His punch, however, carried an indescribable heaviness—like it could shake space itself.
"Serious Series—"
The moment his fist shot out, time seemed to stretch infinitely.
"—Serious Punch!"
BOOM—!!!!!!!!!!!
A roar beyond words—like the first explosion at the birth of the universe!
In front of Saitama's fist, space violently twisted and compressed. A white pillar of light, billions of times brighter than the sun, erupted in an instant. It wasn't an energy beam—it was something purer than pure: a blast of air created from terrifying kinetic force and sheer willpower—
A punch wind.
The instant that pillar appeared, the thick darkness smothering the entire basement—so dense it felt tangible—let out sizzling, mournful cries and began melting away at visible speed, retreating like ice meeting a blazing sun.
Those five world-ending dark blade-waves—at the moment they touched the white pillar—couldn't even stir a ripple. Like snowflakes tossed into a furnace, they vaporized and vanished without a trace.
The white pillar didn't slow. Carrying an absolute will to purify all darkness and crush all evil, it pierced through the basement's space at a speed beyond thought.
Target—
The dark fusion monster!
"No—!!!"
In its ghostly green, flaming eyes, the monster reflected that all-destroying white light—filled with boundless fear and despair. It could feel it: this was an irresistible might that stood above its so-called "master's power." It tried to raise its huge claw plated with hardened armor to block. It tried to beat its dark bat wings to flee. It tried to mobilize every last ounce of dark energy inside itself to form a shield…
But before absolute power, all of it was meaningless.
The white pillar swallowed it without resistance.
There was no earth-shaking explosion. No gore and flesh flying everywhere.
When the cleansing white light finally faded, the basement was a wreck—yet strangely "clean."
The altar was gone. Along with it, the blood-red ritual array had been completely erased, leaving only a smooth, deep crater.
At the bottom of that crater, the deep-blue crystal lay quietly. The dark energy that had once corroded it looked as if it had been washed away, disappearing without a trace. It once again radiated a pure, nebula-like blue halo.
As for the monster that had fused with darkness—so arrogant and terrifying—and the so-called "master's power" within it…
Both had vanished completely.
No remains. No ash. As if it had never existed.
The dark sky-dome that had blanketed the entire town of Glenmore shuddered violently the moment the monster disappeared, then contracted like a punctured balloon—
Pop.
It dispersed completely.
Long-lost sunlight poured back down onto this battered land.
The surviving townspeople trembled as they peeked out from their hiding places, staring at the bright sunlight outside and the ruined streets—now completely free of monsters. Their faces were filled with stunned disbelief and the dazed joy of surviving disaster.
"The darkness… the darkness is gone!"
"Sunlight! It's sunlight!"
"We're saved! It was that yellow hero! He did it!"
Cheers, sobs, and shaky laughter rose from all across the town.
Saitama slowly walked out from the church ruins—the basement collapse had brought part of the church down with it—and patted the dust off himself. He looked up at the clear sky, then down at the purified blue crystal in his hand.
