To myself,
Today was the happiest day of my life, after everything that had happened in my life, making my existence unreasonable, this day just made my belief in fate, stronger than ever.
My brother Kalix who had started a chain of his own companies a couple of years ago, had launched a new company, M.P or Miller Productions, and today was it's Grand opening ceremony and fortunately my brother took me as his partner.
I wasn't fond of parties, ceremonies or anything where we had to be fake, laughing and enjoying with people you hate, but going to that event became the very reason that brought me close to the very person, the one whose face was enough to tell me, that he was the one, whose words were enough to tell me, that happiness would only mean everything when it's me with him.
That very man is no one other than Cassian Valor, my brother's best friend and his new company's biggest shareholder.
Everything about him was worth melting for, his face, his height, his body, his voice and by everything i mean EVERY, SINGLE, THING!
I hope one day he will look at me like I look at him, he comes to love me like I love him.

I smiled as i finished reading her first diary entry.
And then one after another, as she explained how she began looking for him in everything, how her world came to be him, just him.
The way she quietly admired him, his actions, his personality, doing everything secretly. It was, a beautiful secret, she had tied it securely to her heart, no one knew but her... just her.
i kept reading all the other entries, one after another, as her one sided love grew stronger.
I was on the 20th diary entry of hers, which was dated on 02/01/25, when she once again attended an event with her brother, but this time that man, her ideal, had not came alone, he brought someone.
Not his assistant, but a beautiful woman by his side, Laurel didn't know her, not even a little. For her she was just a random girl, who looked pretty, why? because she stood next to the most good looking man on the planet.
Rage filled Laurel's mind, and the only thing she could think about was, walking up to them and yanking that girl by her hair away from HER man, till she is nothing but a bald woman.
She began striding towards them when she felt a warm, soft, and muscular hand gripping her arm, she turned around ready to slap that man across his cheeks, but she froze as soon as she turned around.
It was Kalix, her own brother who had stopped her and pulled her close, whispering in her ear softly
"Shh...calm down, don't make any scene, she is just his cousin who he brought along, not his lover, don't create any kind of trouble".
My eyes widened as i kept reading the sentence again and again...the one underlined many times...the sentence which was said to Laurel by Kalix... Wait...why didn't i think of it before...he asked me that question but my stupid self was busy crying over how caring he was to me and missed the most important point.
The words Kalix had said to Laurel at the ceremony, were written clear and bold, making it quite clear for anyone reading that, He knew it, he knew what Laurel felt for his one and only best friend.
Kalix had known about Laurel's feelings towards his best friend, but he had been quiet the whole time,
i flipped the page ....that was it, the diary entry for that day ended...
what? what was this? what in the world is this?Kalix never knew, he never knew until the very end, when Laurel gets divorced by Cassian.
But now Kalix had known about Laurel's feelings, way before she herself got to tell him about it, none of this happened in the novel, this wasn't how the plot was supposed to take place.
And what cousin? Cassian didn't have any family, he was–an orphan, abandoned by his family, and later on, When Cassian gains power he finds out about how his family was murdered, soon after he was given up for adoption.
what was happening...why did it happen?... everything was going differently than it was supposed to go in the actual novel. Why was this happening?
Katherine wasn't the biological mother of Kalix and Laurel, Logan was not being the supportive father he was shown as in the novel, the Millers were totally different, than they were described as, in the original plot.
Cassian had a family, which was never shown in the real novel, a cousin? that was ... totally out of the book, his father and mother both were the only kids of his grandparents.
Franklin was the only one going along with the plot....just him...or maybe, something wrong was happening, I just haven't catch up on it...
I could just hope and pray, that my end, wouldn't be similar, to the real Laurel Miller
I could just hope...
I was fully confused, my mind filled with questions... millions of questions roaming around it...After everything that had happened, i concluded one thing, that this world is not following the original plot,
Cassian's parents were both the only children in their own families, later on when they got married, they only had Cassian, and know this cousin, what was this?.
And, Kalix also knew about Laurel's one sided love, and that was the reason he asked me such question.
I smacked my forehead, stupid brain, stupid brain! Only if i had catched up on it before.
I yawned getting tired of reading after a hectic of full on brain puzzles, switching off the lamps i hid the journal underneath my pillow, in case that intruder decides to grace us with their presence, while I'm out asleep.
The next morning i woke up fully refreshed... And got ready to go down for breakfast.
As i could hear shouting while standing on the stairs.
