A colossal boom rumbled up from beneath the ice-spike jungle, as if a bomb had detonated under the frozen layer!
Centered on where Saitama stood, an indescribably terrifying shockwave exploded outward in a perfect sphere, surging violently in every direction. Wherever the shockwave passed, those insanely hard, magic-infused ice spikes shattered like glass tossed into an industrial grinder—cracking from the base upward, breaking apart inch by inch! Not snapped or broken… but vibrated into the finest possible ice-crystal powder!
Almost at the same time, the entire ice-spike jungle was completely pulverized by that shockwave born of pure physical force, smashed flat into nothing! Ice powder filled the sky, forming a brief, glittering mist wall under the sunlight. The scene was strangely beautiful in an eerie way.
As the ice dust slowly drifted down, it revealed Saitama standing calmly at the center with both hands in his pockets. (At some point, he'd placed his shopping bag off in a safe corner.) The ground beneath his feet was perfectly intact, but the area around him had sunk half a meter, forming a flawless circular impact crater.
"What…?!" The giant leader's eyes practically bulged out of his head. One of his strongest spells… had been dismantled like this… forcibly torn apart? It completely shattered his understanding of what "strength" even meant!
Thor was also left dumbfounded again. He'd guessed Saitama would probably be fine, but he hadn't expected him to break the formation in such a domineering, unreasonable way.
Saitama rolled his neck, producing a soft crack. He looked at the giant leader—whose aura was unstable and stance shaky from the backlash of having his magic broken—and said evenly, "Done playing? If you're done, then it's my turn."
Before the words even finished, Saitama's figure blurred.
The next instant, he was already in front of the giant leader like a ghost—so fast the giant leader didn't have time to react at all!
The giant leader only saw a red fist rapidly expanding in his vision. Instinctively, he tried to condense an ice armor for defense, but the magical backlash from earlier made him a beat too slow.
Saitama's fist simple and direct stamped onto the giant leader's head, which was coated in thick frost and harder than steel.
THUMP!
No violent explosion. Only a dull sound, like a ripe watermelon being smashed.
The giant leader's enormous frozen head vanished in an instant! Not shattered… but launched clean off by that irresistible force, torn from the neck and sent flying like a boulder hurled from a catapult. It traced a long arc into the distance, disappearing to who-knew-where.
The headless massive body stood stiffly for a moment. The severed neck was sealed by a thin layer of ice—no blood sprayed out. Then it toppled over with a thunderous crash, kicking up a burst of ice chips.
The remaining Frost Giants saw their leader get instantly killed and were scared out of their minds. What fight was there to be had? They screamed and scrambled, crawling and tumbling as they tried to flee back into the space rift.
Only then did Thor react. He roared, "...Don't think you can run!" He swung Mjolnir and summoned lightning, blasting the fleeing Frost Giants into pieces.
Up in the sky, the space rift began to flicker unstably, then slowly shrank… and disappeared. The crisis was over.
Thor walked over to Saitama, looked at the headless giant corpse on the ground, then back at Saitama. He opened his mouth, but for a moment didn't know what to say. In the end, he patted Saitama on the shoulder and sighed sincerely, "...Brother, next time something like this shows up, I'll just call you. Saves me from wasting my effort."
