Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

Lucy had transferred all the kindness she had once shown him to another person.

During the five years in the deep mountains, she was like a sun, the only light in his dark life.

She always stayed behind him and provided the most powerful support when he needed it the most.

Lucy's first injury was when she blocked a knife for him.

Looking at her blood - soaked back at that time, his eyes turned red with distress.

But she smiled and comforted him, "It's okay. It's just a few stitches."

Later, as they went on more and more missions, getting injured and bleeding became an everyday occurrence.

Eisner no longer noticed her efforts. He just took Lucy's kindness for granted. He never thought that one day, she would take it all back and pour it onto another person.

Eisner suddenly realized that he had made a huge mistake, a terribly wrong one.

He had drunk quite a lot of wine that night.

When the driver asked him if he wanted to go home, Eisner was at a loss.

Home? Where was his home?

In the deep mountains, the small bedroom in the werewolf clan base was his and Lucy's home.

She would always wait for him, no matter how late it was and no matter how tired she was.

Now that Lucy didn't want him anymore, where could he go? Where was his home?

He was like a trapped and abandoned beast.

She didn't want him anymore, and he didn't know what to do.

When the driver didn't get an answer from Eisner, he simply drove the car back to the werewolf clan villa.

By the time Eisner returned to his room, he could hardly stand steadily and fell directly onto his bed.

He closed his eyes and murmured Lucy's name.

Then he was helped up by a pair of hands, and warm honey water was poured down his throat, relieving his dryness.

Eisner opened his eyes. In a daze, he seemed to see Lucy.

Without a moment's hesitation, he immediately hugged her waist.

"Lucy, don't leave."

He looked up to find her lips, kissed her, and whispered to her as he did so.

"Lucy, I knew you couldn't bear to leave me. Please don't go. I know I was wrong."

The familiar heat in Eisner's body was awakened. He couldn't wait to start taking off her clothes.

He underestimated how much he missed Lucy.

He kissed her again and again, and guided her hand to touch his body.

The heat and desire in his body were urging him to take the next step, but Eisner suddenly felt something was wrong.

The person under him had Lucy's face, but her body wasn't the one he was familiar with. There was no "rose flower" on her chest.

Her muscles were not as delicate as Lucy's, and her lower body didn't feel like Lucy's either.

All these signs told him that this person wasn't Lucy.

Eisner felt as if a bucket of ice - cold water had been poured over his head.

His mind cleared instantly. He forcefully pulled away, pushed the person entangled with him away, and accidentally hit the wall because of the excessive force.

"Eisner, are you okay?"

The heat in Eisner's body was out of control. He took out his Swiss army knife and stabbed it hard into his thigh. The pain and the blood sobered him up.

He finally saw clearly that the person in front of him was Isabella.

Eisner's face was grim. "Why are you here? What did you just give me to drink?"

Isabella didn't have time to hide the shock on her face.

She looked at Eisner in disbelief. In her previous life, it was also a glass of spiked honey water that led to their first time together. After that, Eisner became more and more indulgent towards her. Why wasn't it successful this time?

Isabella's subtle facial expressions didn't escape Eisner's notice.

That strange and eerie feeling came over him again. Eisner looked at Isabella with a dark face and asked again.

"Why are you here?"
