"Alright," Goku said, taking a deep breath.
His aura ignited like flame. God ki surged, dense and blazing, and his hair shifted to red.
Super Saiyan God.
Bardock paused, studying him.
Goku grinned. "This is a new change I got through Ultra Instinct. It's called Super Saiyan God."
"Super Saiyan God…" Bardock fell silent.
A few seconds later, he made up his mind.
His own aura flared—darker, heavier, a deep crimson. His hair spiked up and turned red as well.
Gine stared between them, completely lost. "Huh? What? You can do that too?"
Gohan frowned, equally puzzled.
Both forms looked like fire, but the color was different. Goku's was brighter. Bardock's felt deeper, almost dim.
And Bardock's hair stood straight up, while Goku's didn't.
"Your form… looks a lot like mine," Goku said, looking Bardock over.
"It is," Bardock replied. "Super Saiyan God."
"Yeah," Goku said, nodding. "Same idea, but the details don't match."
"If yours is Super Saiyan God," Bardock said after a moment, "then I'll call mine Ancient Super Saiyan God."
Goku laughed. "So that's why mine turns out like this."
"You mean because your dad looks like this, you ended up becoming Super Saiyan God too?" Bardock said with a small smile.
"Maybe," Goku said, scratching his head. "Otherwise, why can't Vegeta do it?"
Bardock didn't answer. It was probably for the best that Vegeta wasn't here to hear that.
"Come at me with everything, Kakarot," Bardock said, beckoning.
"Alright," Goku said, setting his stance.
Goku burst forward and threw a heavy punch. Bardock caught it in his palm and slapped a palm strike back at him.
Goku hopped away, dodged, then snapped a kick toward Bardock. Bardock shifted aside.
In the next instant, Bardock blurred behind him and drove another palm strike in.
Goku spun, caught Bardock's hand—and still got blasted backward by the impact. He skidded across the ground, carving two long grooves before he stopped, wincing as he shook out his hand.
"Ow… that hurt," Goku muttered, rubbing his palm.
"Not bad," Bardock said, genuinely approving.
He felt a quiet satisfaction settle in his chest.
The low-class warrior Kakarot had climbed all the way to this point. He could even last several exchanges against Bardock's hands.
Bardock wasn't using his full strength, but he could tell Goku wasn't either.
"Alright," Bardock said with a smile. "Now I'm getting serious. Be careful, Kakarot."
"Bring it," Goku said, face hardening.
Bardock moved so fast it felt like he blinked straight into place in front of him.
Goku's eyes widened. He stopped holding back, forcing his god ki to the limit as his aura flared violently.
Bardock drove a palm strike into Goku's chest—too fast to dodge.
Goku took the hit and shot backward, then steadied himself in midair, aura still blazing.
"Dad, you're incredible," Goku said with a sheepish grin, scratching his head. "I thought Super Saiyan God would make me unstoppable."
"Is that all you've got?" Bardock asked.
Goku lowered his voice, grinning. "Honestly… I've got one more transformation."
Bardock's eyes sharpened. "Show me."
"It's still unstable," Goku warned. "I can't hold it for long."
Bardock nodded once.
Goku drew a deep breath.
Blue light exploded outward. His hair turned blue, and his red aura shifted into a blazing blue flame.
Bardock stared, stunned. "What… what transformation is that?"
"It's Super Saiyan on top of Super Saiyan God," Goku explained. "It's not a fifty-times boost, but it still multiplies my power a lot."
Bardock fell quiet again.
Gine finally shouted from the side, unable to hold it in. "Do you two just carry hair dye around or what?"
Bardock stared. Goku blinked. Gohan silently wiped sweat.
Goku coughed, embarrassed. "Yeah… this form's name is a mouthful. I'll have Ken help me come up with something better later."
"Fine," Bardock said.
Goku reset his stance. Bardock motioned him in.
Goku shot forward. His fist slammed into Bardock's hand. Bardock caught it again—but this time his whole body jolted, and he took a step back.
Bardock's eyes flickered with surprise. "Excellent!"
A God of Destruction at level 49, and that punch still forced him back a step. That alone told him how far Kakarot had come.
"Not done yet!" Goku grinned, speeding up.
Punches cracked through the air in a storm. Bardock raised both hands and blocked, impact after impact without pause.
About a minute later, Goku drove another heavy punch in.
Their fists met head-on.
Power surged through their arms, and a roaring shockwave rolled outward. Gohan instantly moved in front of Gine and threw up a barrier.
The mountain range flattened in an instant. Peaks shattered into rubble, the ground smoothed into a broken plain.
The sky dimmed as dark clouds piled in, and the air turned thick and damp.
"That's enough," Bardock said with a smile.
"Yeah… agreed," Goku said, nodding. "Super Saiyan Blue is basically at its limit." The blue glow faded, and he returned to normal.
"Kakarot," Bardock said, satisfied, "seeing you reach this point makes your father proud. By level standards, you're finally around level 10."
By comparison, this blue transformation should be around level 15, but Goku's foundation wasn't strong enough yet, so blue only brought him up to about level 10.
Goku laughed. "I don't really understand the numbers, but I get what you mean."
"But if you get arrogant because of that," Bardock said, voice turning heavy, "you'll be making a huge mistake."
His god ki erupted higher.
His hair spiked up further, and deep red lightning wrapped around him, snapping loudly.
Goku stared. "T-That's…!"
"This is Super Saiyan God Two," Bardock explained.
"Super Saiyan God Two? That's amazing… you can even throw off lightning," Goku said, wide-eyed.
Gohan stared too, stunned.
Gine squinted. "Did he transform again?"
"Yeah," Gohan said. "I can't really sense his ki, but I can tell he got a lot stronger."
"It doesn't look that different," Gine muttered. "He just has lightning now."
"There's an even stronger form," Bardock said.
Goku froze. "There's more?"
Bardock roared, and his red hair began to grow rapidly down his back until it fell past his waist. His brows sank deep, leaving thin lines above his eyes.
The deep red lightning thickened, louder and denser than before.
Goku stood there, speechless. Gohan looked just as shaken.
"This is a new transformation I developed recently," Bardock said with a smile. "Super Saiyan God Three."
"That's incredible," Goku said, genuinely stunned.
"Even like this," Bardock sighed, "among the Gods of Destruction, I'm still near the bottom."
"I know you'll surpass them," Goku said with a confident smile. "You'll become the strongest God of Destruction."
"I'll keep pushing," Bardock said, nodding. "You keep pushing too, Kakarot." He let his aura fade and returned to normal.
…
At Mr. Satan's house, he stared at the visitors who dropped in from the sky, blank for a full two seconds, before he recognized Majin Buu.
That's my Buu.
It's been ages—how did he end up as someone's mount?
Who has the nerve to ride my Buu?
Mr. Satan glanced at Zeno-sama, then at the two guards beside him, and didn't dare do anything reckless.
Buu was already terrifyingly strong… and he was willingly acting as this person's mount. That could only mean Zeno-sama was on a completely different level.
"Hey, you're Mr. Satan, right?" Zeno-sama asked.
"Yes… I'm Mr. Satan!" Mr. Satan nodded hard.
"Buu said your food is really good," Zeno-sama said, hopping down from Buu. "Especially the meals you cook yourself."
"Ah… it's nothing special," Mr. Satan said with an awkward laugh. "Maybe it just suits Buu's taste."
"Go make it," Zeno-sama said. "I want to try."
"Of course! Please wait a moment—I'll start right away," Mr. Satan replied, bowing deeply.
"Zeno-sama, can I go with Mr. Satan?" Buu asked, eyes pleading.
"Go ahead," Zeno-sama said, nodding.
Buu let out a small breath of relief. He stayed in mount form anyway, hands on the ground, moving on all fours as he followed Mr. Satan into the kitchen.
"Buu! I missed you so much," Mr. Satan said, rushing over and hugging him tight. "I hadn't heard anything for ages. I was worried sick…"
Buu's eyes filled with tears on the spot.
Mr. Satan really is the best. At least he actually missed me.
My dream of becoming a little God of Destruction is completely dead.
Not only that, now I'm that guy's mount. And he spanks me all the time.
Shameless.
All I did was try to turn you into chocolate and eat you. Did he really need to torment me for this long?
Buu fumed inside, but he couldn't do anything about a god that frightening.
After a little chatting, Mr. Satan started making Buu's favorite—egg fried rice.
"So who is he?" Mr. Satan asked, cracking an egg into the pan. "Is he really that strong?"
"Really strong," Buu said, nodding. "I'm nowhere near him. Good thing you didn't offend him. He's terrifying."
"Did he bully you?" Mr. Satan asked.
Buu's eyes welled up again.
Isn't it obvious?
Mr. Satan suddenly spat into the pan.
Buu stared.
"He wants me to cook for him?" Mr. Satan snickered. "I'll drown him in spit!"
Buu answered carefully, "Zeno-sama is the Omni-King—the greatest god in all of creation. With a wave of his hand, he can erase a universe."
Mr. Satan's grin froze. His face went pale.
A second later, he grabbed the fried rice he'd just spat into with his bare hands, yelped from the heat, and shoved every last bite into his mouth on the spot, burning himself the whole time.
Buu watched, speechless.
"That one was bad," Mr. Satan said quickly. He threw the pan into the trash and dragged out a brand-new one. "I'll remake it."
Buu had no words.
"Oh, right!" Mr. Satan suddenly had an idea. "If he's the Omni-King… can he help us deal with a major villain?"
"Who?" Buu asked.
"Cell," Mr. Satan said, fists clenched. "In nine days, he's holding a tournament called the Cell Games. If we lose, he says he'll kill every person on Earth!"
"Cell?" Buu nodded. "Yeah, I've seen him."
"You have?" Mr. Satan blinked. "Can you beat him?"
"That guy?" Buu grinned. "He's not even worth one finger."
"Then can you enter the tournament?" Mr. Satan asked, excited.
"That depends on whether Zeno-sama allows it," Buu said, shaking his head.
Mr. Satan's face tightened.
"I already signed up," Mr. Satan declared righteously. "I'm going to beat that monster with my own hands! Before this, he slaughtered almost a hundred thousand innocent people."
"I'll cheer for you," Buu said seriously.
"Good," Mr. Satan said, nodding hard, and kept cooking.
Zeno-sama wandered alone through Mr. Satan's yard. He'd told his guards not to follow him and let them explore the planet freely, and the two guards treated it like a rare vacation.
Mr. Satan wasn't a top-tier billionaire yet, but he was already very wealthy. Still, his yard couldn't compare to Bulma's.
As Zeno-sama walked around, he noticed a little girl up ahead, throwing punches and kicks at a sandbag.
She was only nine, but she was already slightly taller than Zeno-sama.
He stopped a few meters away and watched her hammer it again and again.
"Hey," Zeno-sama asked curiously, "did that thing make you mad?"
Videl paused and turned to look at him. "Who are you? You look weird… and your clothes are weird too."
"I asked if that thing made you mad," Zeno-sama repeated.
"You mean the sandbag?" Videl pointed.
"Yes," Zeno-sama said, nodding.
"No," Videl said with a smile. "I'm just training. I want to get stronger."
Zeno-sama nodded thoughtfully, then scratched his head. "Oh, I get it. Is it because of that guy named Cell holding a tournament?"
"Yeah," Videl said, nodding. "That scary monster. I want to enter too, but Dad won't let me."
"Your dad is Mr. Satan?" Zeno-sama asked.
"Mhm," Videl said softly. Then she pointed at the sandbag. "You should try it too. Hitting it feels awesome."
"Really? I'll try," Zeno-sama said, walking up and throwing a punch.
The sandbag didn't move.
Instead, Zeno-sama bounced backward several steps like the bag had pushed him away. He kept stumbling until he landed on his butt.
Videl stared at him, speechless.
"Are you okay?" she asked, hurrying over to help him up.
"I'm fine," Zeno-sama said, looking at the swaying bag and shaking his head.
"You should train more," Videl advised. "You're way too weak."
"Ooh…" Zeno-sama nodded.
"Watch this," Videl said, rushing in and pounding the sandbag with punches and kicks.
While she was at it, Zeno-sama casually waved a hand and erased the sandbag completely.
"Ha!" Videl leapt into a kick—
And froze.
The sandbag was gone.
