Cracking their shells with a single punch was easy.
Completely destroying them, though—especially landing a precise hit on a vital point while they were lashing out in a frenzy—still took a bit of time and effort.
He realized that if he kept taking them out one by one by himself, it would be far too inefficient.
The city's damage and civilian casualties would only keep piling up.
"Hey! You big guys over there!"
Saitama twisted his body, casually slipping past a sweeping bone blade while shouting toward the Avengers.
"Don't just stand around staring! Get in here and help! Let's finish this quick!"
Captain America, Steve, immediately picked up on Saitama's intent and predicament.
"Avengers! Coordinate with Mr. Saitama!"
He issued the order without hesitation, his steady, powerful voice instantly pulling the scattered heroes back into a unified whole.
"Natasha! Clint! Disrupt them! Tony, provide air support and draw their fire!"
"Copy, Captain!"
Black Widow, Natasha, moved like a sleek black panther, springing into action at once.
Using collapsed rubble and burning cars as cover, her figure slipped like a phantom between the monsters' towering legs.
The Widow's Bite in her hands stabbed precisely into the joints and compound eyes of the giant beasts.
She couldn't deal any real, decisive damage, but the intense electric currents and pinpoint strikes made the monsters restless and irritable, their movements repeatedly thrown off—
opening up more room for Saitama to dodge and observe.
"Got it!"
Hawkeye, Clint, had long since taken up a vantage point on high.
His eyes were sharp as a hawk's, bowstring thrumming again and again.
Special armor-piercing arrows and explosive arrowheads flew as if they had eyes,
slamming into the gaps in the monsters' shells, their eyes, and the exposed insides of their mouths whenever they roared.
His attacks were precise and ruthless.
They couldn't kill the beasts in a single blow, but they always hit the most annoying, painful spots,
forcing the monsters to constantly divide their attention—
even interrupting their attacks on Saitama as they were compelled to defend or dodge.
"JARVIS, initiate Fireworks Protocol!
Let these ugly freaks see what a real party looks like!"
Iron Man, Tony, suddenly pulled up hard, soaring higher.
Weapon bays on his shoulders, back, and arms snapped open all at once.
Dozens of micro-missiles, trailing fiery tails, swarmed down toward the herd of giant beasts encircling Saitama like a cloud of angry bees.
Blossoming explosions and shockwaves instantly engulfed several of the monsters.
Even though the blasts still couldn't punch through their thick armor,
the sheer force and deafening noise successfully drew most of the beasts' rage.
They all lifted their heads, turning away from Saitama, and roared furiously at the "tin man" zipping around in the sky,
spewing beams of energy up at him.
With the pressure on him suddenly reduced, Saitama finally got a precious moment to breathe and observe,
thanks to his teammates' flawless coordination.
His gaze sharpened, locking onto one particular monster—
its movements warped from Natasha's electric shocks and Clint's explosive arrows,
the cracks in its shell now the most obvious among them.
Now.
Saitama pushed off the ground.
The street beneath his feet exploded with a thunderous boom as his figure blurred forward,
appearing in front of the monster's chest as if he had simply teleported.
It was still that same plain, unadorned punch—
yet within it was contained pure, destructive power.
His fist crashed straight into the center of the crack he'd made earlier.
"Crack— — — Boom!"
This time, the fracture line shot clean through the monster's entire chest.
Its once-indestructible shell shattered completely like fragile glass.
The colossal body jerked violently, the ghostly light in its eyes rapidly dimming.
After a short, strangled whimper, it collapsed with an earthshaking crash,
kicking up a towering cloud of dust and debris.
The power of true teamwork had finally shown its edge.
The fall of that first giant beast greatly boosted everyone's morale.
It proved that these seemingly invincible monsters were not, in fact, unbeatable.
