Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: An Awkward Yet Polite Smile!

"You… are Doctor Yinsen?"

Saitama rubbed his chin, sizing up the man before him—one of Marvel's most memorable supporting characters.

Clang—

The wrench in Yinsen's hand dropped to the floor. His mind froze, while Tony Stark, fixed to the wall with his back to the door to avoid the cameras, couldn't see what was happening.

Anxious and puzzled, Tony urged, "Hey, what's wrong, man? This is the critical moment! Was that an explosion just now? Hurry up and finish assembling the armor, then we can follow the plan!"

Yinsen felt as though something was lodged in his throat. Staring at the twisted steel door and the unharmed bald man standing before him, he instinctively nodded.

"Ah, that's right. I'm Saitama, a C-Class hero for fun, part of the Hero Association. I'm here to get you out."

Saitama glanced at the retinal display showing the side mission [Rescue Yinsen], which now read 'Distance: 1m.' Looked like this was the right guy.

"But… but… right now… those…"

Yinsen pointed toward the terrified terrorists outside. After taking a deep breath to calm himself, he said with difficulty, "Mr. Saitama? Please wait a moment. I still have something to finish. Stark can't die here. I'll be done assembling this soon, but those guys outside… you need to leave. Go now, Mr. Saitama!"

Even with death at his door and a savior standing before him, the man still kept his promise.

"Saitama?!"

Unable to turn his head because of the helmet, Tony froze. Something clicked in his mind—he remembered a certain classified file.

With J.A.R.V.I.S.'s processing power, the so-called U.S. Department of Defense security was nothing to him. Of course, Tony publicly praised American tech, claiming even he couldn't crack it—but in reality, he'd made it his personal playground.

He had seen that file himself… and even reviewed footage of the wreckage of the Blackwing jet recovered from the ocean. Using J.A.R.V.I.S., he had simulated the destruction sequence, which matched exactly what Captain Steve had described.

Yet after combing through every classified file—even knowing the president's underwear color—he'd never found any concrete evidence that "Saitama" existed. Eventually, the matter faded away.

And now… someone was actually calling themselves Saitama?

"Oh? Then go ahead and finish up. I'll wait."

Saitama plopped down casually on a stool, strolling over to examine Tony's armor with interest.

"Saitama?! Impossible! He actually… exists!"

The legendary genius Tony Stark actually screamed in disbelief.

Exactly as Captain Steve had described—bald head, yellow jumpsuit, red gloves, white cape… and a rather expressionless face.

Knock, knock—

Saitama tapped the armor lightly, clicking his tongue. "Looks kinda like Genos's gear. Are you a cyborg? But it seems a bit outdated."

Tony: "…"

Are you kidding me?!

This was the most advanced single-soldier combat suit in the world—hydraulic propulsion, M5 heat-seeking missiles, enhanced flamethrowers, titanium alloy exoskeleton, electromagnetic actuators…

This was cutting-edge tech, a hundred years ahead of its time! With J.A.R.V.I.S. at his base, he could make something even stronger! And you call it outdated?!

"Take down that monster!"

"Oh God, I must be seeing things! Call the boss—something's wrong with Stark!"

"Shoot him! Kill him!!"

The terrorists at the door finally snapped out of their shock, panic making their fingers lock tight on the triggers.

Rat-a-tat-tat—

The hail of bullets lasted barely a second before being drowned out by a loud clang.

Saitama had casually grabbed a steel panel the size of a door and hurled it.

Boom—

The armed men were swatted against the mountain wall like flies, the multi-ton steel plate embedding itself more than a meter deep into the rock.

"…"

Silence.

Watching Saitama calmly dust off his hands, Tony felt a chill down his spine. Even in the armor, he felt no sense of safety.

His prepared speech died in his throat, replaced by a polished business smile that was awkward yet polite.

"Uh… you're absolutely right. This thing is a bit outdated. I'm Tony Stark—pleased to meet you, Saitama! Are you free this weekend? Come to my oceanfront villa for a private party. Yinsen, please don't stop—finish the assembly and load the power system program. Yes, use that computer!"
