up in this world."

"Haha! Doesn't that prove I was destined to meet you, Teacher?" Zhu Ziyang laughed.

"Hahahaha! That's true!" Electrolux laughed heartily. "Ziyang, meeting you is the greatest blessing of my life!"

"Hehe." Zhu Ziyang smiled and returned to bed. "Teacher, let's rest for now. We'll start planning about the divine inheritance tomorrow."

"Alright, I'll follow your lead!" Electrolux, in high spirits, floated back into Zhu Ziyang's spiritual sea.

Zhu Ziyang lay down, closed his eyes, and calmed his excited heart. Once all fell silent, he realized something—he couldn't remain indifferent toward the divine inheritance or transcendence. Perhaps before he learned of gods, his goal was merely to become a Title Douluo. But now that he knew gods truly existed, the desire to transcend mortality and step into the Divine Realm was naturally born within him.

This was the essence of cultivation—the ultimate goal of all soul masters.

To cultivate is to transcend.

Zhu Ziyang quickly fell asleep, but the waves he had stirred were just beginning. The fate he had altered had only just begun to reveal itself.

At this moment, within Zhu Ziyang's spiritual sea, Xue Di and Bing Di were already in ecstatic joy. Electrolux stood in front of them, his gaze fixed on a soul crystal of the Silver Dragon Wolf.

"Xue Di, is this real? It feels too unbelievable!" Bing Di's voice trembled with disbelief and shock.

"Hehe, what's so unbelievable? Isn't this exactly what we hoped for?" Xue Di's voice held both relief and a hint of bitterness. "Why is fate so unfair to us soul beasts?"

"Xue Di…" Bing Di looked at her with concern.

"It's nothing, Bingbing. I'm just venting. Besides, we're no longer soul beasts. We're spirit souls now." Xue Di sighed. "All I hope is that Zhu Ziyang successfully becomes a god and takes us into the Divine Realm. I want to see what it's really like!"

"Yes! He will! I'm sure of it!" Bing Di said firmly. That was her nature—once she believed in something, she wouldn't turn back. "By the way, Xue Di, what's Elder Yi doing? He's been staring at that crystal for a while. What even is that crystal?"

"I heard from Zhu Ziyang that it holds the soul of a Dragon Wolf—the source of his second martial soul's first soul ring." Xue Di's voice grew solemn, and Bing Di caught an unusual undertone.

"Dragon Wolf? From the Extreme North?" Bing Di asked.

"Yes. And she was a divine beast—a Auspicious Beast. One of the sacred beasts of our Extreme North!" Xue Di said through gritted teeth.

"What?! A Auspicious Beast?!" Bing Di was stunned. "You mean Zhu Ziyang killed a Auspicious Beast of the Extreme North? But… why didn't we sense her existence? How did she grow to one hundred thousand years without us noticing?"

"I don't know!" Xue Di replied. "That Auspicious Beast sacrificed herself willingly to Zhu Ziyang. He didn't explain why. We'll have to ask her once her soul awakens."

"Alright..." Bing Di looked at the crystal with a mix of confusion and regret. A Auspicious Beast! If they'd found her earlier, maybe Xue Di wouldn't have had to rebuild her body, and she wouldn't have needed to agree to Tianmeng's plan...

Damn it. Is this fate? So unfair!

Meanwhile, another figure was lamenting the unfairness of fate—the King of the Ferocious Beasts of the Star Dou Forest's Forbidden Land, Di Tian.

At that moment, Di Tian and other fierce beasts knelt respectfully before a verdant, life-filled lake. A cold but weak female voice echoed from the lakebed.

"Hateful! Another human god! This damned heaven—why is it so unfair?!"

"Lord!" Di Tian and the others bowed even lower.

"Di Tian, watch over the Auspicious Beast closely. I've sensed a shameless god eyeing the fate of our soul beast race!" the voice warned, filled with vigilance and fury.

"Understood, my lord!" Di Tian replied respectfully.

"Good. You may rise. I must continue my slumber. Di Tian, in this time, stay cautious. Don't leave the Lake of Life unless necessary." The voice added sternly, "The inheritance of a divine position demands a sacrifice. Do not repeat the mistake of that great whale from ten thousand years ago!"

"Thank you for your concern, my lord. We will obey!" Di Tian stood with a respectful bow. "Farewell, my lord!"

"Farewell, my lord!" Bi Ji and the others echoed.

Moments later, Di Tian turned to the other beasts, his gaze sharp.

"You heard the Lord's words. Chi Wang, Xiong Jun—keep an eye on the Auspicious Beast. Don't let her run off!"

"Di—Di Tian... the Auspicious Beast… she disappeared three days ago..." Xiong Jun stammered, trembling, eyes flickering with fear.

"What?!" Di Tian grabbed Xiong Jun and hoisted him into the air, his eyes blazing. "Why didn't you say anything earlier?! Where did she go?!"

"S-She took human form and left the Star Dou Forest… when I found out, I only saw the message she left behind!" Xiong Jun, maintaining his two-meter-tall burly man form, now looked utterly ridiculous being held aloft by the elegant-looking Di Tian.

"Damn it! I want to skin you alive!" Di Tian was furious. Their Lord had just warned them to protect the Auspicious Beast—and now she was gone! This was a slap in the face!

"Find her! Bring her back! If you don't—don't bother coming back at all!"

"Y-Yes!" Xiong Jun trembled, nodding furiously.
