Kyrian observed the silent hall for a few seconds after Dong Zhen disappeared through the side door. The place seemed to exhale a slow, almost imperceptible breath, as if the inner courtyard were alive and aware.
He turned toward the rectangular constructions that served as dormitories. He walked to one of the doors, the closest one, and pushed it open to enter.
The interior was simple but solid.
The walls were made of the same material, the same polished black brick that formed the outer floor, with thin red veins running in straight lines, emitting a faint glow.
The lighting came from two red gems set into the ceiling, radiating a soft reddish tone throughout the place, enough to see everything clearly.
The dormitory was divided into three spaces. The first was the main room, with a low table of dark stone and a chair also made of stone, covered by a layer of rigid fabric.
Beside it, there was a built-in wardrobe in the wall, without many ornaments, only functional.
