Chapter 213 - Chapter 213 – Whis Concedes, Merus Loses It

"His gold transformation is Super Saiyan… so what's the red one? I've never seen a red transformation!" Vegeta asked, still unwilling to accept it.

"For now, we'll call that red transformation Super Saiyan God," Ken said after thinking.

"W-What? Super Saiyan God? Kakarot's transformation is Super Saiyan God? Don't mess with me!" Vegeta froze.

Why does a low-class warrior get both Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God?

And I, the genius warrior, can't do anything?

I can't accept this.

Vegeta felt like crying.

Too bad souls don't have tears.

"Didn't you say Kakarot trains Ultra Instinct? How did he end up with Super Saiyan God?" Vegeta gritted out.

"Ultra Instinct or Ultra Ego—either way, it's a method of training divine power," Ken explained. "Once that power reaches a certain level, there's a chance you'll trigger Super Saiyan God when your emotions surge and then settle back down."

Vegeta couldn't make sense of it.

My emotions surged like crazy too.

"There's a prerequisite," Ken said, speaking as if to Vegeta, but clearly explaining it for Whis and Merus as well. "You need a calm heart. A calm heart increases the S-Cells in your body. Once your S-Cells reach a certain level, that emotional spike—and then the return to calm—can push you into Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God."

Whis and Merus stayed quiet.

Whis, especially, felt like he'd been crushed.

At this point, there was nothing left to compare.

Whis could tell—at Goku's current strength, he could beat Frieza easily.

"Then how many S-Cells do I have? Can you tell?" Vegeta asked quickly, hope flashing in his voice.

"Not many. You're a long way off," Ken said, shaking his head.

Vegeta: "…"

It hit him right in the soul again.

"Tell me… how do I raise my S-Cells?" Vegeta pressed.

"I'll teach you later." Ken smiled. "But before that, I need you to do something for me."

"Hmph. This time, I don't care what it is—I'll do it," Vegeta snapped, clenching his fists so hard it hurt.

If I'd started training with Ken earlier, would I still be this helpless?

Now I've lost to a low-class warrior.

I didn't just lose—I got left behind.

I used to think even if Kakarot was ahead, the gap couldn't be that big.

But now he can turn into a Super Saiyan. I never saw that coming.

I actually believed only the Legendary Super Saiyan could become a Super Saiyan.

And I completely forgot what Ken told me about S-Cells.

What a blunder.

If I could do it all over again, I'd grind Kakarot into the dirt.

"Whis, what do you think?" Ken asked with a grin.

Whis: "…"

Silence, for a moment.

"My, my… I lost," Whis said at last, drawing a long breath and letting it out.

Lost.

Completely.

Whis never expected Goku to transform at all.

And he awakened two transformations in one go.

Frieza was finished.

"Don't be like that." Ken smiled. "What did I say? Until the very last moment, never give up. Maybe Frieza still has a chance to turn it around."

Whis didn't answer.

Should I just leave?

"Look." Ken lifted his staff and pointed into the distant sky. "Seems like Frieza's brother showed up. He couldn't keep watching."

Whis still said nothing. He'd already sensed Cooler arriving.

But even if Cooler came, what then?

Goku's Super Saiyan God was too strong.

Even if it didn't last long, beating Cooler shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not staying here to embarrass myself.

"Oracle Fish, didn't you say you wanted to build yourself a new home?" Whis suddenly asked, turning his head.

"Yeah… so we're going back to build it now?" Oracle Fish replied immediately, nodding as if he understood everything.

"Oracle Fish, you've been so quiet I almost forgot you were here," Ken said quickly. "My apologies."

Oracle Fish: "…"

That was worse than saying nothing.

"We've been out a while. It's time to go back," Whis said, stretching as he pretended to yawn. "The realm of the Gods of Destruction has probably been trashed by the others."

"Mm. Let's go," Oracle Fish agreed.

"Then… Ken, we're heading back," Whis said, then added, "About proposing to my three sisters… I'll put it on the schedule as soon as I can."

"Much appreciated." Ken chuckled. "And you're welcome to gamble again next time."

Whis: "…"

Whis didn't bother responding. Starlike light flared around him.

Whoosh!

In the next instant, Whis vanished with Oracle Fish.

Ken calmly looked inward at Amarella. Beside her, a tiny figure the same size and shape as Ken produced an exquisitely made bikini.

Amarella: "…"

"I'll toss it over. You change on the spot. You can do that, right?" Ken asked with a grin.

Amarella didn't answer. Her expression tightened.

How did we lose?

Whis and I are full angels!

And our insight is worse than a human who just became a trainee angel?

This is humiliating.

"Catch!" Ken said, flicking the bikini toward her.

Snap!

Amarella cooperated, and her angel outfit switched to the bikini in an instant.

Ken clicked his tongue in amazement.

Clothes really do change everything.

That outfit made Amarella's figure impossible to ignore.

She shifted slightly, then immediately looked uncomfortable under Ken's gaze.

I've worn angel outfits so long I'm used to them, and now you make me wear this?

"Alright, that's enough. I'm changing back," Amarella said, tossing her hair once, looking even more alluring for no reason.

"Not so fast. At least wear it for a year," Ken said, refusing. "A few seconds doesn't count."

"A year?" Amarella snorted, then switched straight back to her angel outfit. "No chance."

Ken: "…"

"So stingy. I'm just looking," Ken said, shaking his head. "Besides, you're inside my body—if I wanted to, it wouldn't be hard to see through appearances."

Amarella: "…"

Amarella looked completely done with him.

"But I'm not that kind of person." Ken's face went serious. "I have principles. If you don't agree, I won't look."

"That's good," Amarella said, finally letting out a breath.

"So you agree now?" Ken asked with a smile.

Amarella had no answer.

Merus, meanwhile, couldn't say a word. He was falling apart.

The joy he'd felt from Kale becoming a Legendary Super Saiyan had been washed away by Goku's Super Saiyan God.

How is this even fair?

A normal Saiyan can become Super Saiyan God too?

Bardock trained for a thousand years before he reached Super Saiyan God.

And Goku only trained for one year, and he can already do it?

Wait… Goku and Bardock's Super Saiyan God transformations look a little different.

If Merus remembered right, Bardock's Super Saiyan God had darker flames, and his hair stood up.

But Goku's hair didn't stand up.

What is going on?

But none of that matters right now.

At least from what Merus could tell, even though Goku had trained angel power, this transformation looked like it was drifting off-course.

If he keeps training like this, he might not even surpass Jiren in actual combat.

If he'd awakened Ultra Instinct directly, Jiren wouldn't stand a chance.

Instead, he awakened Super Saiyan God.

Merus's shaken thoughts started to move again.

So I still have a chance to win.

And Vegeta… yeah, he can't compare to Kale.

Wait—why am I comparing Goku to Kale?

Goku's comparison is Jiren.

Kale's comparison is Vegeta.

I almost got spun around by Ken again.

Merus slowly steadied himself, no longer as agitated as before.

And he felt relieved.

Good thing I didn't bet with him.

If I had, I'd lose just as badly.

Far out in the lake.

Cooler plunged into the water and hauled Frieza up by the arm.

"Frieza, you're not dead, are you? I knew it would turn out like this," Cooler said with a snort.

"Cooler, why are you sticking your nose into my business?" Frieza snapped, his pride stinging.

"The ruler of the universe can only be our family. We can't let Saiyans become this universe's masters," Cooler said coldly. "I'll go with you and deal with that green-glowing girl."

"Hmph. I don't need you," Frieza growled. "I haven't used my true power yet! Once I bring out one hundred percent, there's no way I lose to that brat!"

"Why is she glowing green? Who is she?" Cooler asked.

"Another Legendary Super Saiyan!" Frieza's teeth clenched so hard they clicked.

"L-Legendary Super Saiyan?" Cooler's expression shifted again and again. "That girl is the Legendary Super Saiyan?"

"If you're scared, you can leave," Frieza said with a sneer.

"Hah. Me, scared?" Cooler smiled faintly.

"I'm sure of one thing—this Legendary Super Saiyan is weaker than Broly," Frieza said, fists tight, veins bulging at his temple. "I'm killing her before she gets any stronger!"

"This just got interesting," Cooler said, his battle lust rising. "So it's the Legendary Super Saiyan. Fine. Let's see what's stronger—our kind, or that legend."

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The two brothers shot off toward Goku and the others.

"Kale, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Gohan asked, landing in front of her.

"AAAAAA!"

Kale jerked her head up and locked onto Gohan, her eyes flashing.

Gohan flinched.

The next moment, Kale lunged at him with wild, clawing motions.

Gohan stumbled back fast.

"Gohan's in trouble!" Piccolo shouted, not hesitating as he formed a spiraling beam of light in his hands.

"Makankosappo!"

The spiraling blast screamed toward Kale.

Bang!

Kale slapped it aside, swatting the Makankosappo away.

"AAAAAA!"

Kale shot Piccolo a fierce look, then dropped Gohan and charged straight at Piccolo.

Goku moved first. Gold light burst around him as he rushed in and blocked Kale's incoming punch with his forearm.

But the punch was too strong—Kale broke through his guard.

Thud!

Her fist slammed into Goku's chest.

Goku spat blood, and the gold light around him wavered, nearly collapsing.

"Dad!" Gohan shouted.

"Piccolo, Gohan—get out of here!" Goku said quickly. "Frieza's back, and he brought someone even stronger."

"No! I'm staying and fighting with you!" Gohan insisted. "You can't handle all three of them alone! I understand my body a lot better now—this time I can help!"

"Gohan, leave!" Piccolo snapped. "Staying here only gets in Goku's way! With our current strength, we can't beat them, and Kale's completely lost her mind."

"O-Okay…" Gohan nodded, swallowing hard.

Goku: "…"

Why does Gohan listen to Piccolo so easily?

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Piccolo and Gohan retreated at full speed.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Kale hammered Goku with a brutal flurry.

Goku didn't dare take her head-on. He relied on speed, slipping past one attack after another.

Just then, Cooler and Frieza arrived from the distance.

The moment they saw the scene, both of them froze.

What is this?

Who's fighting the Legendary Super Saiyan like that?

And who's that guy wrapped in gold light?

Cooler turned to Frieza, about to ask—

"I don't know," Frieza said, staring. "But judging by his outfit… he looks like Son Goku. Why is he a Super Saiyan too?"

Cooler: "…"

"How many Super Saiyans are there?" Cooler said, his composure cracking.

How did another one show up in the blink of an eye?

"Damn it! We can't let Super Saiyans keep multiplying!" Frieza snarled.

"They're tearing into each other. Perfect," Cooler said with a smile, already reading the situation.

Frieza nodded slowly. "Let them fight a little longer."

Kale kept chasing Goku, attacking without pause.

While dodging, Goku called out, "Kale, it's me—Son Goku. Gohan's dad. Wake up!"

Kale didn't respond. She drove a heavy punch into the ground beneath him.

Boom!

The land lurched violently, and the planet nearly split in half.

"Kale, you turned into this because of Gohan, right?" Goku called again from the sky. "The one who hurt Gohan is that guy—Frieza!"

He pointed straight at Frieza, who was watching nearby.

It worked.

Kale stopped. She turned her head toward Frieza, eyes sharp with hatred.

Frieza's stomach dropped.

Whoosh!

Kale rocketed straight at him.

Frieza's anger exploded.

You think I'm scared of you?

This time, I'll beat you into the ground.

"Both of us!" Cooler called to Frieza.

"Don't order me around!" Frieza snapped.

They moved together anyway, sweeping in from left and right to box Kale in.

Thud!

Cooler's fist crashed into Kale's cheek.

Kale didn't react. She took the hit without a change in expression, eyes still cold.

Then she grabbed Frieza by the back of the head and smashed her forehead into him.

"Aaagh!"

Frieza screamed, his vision swimming as stars spun in his head.

"Damn monkey!" Frieza roared, driving a heavy punch into Kale's stomach.

Kale acted like it didn't matter. She clamped a hand on Frieza's head and dragged him down.

Boom!

She slammed Frieza face-first into the ground, leaving a crater.

Then she seized his tail again and whipped him around, front to back, left to right.

Frieza's wails echoed across Planet Namek.

Even Goku felt a twinge of pity.

What a miserable guy.

But Krillin's death… that one's on me.
