Chapter 55 - Chapter 55 - Luna Blackmails Too Much

"Haah... Haah..." He lay on his back, chest still rising with the remnants of heat and exhaustion, staring at the ceiling as her quiet breathing filled the room while she laid on his chest.

Her whole body had as if been imprinted on him, telling him that she was delicate and fragile, but her presence was also making him want to love her deeply.

'She gave me her everything... but I—!' He was just thinking before he suddenly felt his shaft, which was limp and already numb, due to love and the craving to make her feel loved.

He had pushed his limits many times, resting within her now only for him to suddenly feel a jolt due to her inner walls clenching.

"Luna, Y-you... stop doing that." He felt his mouth twitch. Given that he was here, completely exhausted, thinking something, and this woman was being bold again.

'Is every woman this bold with their mates?'

The only thought that came to him, feeling her resting on him, was that maybe this was some kind of typical woman behavior, especially given he felt confused about exactly what she was thinking right now.

But at least he was confirmed that they both craved each other, and that was already more than enough to shatter all his curiosity.

In the silence, strange thoughts stirred in his mind.

She had never really asked him for anything. Not truly.

Never demanded some tangible proof of his worth in her life.

It was an odd realization.

As a man, his instinct also leaned towards giving the woman he loved something she could see, something he could win for her — something conquered and proof that it was hers given by her man.

Even though he knew she loved him in a way that needed no proof, the masculine fire inside him still craved that act of offering.

Something undeniable. Something that said: She wanted me enough to ask, and I brought it to her feet.

"What?" Luna's voice just made him determined to utter it, but knowing how bold she was, he wrapped her in a sheet so she couldn't move anything except her lips.

And then he asked her.

But she just made him again be pulled in her before composing himself he again asked — desperate as a man to know what he could give her that made him feel like she wanted something only he can give her.

"Please. Don't you want something from me? Ask anything. Anything in this world. If it's within my power… I'll do everything to get it."

'!'

She smirked instead, the softness faded and was replaced by a strange expression in her body language as if he felt that she was just waiting for this moment and he, being a predator, fell directly into that trap.

There was a seriousness there — a certain calm weight that tightened something in his chest.

And against the dull numbness in his body, he felt his pulse stir.

This was it.

'Finally.' For Javrian, his pride as a man instantly overwhelmed his whole self. The will that had been dissolved by that softness of the one beneath him burned, waiting for her to ask him anything.

Even if it meant to burn down everything... he just wanted to give her something.

And the fire within him told that she was going to tell him, finally, what she truly wanted.

It lit a dangerous pride in him, a mingling of love and that primal male need to rise to any challenge she set.

On her demand — like she always did knowing how he was helpless whenever she blackmailed him on bargains, he entered her again without caring for his own fatigue and painful numbness, because at that moment, all his focus, all his will, was turned toward her — toward claiming her, toward making her know she was his woman and could get what she wants.

And then she spoke.

Her voice was clear, her eyes unwavering as she gave her answer.

"Javrian… I want you to kill Emperor Wenhan and eradicate his entire bloodline."

'!'

His jaw clenched, canines visible, eyes shining like a beast he was but just fueled with more fire.

His lips curled into a slow, grim smile. What she asked was… insane, impossible by ordinary measure... but doesn't it make it exclusive to him?

'Haha... really a demand worthy of you, my Luna.'

He swiftly tried to stand but couldn't hastily because of his lower region still within, so it took time and a realization as he realized what exactly happened here the moment he saw a sharp glare from Luna.

"I knew you beast will do something like this... So, where are you going?" Luna, knowing how he wrapped her in a sheet to tie her hands, had initially made him enter her again as she wrapped her legs too, aware this man was going to run the moment she told him her wish.

A strategy she used to tie this man who thought he was smart to wrap her like some doll.

"....To kill the emperor," he said simply, averting his face sideways as though it were the most practical solution in the world. "You asked me for something. I will give it to you."

Her leg that was free, given he was stuck between her legs, kicked his butt, sharp and furious. "Are you insane? You think you can just walk in, kill the emperor, and then what—die there!? You sticky wolf!"

He looked at her as though she were the one missing the point. "I'll come back alive. I promise. You don't have to worry. I will kill that man."

She stared at him blankly for a heartbeat, then her voice dropped with cold clarity. "And then what? Become the enemy of the empire?"

He stilled.

She had struck at the reality he'd brushed aside. He was feared enough already among the nobles — his strength, his wild dominion over the lands, his refusal to bow easily.

They didn't dare move openly against him, not yet.

But if he killed the emperor outright, he'd give them the excuse to brand him an enemy of the crown.

And then—no matter his strength—it would be war.

And a war is fought between armies, not a man and an army.

He met her eyes. "But you…" he started, not sure how to finish that thought; yet head tilted looking in her eyes, his eyes softening as if wanting to tell her and he did, "You asked me for something for the first time without blackmailing me..."

'....' Luna's lips pouted remembering indeed when she demanded him to kill Victor and Livina it was when he asked her name, then the same for other times except this one.

'Haah, Javrian... never show this side to anyone but me.' Her small hands framed his face suddenly, drawing him toward her until her breath touched his skin and that softness this man showed to her.

His body, trained to respond to the call of the battlefield, stilled at the quiet authority in her eyes.

He realized then—this strangeness of softness, her presence and her eyes looking in his—were something he could never let anyone else see.

And for Luna, he was powerful. But blind in the language of emotions.

She, however, was not.

"Let's rephrase my demand," she said softly, but her tone was steel. "I want you to make me the Empress. And you will follow everything I say."

'!'
