Chapter 791 - Chapter 791

The instant Saitama barged in, the elite guard bugs protecting the Golden Queen immediately went on maximum alert.

They were nothing like the cannon fodder outside—faster, sharper, and their coordination even carried a faint sense of method. Several of them spread their scythe-like forelimbs at once, clacking out a "ka-da ka-da" threat as they charged head-on, while a few others moved in absolute silence along the walls and ceiling, trying to ambush from the sides and rear.

Saitama merely watched them come at him, expression flat.

The first guard bug swung its scythe forelimb straight down at his head. Saitama tilted slightly, the dodge so small it was measured in millimeters. The blade passed so close it nearly brushed the tip of his nose.

At the same time, he casually lifted his right hand, curled his index finger, and gave a light flick.

Pa!

It sounded like he'd just flicked away a fly.

But that elite guard bug's rock-hard head exploded on the spot. Its headless body, driven by inertia, still staggered forward a few steps before collapsing.

Next came the side attack.

Another guard bug used the wall to rebound like a ricocheting projectile, rocketing toward Saitama's ribs. Saitama didn't even turn his head. His left arm swung back lazily, and his elbow struck with perfect precision at the joint where the bug's chest and abdomen armor connected.

Kacha!

The shell shattered. The bug folded at a grotesque angle and slammed into a pile of cargo in the distance.

The ceiling ambusher seized the moment, dropping like a shadow, its mouthparts stabbing straight for the top of Saitama's skull.

Saitama simply blew upward.

"Huu"

That breath hit like a high-pressure air gun. The bug shot backward at several times its diving speed embedding into the concrete ceiling. Its limbs twitched a few times, then went still.

In the space of a few breaths, several of the most elite guard bugs were dealt with.

The Golden Queen seemed to finally realize just how terrifying this bald human was. Its high-frequency screeching turned even sharper and more frantic, loaded with warning and… a faint trace of fear?

Its bloated abdomen abruptly contracted. Its mouthparts opened—but instead of spewing acid or launching a physical strike, it blasted out a massive surge of thick liquid, transparent yet threaded with golden strands.

The moment it met the air, the liquid rapidly expanded and interwove, forming an enormous cocoon-like web that blanketed down over Saitama, covering him from head to toe.

Saitama watched the giant net with mild curiosity, not bothering to dodge right away.

In the next instant, the cocoon wrapped him tight. The sticky silk had extreme toughness and adhesion, and it quickly shrank and hardened, trying to strangle him inside. Saitama tested his arms—an ear-grating, stretched-tight creak rang out from the cocoon, but it didn't snap immediately.

"Eh? Pretty sturdy."

Just then, a boom tore through the warehouse roof, and Iron Man blasted in.

"Saitama! Watch out for its silk!" Tony shouted. At the same time, shoulder-mounted mini-missiles fired, precisely blowing apart a few guard bugs that tried to rush in and take advantage of Saitama being bound. He raised a hand, palm repulsor flaring—one high-energy beam sliced into the cocoon.

The scorching laser cleanly burned through and melted the outermost silk strands.

Tony let out a breath. "Alright, this thing can't—" His words cut off mid-sentence.

Because when the outer cocoon was burned away, what was revealed wasn't Saitama's body at all—

It was a smooth, hard, metallic-looking shell, gleaming with a cold luster.

It was as if the Queen had used some kind of ability to instantly generate a second layer of defense inside the cocoon, sealing Saitama up completely, shaping him into something like a gigantic insect egg.
