Chapter 780 - Chapter 780

He agilely dodged the stone axe that chopped toward him, and his vibranium claws slashed hard at one statue's arm—claws that could cut through tank armor—yet they only left a faint white scratch on the stone surface, not even scraping off much debris.

"This stone… is abnormally hard!" T'Challa's heart jolted.

Worse, the statues could spew a strange gray mist from their mouths. Anyone who inhaled it would fall into intense hallucinations. Several museum security guards who tried to stop them with riot forks had already collapsed on the ground, unconscious, terror frozen on their faces.

Relying on the filtering system of his vibranium suit, T'Challa barely resisted the mist. But against several invulnerable, monstrously strong statues attacking him at once, he was clearly being forced back, barely able to hold on. One especially tall statue raised a heavy stone axe, seized a moment, and hacked down viciously at the slightly-restricted T'Challa! The axe blade carried a vicious gust as it came down

Right then, at the shattered entrance of the museum, a bald man in casual clothes walked in. He'd been dragged here by the security captain who had fled outside in panic, babbling incoherently about "the stone came alive" and "only you might be able to handle it."

The moment Saitama entered, he just happened to see that statue lifting its axe to chop at a man dressed in a black cat-like animal suit (Saitama thought the outfit looked kind of weird). He didn't think much about it. He dashed forward in a single step, and before the massive stone axe could fall, he reached out and steadily caught it under the rough axe head.

A strike heavy enough to split a tank—was casually stopped with one hand, like it was nothing. The axe couldn't drop even a single inch further. The stone statue seemed to freeze for a second, then tried to yank its weapon back—only to find the axe utterly unmoving in that hand.

Saitama looked at the stone axe. His other hand came up too, gripping the handle, and then he lightly bent it sideways.

Crack!

A crisp snap rang out. That complete stone axe broke clean in half at the middle! The axe head fell to the floor with a heavy thud.

The leader statue seemed enraged. It abandoned the broken axe and swung a huge stone fist at Saitama. Saitama didn't dodge. He simply raised that ordinary-looking fist of his and punched straight into the statue's unbelievably thick chest.

In that instant, time seemed to freeze again. Then, centered on the impact point, countless cracks spread like madness, covering the statue's entire body in a blink.

And under T'Challa's stunned gaze, that statue—so hard that even vibranium could only leave white marks—collapsed with a roar!

Not breaking into a few big chunks, but completely disintegrating into countless fingernail-sized stones, clattering down into a heap on the floor, as if it had always been nothing more than blocks stacked together.

The other statues still wrecking the exhibit hall seemed drawn by the scene. They all stopped at once, turned toward Saitama, the eerie green light in their eyes flickering—then they started moving together with heavy steps, closing in to surround him.

Saitama glanced around and rolled his wrist. "There're still this many? Fine, I'll just deal with them all at once."

His figure flickered, weaving between the statues like he was taking a leisurely walk. Each time he struck, it came with a crisp impact sound—and a statue completely crumbled apart. Sometimes he shattered a head with one punch, sometimes he snapped legs with a kick. Not a single statue could withstand even his lightest hit.
