Chapter 796 - Chapter 796

He figured he'd go take a look, and while he was at it, make the guy who caused all this freezing clean up the ice. He stepped onto the ice, yet walked unusually steadily, as if the slick surface meant nothing to him.

Just then, an ordinary Frost Giant noticed the bald human strolling over so casually. Thinking he was in the way, it roared and raised the ice axe in its hands, chopping straight down at Saitama's head! The axe carried a bone-piercing gale, enough to split a car clean in two!

In the midst of the fierce battle, Thor caught sight of it and shouted in alarm, "Watch out! Mortal!"

It was as if Saitama only noticed the attack now. He lifted his head, looked at the descending ice axe, and showed not the slightest panic if anything, he looked a little annoyed, like, "You're blocking my way." He didn't dodge. He simply raised his right fist and casually swung upward into the massive ice axe.

Fist and axe, an absurd difference in size, a striking contrast.

Before Thor, the giant leader, and the other Frost Giants' disbelieving eyes, Saitama's seemingly ordinary fist collided with that ice-cold battle axe infused with a Frost Giant's power.

CRACKCRACKCRACK!

No stalemate. No violent energy explosion. The instant they made contact, the ice axe was like glass struck by a hammer—starting from the point of impact with his fist, fractures exploded outward in an instant, spreading across the entire blade and shaft! The next moment, the axe completely burst apart into a sky of glittering ice powder, flashing with dazzling, fleeting light under the sun.

And it didn't end there. The force that shattered the axe didn't disperse—it traveled straight down the handle, surging into the Frost Giant's arm in a heartbeat.

SPLRT… CRACK!

From the palm onward, bone, muscle, and skin were crushed segment by segment, as if an invisible titan had ground it apart. In an instant, the entire arm became a twisted mess of ruined flesh, barely held together by strips of skin! The giant let out a shriek of agony, its massive body blown backward by the impact, slamming hard into the frozen fountain. The ice sculpture exploded into pieces, and the giant collapsed unconscious.

A moment of silence fell over the entire battlefield.

Thor's eyes went wide—he even forgot to swing his hammer. He knew Saitama was strong, but every time he witnessed this kind of violence taken to its purest extreme, he still felt deeply shaken… That Frost Giant might not have been top-tier, but it was still a warrior of Jotunheim, its strength and frost magic far beyond anything a normal human could withstand. Yet in front of Saitama, it was as fragile as an ice statue.

The giant leader also halted its attack, its blue face filled with uncertainty and suspicion. It stared hard at Saitama—this seemingly ordinary bald human had no energy fluctuations at all, yet possessed such utterly unbelievable strength.

Saitama shook his hand, like it had gotten a bit of ice grit on it. He looked at the giant leader, then at the shivering civilians around them and the wrecked streets—especially the slippery ice coating the ground, which clearly displeased him.

Pointing at the ice under his feet, he said to the giant leader, "Hey, big guy. You're the one who made this ice, right? Hurry up and get rid of it. It's in the way—people can slip."

His tone was flat, like he was complaining that a neighbor hadn't taken out their trash.

The giant leader snapped out of its shock—then was enraged by that dismissive attitude. It released a low roar, and the surrounding cold grew even more biting. "Insignificant human! How dare you… I'll freeze you into an eternal ice statue!"
