Donny originally thought that dinner was a small gathering with a limited number of people including the professor and Jean. As they were all high-level mutant fighters, they could get to know each other through the gathering and talk when they met in the future.
But he didn't expect the dinner to be a school-wide party.
Professor X opened the school hall, and all mutant students of all grades participated. Dozens of tables were put together, and famous delicacies from all continents were spread on them. All kinds of rare and exotic food dishes were on the table.
The aroma is pervasive and the colors are colorful, making people salivate.
Children and teenagers of all ages were running around, laughing and talking. Some cunning boys even took out some wine that they got from somewhere and drank one glass after another until they were high, but they were quickly caught by the instructors.
They were not old enough to drink and would be severely punished. The school rules at Xavier School were very strict in some aspects.
Donnie always felt that he was not suitable for this kind of occasion. It was indeed very lively, with a bunch of children running around, shouting, and cakes and other things smeared everywhere. It was very interesting. But Donnie really felt awkward.
When he sat in his seat, a bunch of bad boys surrounded him, staring at him intently, but no one said a word. They just looked at him as if they were looking at a rare animal.
Donny finally couldn't help it and shouted angrily: "You guys, if you have questions, just ask. What do you mean by just looking at me? Do you want a beating?" He was a little scared by being stared at. A group of teenagers stared at him in silence.
Finally, a disheveled young man couldn't help himself. He was impatient and had been drinking a little. He jumped up and asked first: "Are you the mechanic?"
Nonsense! I am not you, am I?!
Donnie gave him a disdainful look and asked who he was.
The disheveled fellow called himself John Allardyce, and nicknamed himself Fireman.
"They say you killed a lot of people," said John. He was young and had an impulsive and angry personality, just like his ability to control fire. He was very curious about people like Donny.
"Human? That depends on your definition of 'human'. I just killed a guy some time ago, and he happened to be called John. Is he your brother?" Donnie said jokingly. He picked up a small fish with a fork, smelled it, and it was delicious.
The fire man was not afraid after hearing this, but his eyes lit up. He had a manic temper and found it difficult to be a good boy in a peaceful school. He was very envious of Tony's life.
Another boy suddenly spoke up: "What will you do next? Will you continue to hunt vampires?" This peaceful boy introduced himself as Bobby Drake.
Donny looked at him in surprise. The news of him slaughtering vampires was most widely circulated in the dark world, and all the news in the open was blocked by organizations such as S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Security Council. How did this young man know about it?
"I know some hacking techniques. I hacked into some systems and found that many people were talking about you. They were waiting to see your next move." Bobby said that it was at that time that he realized that vampires really existed in the world and did not only exist in movies and TV shows.
The other listeners were very surprised and asked Bobby questions one after another. Could it be that there really were such creatures as vampires?
"Could it be a kind of mutant as well? Just like angel mutants and demon mutants, there are also vampire mutants?" Someone speculated. He was knowledgeable and knew some of the ability factions within the mutants.
Donny smiled and shook his head. He picked up another plate and put it directly into his mouth in front of the stunned gazes of the teenagers. He didn't care about table etiquette at all, and he didn't consider himself an outsider. He was extremely heroic.
Many people looked over, then turned away with a smile. People like Professor Charles smiled and watched him joking with a group of bad boys from afar. They were very happy to see Donny mingling with them.
Donnie wiped his mouth and warned the teenagers that vampires are a group of lowly beasts who feed on innocent ordinary people and are a huge cancer that depends on humans.
If you have the chance to meet him in the future, kill him immediately without any hesitation.
"If you get bitten by that thing, you're basically done for." Donnie advised that he wanted to instill some real events into these greenhouse flowers to arouse their vigilance and self-protection awareness.
"Then what will you do? Will you continue to hunt down vampires as some people have speculated? Many bad guys are saying that a war will break out. They even speculate that you might lead the entire mutant group to launch a massive war against the vampire clan that will sweep the world." Bobby kept chasing Donnie. He lived in school all year round and seldom went to the outside world. He wanted to get some information from Donnie.
"I don't know if this will lead to a war between us mutants and vampires. I don't have that kind of appeal at the moment, and it's impossible for the professor and Old Wan to listen to me. But at least one thing is very clear, my war with vampires has begun." Donny walked around in circles. He had never seen so many good things, let alone eaten them, he had never even heard of them. This time he wanted to eat to his heart's content, with a bunch of teenagers following him closely.
What seemed like ordinary words to Donnie caused a huge wave among a group of hothouse flowers, infinitely enhancing his status.
One man started a war! And yet, he spoke with such a matter-of-fact tone! As if it were perfectly normal for him to start a war alone!
The middle school boys were a little crazy. They were inexperienced and had too little experience, and they had never met such a crazy person before, not to mention that they thought it was natural for this young man to be crazy!
One person can start a war, one person is an army!
The group of middle school students were instantly lost in their fantasy. In the blazing wilderness, they were single-handedly charging into the enemy horde and scattering them to pieces. Burning John was the most frantic, slamming the table and, in his excitement, pulling a long-cherished can of wine from his pocket and pouring it down.
Fireman John dared to swear that he had never met such a person before. The image of the young man in front of him was infinitely tall, and he opened the door to a new world for him with one punch.
Ororo walked over, slapped John to the ground, snatched the wine from his hand, and blamed Donnie: "You shouldn't say this to them, and you shouldn't watch them drink. They are still too young and shouldn't be exposed to things they can't touch."
This has always been the philosophy of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. They carefully protect these young members of the tribe.
Donnie shrugged and gave an apologetic smile, though he felt a certain disapproval in his heart. This world is cruel, leaving little time and space for these young people to grow up. Flowers in a greenhouse may be beautiful, but they are ultimately useless.
Donny and a group of bad boys looted food everywhere, causing many students to complain in dissatisfaction, but soon more people joined in, swept up all the rich food and ate it up.
Everyone had a great time that night, and many people got to know and accept the unfamiliar face of Donny.
When the meeting ended, it was already midnight.
Donnie returned to the room that had been arranged for him in advance, and ate his meal with a full stomach. While others fell asleep contentedly, he did not sleep. Donnie was waiting for something, and he believed that someone would come to find him.
Soon, there was the sound of tiptoeing in the corridor, followed by a knock on the door.
"Mr. Donnie, are you asleep? I'm John, and I want to talk to you." Fire Man John whispered, afraid of being discovered.
