Broly and Buu, meanwhile, went straight to Universe 6's God of Destruction Realm and slowly landed on the ground.
"Where's Champa?" Broly asked.
"Oh, oh, maybe Champa-sama knew you were coming and left early." Vados replied with a gentle smile.
"Which way did he go?" Broly asked.
"Angels are not allowed to take part in this event. Final interpretation belongs to the Grand Priest. If you have any objections, please submit an appeal to the Grand Priest." Vados said with a pleasant smile.
Broly: "…"
Buu scratched his head, a baffled look on his face.
"You're Ken's wife. Why aren't you together with him?" Broly suddenly asked.
Vados was stunned by the question and froze on the spot, not sure how to answer.
"I heard husbands and wives are supposed to live together, eat together, and sleep together." Broly added.
Majin Buu nodded along, half-understanding, to back him up.
Vados was left speechless.
There was a brief silence.
Then Vados's eyes lit up. She fluttered her long lashes and asked with a smile, "Broly, marriage is something that takes both sides' consent. If only one side agrees, they can't get married."
"You don't want to?" Broly's eyes glinted.
"Oh, oh, take Ai for example. She likes you, Mr. Broly, but would you be willing to marry Ai?" Vados shot back.
"Would you?" Buu looked at Broly with a nosy, gossip-loving expression.
"Shut up." Broly snapped at Buu.
Buu immediately squeezed his mouth flat like putty until it disappeared.
"Let's go." Broly rose into the air at once.
Buu hurried after him.
Vados quietly let out a sigh of relief.
That question really caught me off guard.
Those two little brats have grown up.
…
Universe 6, Earth.
Bulma's home.
"You told the Grand Priest you wanted to set up a new divine position in the divine realm—the Great God of Destruction, right?" After waking up and hearing the news, Amarella couldn't help asking again to confirm it.
"This new godly seat is for Broly." Ken nodded, not denying it. Then he asked curiously, "Is there some problem with that?"
"Based on what I know of the Grand Priest, Broly's probably going to be in danger." Amarella said thoughtfully.
Ken's expression shifted slightly, his brows knitting together.
"If he wants to be a true Great God of Destruction—the God of Destruction above all other Gods of Destruction—he'll have to make choices that are far harsher than what the other Gods of Destruction face." Amarella guessed. "I think the Grand Priest is going to issue a decree that Broly isn't allowed to kill other Gods of Destruction, but they'll all be allowed to kill him."
Ken's heart sank.
But soon, he relaxed a little.
Is what the Grand Priest is doing fair?
On the surface, it doesn't really look fair.
But in truth, Ken didn't see anything fundamentally wrong with it.
Only by putting Broly in a situation of life and death could he keep forcing himself beyond his limits, becoming stronger and stronger, until he truly became the Great God of Destruction.
There was still one thing Ken wanted to confirm.
Did Broly actually want to be this Great God of Destruction?
And do it while risking his life?
If he didn't take on this role, Broly could just stick with Ken, eating and drinking well and living without a care in the world.
Once Universe 18 slowly developed, Broly could even bring the people he liked to the God of Destruction Realm to live together.
Ken thought it over seriously, then reached out to Broly and shared all his thoughts.
"I've decided, Ken. I'm going to become the sword in your hand!" Broly laughed. "This Great God of Destruction job is mine! Even if it means I die!"
"The sword in my hand, huh…" Ken smiled. "Broly, how about you come back and be a philosopher instead…"
Broly: "???"
"I don't use swords. I use a staff." Ken explained.
Broly: "…"
"Weren't you the one who said you wanted me to become the strongest God of Destruction? That's my goal too." Broly replied.
"In that case, go without holding back. Even if you die, I'll use Time Reversal to bring you back." Ken said reassuringly. "Remember, you've got a powerful angel at your back."
"You can't use that! You'll disappear!" Broly shook his head hard.
"I know what I'm doing. Just do your best." Ken encouraged him.
The call ended there.
"So you really let him go… If he dies, are you actually going to use Time Reversal?" Amarella asked. "Don't forget, the last time you used Time Reversal, it was to let your body shed its shell and become an angel. You're already a true angel now. Time Reversal can only go back up to three minutes. If it's any longer… I'm telling you, you really will disappear. Even if you don't, and somehow survive by sheer luck, you'll end up like me—weak and exhausted."
"We'll see when we get there." Ken just smiled carelessly, then glanced toward the floating projection again.
…
Vegeta's battle with Nappa, Piccolo, and the others had come to a temporary halt.
Vegeta had given Piccolo's group three hours, a grace period while he waited for Goku to appear.
"I'm sorry, I… I was too scared to…" Gohan was on the verge of tears, heart filled with guilt.
"Get out of my sight. A coward like you is useless!" Piccolo snapped, furious. "You let me down."
"Gohan, this is still your first real fight… Don't be so hard on him." Krillin pleaded on the side.
Piccolo glanced over toward Vegeta.
Sure enough, that guy Vegeta was probably at least fifteen times stronger than Raditz.
Even that Saiyan named Nappa was already this powerful, and yet a single sentence from Vegeta had scared him stiff.
Can Goku really beat Vegeta under Ken's guidance?
"Hey, Vegeta, do you really think Kakarot is going to show up?" Nappa asked. "I still say I'm not wrong… Once Kakarot realizes he's no match for us, he'll just run away. And that Ken… you know who I mean… He hasn't shown up at all. What's he doing? He must've figured out that Kakarot absolutely can't beat us. That's why he just sent a bunch of cannon fodder to stall us."
As soon as he finished, Nappa anxiously looked all around him, terrified Broly would suddenly drop out of the sky again. Only after confirming there was no danger did he finally relax a little.
"I've given him enough time." Vegeta snorted. "He said long ago that Kakarot would become my lifelong rival. I'll wait for him right here today! I'm going to grind Kakarot into the dirt! So what if I can't become a Super Saiyan—am I still going to lose to a low-class warrior?"
"You're absolutely right." Nappa said at once.
"I just hope he really comes. I don't want him to disappoint me." Vegeta kept huffing coldly. He picked up his scouter from the ground, put it back on his ear, and tapped the button. "I'll take these three hours to learn more about that Planet Sadala Raditz mentioned."
…
Universe 7, Frieza's Planet 85.
Inside Frieza's palace.
"Frieza-sama, we just received a transmission from Vegeta and Nappa." A subordinate stepped forward to report.
"Oh? Any new developments?" Frieza looked out the window, not turning around.
"They've already reached Earth, but the signal suddenly cut out… Honestly, it kept dropping in and out. We only managed to gather a little intel." the subordinate replied.
He then relayed everything they'd managed to pick up.
"Sadala?" Frieza murmured when he heard the word, freezing for a moment as he slowly turned.
"Frieza-sama, from what I know, Planet Sadala was destroyed a long time ago." Berryblue said curiously from the side. "So how could Raditz have gone to Planet Sadala? He must've been feeding us false information on purpose, right?"
"No, you're mistaken." Frieza shook his head lightly and said in a low voice, "Around twenty years ago, I went to a very special place. There, I learned that aside from our universe, there are other universes."
"Other universes?" Berryblue blinked.
"Two universes whose numbers add up to thirteen are called twin universes. Every planet and race we have in our universe has a certain chance of existing in its twin universe as well." Frieza briefly explained. "So those three little monkeys—Vegeta and his crew—have a very high chance of having been pulled into Universe 6. They just don't realize where they are."
"I never imagined such a universe existed." Berryblue was genuinely impressed.
"So, in Universe 6, there are still that many wild monkeys running around. How disgusting." Frieza was in a foul mood at the thought.
"Frieza-sama, should we go to Universe 6 and wipe out Planet Sadala?" Berryblue suggested.
"Berryblue, do you have a way to enter Universe 6?" Frieza sneered.
"I heard you can go from Earth?" Berryblue guessed.
"No, there's no need to go to Universe 6. I heard something far more valuable in that transmission just now." The corners of Frieza's mouth curled upward in a faint smile.
"What did you hear?" Berryblue asked.
"Dragon Balls." Frieza snorted and his smile widened.
"What's that?" Berryblue asked curiously.
"In that special place I once went to, there was a thing called a Dragon Ball. They say it can grant any wish." Frieza said excitedly. "The Dragon Balls I saw were as big as a planet. But from what they said, it sounds like the Dragon Balls they're talking about are scattered across a planet… You could say they're the little offspring of that giant Dragon Ball."
Berryblue: "…"
Frieza-sama, that analogy is disturbingly apt.
"I figure if those planet-sized Dragon Balls can grant any wish, then the baby Dragon Balls probably have limits on what they can do." Frieza mused. "But it doesn't matter. I'll go take a look. They should still be enough to grant my wish."
"What kind of wish does Frieza-sama want?" Berryblue asked.
"Eternal life." Frieza answered with a pleasant smile.
Berryblue nodded slowly, eyes gleaming with excitement.
"I suspect that wish might be impossible." Frieza shook his head again. "But getting a regenerative ability like Majin Buu's shouldn't be too hard."
"They said the Dragon Balls were made by Namekians, right? Back then, Ken used the Namekian Dragon Balls to gain the ability to survive in space." Berryblue said thoughtfully.
"How long would it take to reach Planet Namek from here?" Frieza asked.
The subordinate immediately went to investigate.
The result came back quickly.
"It's not that far. We can reach it in just twenty days." he reported.
"Get ready. We're heading to Planet Namek." Frieza ordered.
…
Universe 6, Planet Sadala.
Several technicians were busy studying Raditz's scouter.
"Is that guy really a Saiyan?"
"The writing and symbols here are very similar to our Saiyan language."
"This device seems to be able to detect our energy level and display it as numbers."
The level of technology on Planet Sadala wasn't bad. Before long, they had already carried out a detailed analysis of the scouter.
Just as the technicians were preparing to dig deeper into the device…
"Hey, Raditz, are you still alive?"
All of a sudden, a voice came from the scouter.
