Chapter 24 - 24

Although Matt was rescued, he was still not out of danger and was under observation in the intensive care unit.

Schiller said to Dr. Stephen Strange, "Dr. Stephen Strange, consider this a favor I owe you. If you ever need help in the future, you can come find me."

Dr. Stephen Strange's expression was not good. After all, he had been snatched and forced to perform surgery for almost ten hours since the afternoon. He said very impatiently, "God save me, may I never see you again, you weirdo."

Schiller said, "I believe you've already witnessed my abilities. So, I'll give you one more piece of advice: be careful when you're driving."

Dr. Stephen Strange said, "Don't play these Strange tricks with me. I'm going back to sleep."

After saying that, he left. Schiller shrugged. He knew it was impossible to change Doctor Strange's fate. In Strange's current state, he wouldn't listen to anything.

But it didn't matter. When the time came for him to beg and plead to heal his arm, he would naturally think of Schiller.

After a good night's sleep back at the clinic, Schiller woke up to find that he had two more random chat opportunities, indicating that he had significantly influenced two important characters in the plot. One should be Nightcrawler Matt, and the other Spider-Man.

Schiller decided to use one first. It seemed his abilities indeed needed urgent strengthening. Witnessing Nightcrawler Matt's accident, he felt his defense and evasion abilities were still not strong enough, especially his reaction speed. Even if he could teleport, in a mere fraction of a second, no one could guarantee they would react in time. Relying on the inconsistent Spider-Sense wouldn't do.

So Schiller opened the chat system and used a random chat opportunity.

Soon, his chat partner arrived, but strangely, this avatar was a bit odd. The avatar frame was pitch black, with only two eyes sparkling.

As soon as the communication connected, Schiller heard a string of words he couldn't understand from the other side.

Previously, all his chat partners spoke English, even Ancient One communicated directly with him via brainwaves, and the meaning was easy to understand.

But this time, he encountered a chat partner who was mumbling, and Schiller couldn't understand a single word.

He tapped the system and said, "Can't the chat system translate? What language is the other side speaking?"

Because of Schiller's past experiences, he had visited, toured, and exchanged ideas at various universities. Besides English and Chinese, he knew a little of some European languages, but the other party's language seemed to be none of these. Schiller had never heard such a language.

The system gave a reply: "The chat system will automatically translate any language of the chat partner. If there is still content that cannot be understood, it indicates a difference in life form between the host and the other party, or understanding the other party's language requires a special brain organ."

Schiller then understood. The other party was definitely not human. The long string of unknown sounds he was making might require a specific brain organ to receive. It wasn't a language; it was more like a signal. Schiller was a human and probably didn't have this kind of brain organ of their species, so he naturally couldn't understand what he was saying.

Schiller clicked on the avatar and saw that it clearly stated a few words—God of Symbiotes Knull.

He didn't expect this random connection to connect to Knull.

The God of Symbiotes is described in great detail in the comics related to the Venom series. Simply put, he is an ancient being that has existed since the birth of the Universe, the Lord of the Abyss. He forged a weapon called All-Black the Necrosword, chopped off a Celestial's head, and then began to wreak havoc on other civilizations in the Universe.

He developed a method of creating dark creatures, which is to split Symbiotes. He rampaged through the Universe with his Symbiote army and his created dragon legion.

Until one day, he ordered the Symbiote army to attack Earth, and then he was struck senseless by a lightning bolt from Thor, losing connection with most of the Symbiotes he created.

Most of the Symbiotes scattered throughout the Universe, possessing various different life forms, many of whom were kind and rational aliens. This made the Symbiotes realize that their creator's behavior of destroying civilizations was evil, so they collectively rebelled.

After the rebellion, the Symbiotes imprisoned their creator, the God of Symbiotes Knull, on a remote, desolate Planet, which is the so-called Symbiote homeworld.

Schiller didn't rush to use the next chat opportunity immediately. Instead, he enthusiastically began to study what Knull was saying.

Since the connection began, Knull had been rambling on, with incomprehensible syllables being rapidly transmitted.

The setting here was more reasonable; it wasn't like the comics where everyone in the Universe spoke English. Schiller couldn't understand a single word the God of Symbiotes was saying, but since the God of Symbiotes kept rambling, Schiller actually managed to figure out some patterns.

After repeated confirmation by Schiller, he finally understood what the God of Symbiotes was trying to express—he was cursing.

That's right, although not everyone in the Universe speaks English, the tone of all creatures in the Universe when they curse is basically the same, and certain swear words appear with high frequency. The God of Symbiotes was like this.

Schiller heard a syllable, "nataru," repeatedly in the God of Symbiotes' angry tone. He guessed that this should be a swear word in the Symbiote language, similar to the F-word.

So, when the God of Symbiotes finished another long string of curses, he casually said, "nataru."

The other side fell into an eerie silence.

The God of Symbiotes had been cursing for so many years, and this was the first time he had been cursed back.

Schiller guessed very accurately; that word was indeed a swear word in the God of Symbiotes' language. The God of Symbiotes retaliated with an even angrier string of words, but Schiller still only casually replied, "nataru."

After hearing it many times, Schiller also learned a few other curse words, even mimicking the tongue rolls and pronunciations perfectly.

The God of Symbiotes continuously sent long rants, and Schiller would often pick a few of these words to curse back.

Anyway, the God of Symbiotes couldn't come through the internet cable to hit him. What if he was the Lord of the Abyss? What if he killed a Celestial?

While cursing back and forth with the God of Symbiotes, he recalled the origin story of this ancient being.

The God of Symbiotes was quite unlucky. Regardless of good or bad, the remnants he himself dropped rebelled and imprisoned him, keeping their creator isolated on a Planet. And from the current situation, it seemed he had been imprisoned for a very long time.

Actually, it's not hard to understand why he was cursing. If it were Schiller, Schiller would curse too.

Then Schiller began to research how to replicate the God of Symbiotes' ability, but he was a bit hesitant. He estimated that the God of Symbiotes' ability was to create Symbiotes, but Schiller didn't want that ability.

He clicked on the avatar and found that the four characters for "Replicate Ability" had turned red, with a parenthesis next to them that read: "Opponent's ability is mutating, please replicate with caution."

This was the first time Schiller had encountered such a phenomenon.

This goes back to the origin story of the God of Symbiotes.

After being imprisoned, the God of Symbiotes wasn't just going to give up. Of course, he would try to escape by any means necessary. Schiller's timing was perfect; not long after the God of Symbiotes figured out this method, Schiller connected with him.

The God of Symbiotes is a very ancient creature. Although it cannot be confirmed whether he was the first creature in the Seventh Universe, he was certainly among the first few.

His power came more from his innate talent. His brain wasn't actually very good. The way he thought of escaping wasn't through wisdom, but also by utilizing his special nature. Schiller hadn't read much of this part of the comic in his previous life, but he knew that the Symbiote God's created offspring had different abilities, some very strong, some very weak.

There were also some Symbiote offspring with special abilities, and the God of Symbiotes planned to use this characteristic. He intended to create a special Symbiote, one without a physical body, but rather a conscious mist. When he transferred his consciousness into this offspring's body, he could escape the shackles of the planetary prison.

Honestly, this wasn't a very clever method, and it might not even allow him to leave there, but the God of Symbiotes was imprisoned on a lonely Planet. What else could he do but find something to pass the time? So his daily routine consisted of only two things—cursing and spawning.

Just as he created this new offspring and was preparing to transfer his consciousness, Schiller connected with him. That's why the God of Symbiotes' ability was mutating, because he was transferring his consciousness into the new body, and the ability was transforming into the new body's ability.

Generally speaking, if the connection object was like the God of Symbiotes, like Little Spider before he was bitten, Schiller would be almost unable to replicate his ability. The God of Symbiotes originally fought in the Universe using the powerful living abyss Necrosword. Later, his ability to split dark creatures also came from his inherent nature; it was an ability that suddenly appeared after his defeat and fall, with no other source.

These things were all impossible for Schiller to replicate, and even if he could, he wouldn't. Why would he cut himself into pieces? And what's worse, these fragments he split off might even band together and betray him, which was simply too unreliable.

So Schiller unhesitatingly chose to replicate the ability that was currently mutating. If this ability was related to invisibility or damage evasion, then Schiller would have hit the jackpot. Even if it was like Venom, capable of powerful strength or transforming into something like an armor, it would still be good.

"Symbiote Gray Mist (Special Ability) loaded."

Schiller instantly felt that he suddenly possessed another vision. He was still using his eyes, but it wasn't him personally using them. The signals received from the eyes were still transmitted to his brain.

It was as if he had directly replicated a Symbiote.

No, it seemed a bit different. The ability replicated by the system would not bring any external objects to Schiller, nor could it replicate the opponent's equipment or other physical objects.

For example, if Schiller replicated Iron Man's ability, he might gain Stark's genius brain or his ability to develop equipment, but he wouldn't get a finished mech like Mark 5.

The system could only replicate the chat partner's own ability, not anything external to them.

Schiller felt as if a nascent soul had been inserted into his body. But it wasn't an external object; it was still himself. The Symbiote didn't become something that could detach from the host at any time like Venom, but rather became a part of Schiller.

Simply put, it became an ability loaded by the system for Schiller, becoming a part of Schiller. Like other abilities Schiller obtained from the system, it could not detach from Schiller. If Schiller died, it would also perish and could not escape, much less have a second host.

But it also possessed some characteristics of a Symbiote, for example, it could think. Schiller could feel that a region in his brain seemed to have been altered. The Symbiote became an organ of his brain. Their communication was more like a dialogue between one personality and another.

This Symbiote was indeed very special. Schiller would later understand that the God of Symbiotes had incorporated even more ambition when creating it.

And after being replicated by the system, the system made further modifications to the Symbiote in order to merge the Symbiote's characteristics with the system's ability-loading characteristics. This resulted in it becoming perhaps a unique life form in the entire Universe, and also an incredibly powerful life form.
