Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Roger’s Three Types of Haki

Even after fusing with the Third Raikage and receiving a massive upgrade in both strength and temperament, Shiranami Hakusei couldn't help but cry out when he heard the words, Roger's Three Types of Haki.

"This freaking system is too overpowered!"

With the strength he now possessed, he could already sweep through anything in his way long before even entering the New World. But now, with the addition of all three types of Haki, it was a complete transformation, a leap in power!

If he were to fight Magellan again now, it'd be a one-sided massacre!

"Fuse! Fuse it now, hurry!"

Ding!

As soon as the system finished speaking, Shiranami's body reacted. His mind was instantly flooded with countless memories, detailed techniques for using all three forms of Haki, directly from Gol D. Roger himself.

But he paid no attention to the system anymore.

He was already fully immersed in the torrent of Haki knowledge pouring into his consciousness.

BOOM!

He gave a simple test, releasing a wave of Conqueror's Haki.

In an instant, overwhelming pressure spread across all of Level 6!

Even the ferocious pirates imprisoned here were sent into a daze, their faces filled with shock and horror.

With another thought, he activated Armament Haki. Waves of dark energy swirled around his entire body, turning every inch of his skin pitch-black and metallic, he looked like a walking iron fortress.

Shiranami was overjoyed. He waved his arms through the air, laughing as he felt the solid, dominating weight of Armament Haki coating his limbs. He could already imagine himself ruling the seas with absolute might.

"Even Logia users can't do a thing to me now!" he said with full confidence, clenching his fists.

"That pressure just now… what level of Conqueror's Haki was that? How can it be so terrifying?" muttered the infamous pirate known as the Evil Governor King, unable to believe what he'd sensed.

"Not just the Conqueror's Haki," Baddie, the colossal pirate Bundy Wald, added with narrowed eyes. "Look at that black shine… the level of his Armament Haki is insane."

"Keh keh keh keh… hey, boy over there! Not bad at all. Come let me out, and I'll give you a chance, become my little plaything!" called out Catarina Devon with a twisted grin.

…Huh?

Still riding the high from his new powers, Shiranami was momentarily stunned. His thoughts were rudely interrupted. He frowned and turned toward the voice.

The moment he saw who spoke, his stomach churned. He nearly vomited on the spot.

"Ugh, seriously? Don't gross me out, you hag!"

"What did you just say?" Devon's face darkened instantly, her eyes filled with venom.

"I said you're a hideous toad drooling after a swan. Are you deaf now too?"

"You… I'll kill you!"

"Come on then. I'm standing right here. Try it. I won't even blink," Shiranami said mockingly, beckoning her with a smirk.

"You little, !"

Catarina Devon, once a renowned powerhouse, nearly fainted from fury after being humiliated like that by a nameless brat.

"Wahaha! This kid's got guts, I like him!" Bundy Wald burst into laughter.

Shiranami actually knew a bit about Wald. He became a pirate only to protect his brother, and despite his brutal power, he was a righteous man at heart. Before being captured, he had a bounty of 500 million Berries.

During his way down to Level 6, Shiranami had already thought this through.

He wasn't interested in any of Blackbeard's chosen lackeys. But Wald, the Red Count, and Crocodile, those three were the ones he wanted to recruit.

Unfortunately, the Golden Lion had already escaped. Otherwise, he would've made a great ally as well.

There was no time to waste. Shiranami walked straight to Wald's cell and spoke seriously.

"If you're willing to follow me and become my crewmate, I'll break you out right now."

…Huh?

Wald's laughter stopped abruptly. He raised his chin, face full of pride.

"Kid, sailing the seas isn't some game. You might have Conqueror's Haki, but out in the Grand Line, there are plenty of guys who do. I suggest you crawl back into your little cell. When Magellan shows up again, you're going to be in for it."

"He won't be coming for a while. I already knocked him out," Shiranami replied casually.

Wald's pupils shrank.

Even the powerful figures in the corner of the level, those who hadn't reacted to anything this whole time, opened their eyes slightly and turned their gazes toward Shiranami.

For a brief moment, Wald was stunned. Then he burst into laughter again.

"Hahaha! Kid, if you were bluffing like this on Level 5, maybe you could impress someone. But down here? You're wasting your breath."

"…What are you doing?" Wald's voice trailed off, stunned, as he saw Shiranami silently walking toward him.

Raising his left hand, Shiranami let it turn pitch-black with Armament Haki. Lightning coiled around his entire arm as he stood before the cell door.

Without a word, he punched forward.

BOOM!

With a thunderous blast, the cell door, made of the world's hardest Sea Prism Stone, was shattered to pieces.

…What!?

All the powerful pirates present immediately did a full 180 in their perception of Shiranami Hakusei.

Their eyes held no surprise, no fear, only endless hope.

They finally believed him.

He absolutely had the power.

If he set his sights on someone, that person might really have a chance at rebirth.

"Hey, kid! Let me out! I'll be your loyal follower!"

"Just release me and I'll back you to become the Pirate King!"

"Kid! I once fought against a Yonko and lived to tell the tale!"

"Hey! Kid, !"

The mob of villains began shouting over each other, offering sweet words and promises. But Shiranami remained unmoved.

He wasn't so easily swayed.

He knew these people couldn't be trusted. Their mouths might speak of loyalty, but the moment they were free, they could stab him in the back.

He wasn't afraid of betrayal, but he didn't want to waste unnecessary energy on it either.

The world was a vast, brilliant stage waiting for him to perform. He was no longer the weak, invisible nobody he used to be.

Now, wherever he went, whether it be important events, key players, or legendary battles, he would be the main character!

His stage had finally arrived, and he wasn't about to let it slip away.

So he ignored the rest of them completely.

Meanwhile, Wald swallowed hard, his expression full of hesitation.

Did he want freedom? Of course he did.

But he wasn't someone who would bow to another so easily. And once he gave his word, he was a man who kept it.

Shiranami noticed the struggle in his eyes and smiled rather than frown.

He knew Wald was someone who valued his word. A man who hesitated because he understood the weight of commitment, that was exactly the kind of ally Shiranami wanted.

He stepped forward, stood before Wald, and with a single sweep of his hand, shattered the Sea Prism Stone shackles locking Wald's limbs.

The power of lightning made slicing through hard materials feel effortless.

Wald lifted his freed hands in shock, barely able to process that he was truly unchained. But before he could savor the moment,

Shiranami's calm voice rang out.

"Let's fight. If you win, you walk out of here free. If you lose, you join my crew."
