Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – The Ancient Call

The early morning mist curled through the towering trees outside the Alucard estate, blurring the line between the waking world and dreams. The estate, sprawling and ornate, seemed almost to hold its breath as I prepared for what felt like a step beyond even the boundaries of my carefully controlled life.

Grandfather Magnus had summoned me quietly the night before, his crisp voice carrying a rare urgency.

"This journey is not for idle curiosity, Robert. It carries the weight of our family's legacy—a secret hidden in the bones of Kalos."

His gaze lingered on mine with something both testing and trusting. I nodded, knowing that beneath the surface of our quiet world, larger forces were moving.

The expedition began at dawn. Just beyond the estate's edge was a narrow path winding into the dense Kalosian forest, a trail few knew and fewer dared explore. Magnus moved with steady assurance, flanked by two silent aides, while I followed, senses alert to every sound, every shadow.

The air grew cooler, charged with a strange energy that prickled my skin. With every step, a faint pull tugged at my consciousness—something ancient, restless, and reaching out through the thick undergrowth like an unvoiced call.

Hours later, we arrived at an ancient stone temple, half-swallowed by ivy and mystery. Its carved walls were worn, yet etched with symbols that pulsed faintly with aura—woven patterns that seemed to shimmer and breathe.

Magnus paused at the entrance, turning to me. "Few have set foot here in centuries. This temple holds a truth older than our bloodlines."

Inside, the dim light filtered through cracks, casting kaleidoscopic patterns on the floor. The air smelled of earth and forgotten time. Then, I felt it—like the slow beating of a cosmic heart.

Within the hushed shadows, a form stirred.

Deoxys.

Its shape was unlike any Pokémon I had known—alien, fluid, shifting with colors that flickered like distant nebulae. Its limbs moved with unnatural grace, body patterns glowing softly with inner light.

Our eyes met—though the word felt too human for what passed between us. It was a silent exchange of thoughts, emotions, and memories. I sensed its loneliness, its strength, its boundless curiosity matched only by my own yearning to understand.

It was a meeting of souls older than time, linked by threads of aura and mind.

Without words, Deoxys reached out with its psychic tendrils, and I responded with the opening of mine. There was no capture, no command—only deep recognition.

"This bond," Magnus whispered behind me, "is not of control, but of mutual awakening. You, Robert, are the only one capable of reaching this far into the cosmos."

The encounter left me changed.

The temple's secrets ignited my mind's reach, expanding my understanding of Aura beyond earthly limits. I carried Deoxys with me—not as a trophy, but as a companion in the unfolding mysteries of power and purpose.

Back at the estate, whispers of the day's events were kept even from the closest of family servants. This was a secret woven tightly into the fabric of my legacy.

That night, I sat alone in my room, Deoxys resting nearby, its presence a calm yet electric hum. I stared out the window at the stars each one a possible home for beings like Deoxys, each one a reminder that my path was far larger than any journey I had imagined.

Someday, with this knowledge and strength, I would walk among legends.

But first, I would master the power within and the secret worlds waiting in the shadows.
