It was just a typical boring day,I went to work in 9am and leave in 3pm,I live alone after i graduated from college,I don't have many friends and have been in a few failed relationships.
Sometimes i felt as though the only reason I still have the will to keep living till this day is because of my family.
They have always support me but I constantly let them down.
There is also a hope that i might succed someday, but as time past that hope became more and more distant and far away
I usually spent the free time I had by reading books and novels, especially fantasy ones because when I read those type of books/novels. I felt as though I've been transferred
To another world.
I've always wondered how amazing it would be to transport to another world.
Until that faithful day
I was visiting the local library to collect some books. As usual I was looking for a good fantasy book/ novel to read, I've read a lot of them LOTR,GAME OF THRONES,HARRY POTTER and in the novel section,SAO,RE-ZERO, JOBLESS REINCARNATION you name them I've read them all.
While i was searching,i stumbled upon a particular book since the cover of the book reflected the sunlight which hit me in the eye.
It was a strange book,weird symbols and signs were written all over it. It was also very thick
I took it out and stare at it for a few seconds,
There was a strange feeling when I held and touch the book, It was as though it was calling for me.
I opened the book and in the first page these words were written.
YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY THE GODS
I smirk and said,'Yeah Right,what a way to start a book'. But as I kept reading through the pages. These words were written
PLACE YOUR HAND UNDER THIS
(There was a drawing of a human hand underneath)
I reluctantly do as i was told without even thinking. Maybe it was because i thought that it would actually had some magical power.
But after i placed my hand nothing happened,I wasn't surprised as i said ' I guess I've really gone insane, to think that i would actually believe such silly tricks' . But just before I took off my hand, The book started glowing very brightly
I panicked and immediately dropped the book
But suddenly the light grew brighter and its brightness swallowed the entire area,I was almost blinded by the light. So i covered my face with my arms. Then I heard a loud sound, similar to that of a lightning.
When I finally uncover my face, i look around and see that I am in a complety white room, no it was more like the entire space i was in was covered in white with no other color.
I look down and saw that im standing on nothing, so i panicked, But in that very moment a voice called me and said 'Welcome'
I look over to where i thought the voice came from, but didn't saw anything. The voice then said, ' Ah, it seems that you can't quite see me, perhaps I will take on a form that will be more recognisable to you' In an instant a figure suddenly appeared before me, and after looking closer i clearly see what the figure looked like
The figure was a man( I know this because he was naked), who is probably around 20 to 30 years old, He got a regular healthy male physique, he had an average height probably around 5'9 or 5'10
His entire face was covered in a piece of cloth which got a strange symbol in it.The symbol kinda looked like the the symbol of the zodiac killer.
While i was observing him carefully, the man suddenly spoke, 'Greetings, Oh brave warrior the Gods. Have chosen you to be the hero that would save this world from the evi-', I quickly interupted his speech as all of the things that had been happening just doesn't felt real. 'Wait wait wait, don't just say what you want, i have so many things that I want to asked, first of all what is this place,who are you,what do you want and were you the one that brought me here'
The strange man frozed for a few seconds before saying in a calm and deep voice,' It seemed that our hero is still a bit confused then let me clear the things you don't understand,Since you are in this world ,it means that you are, as i said CHOSEN BY THE GODS. The book that you found wasn't any book it was a device THE GODS used to find you'
I was at a lost for words when the figure started speaking again,' Although you were chosen by the Gods, you still need to undergo a trial, I was in shock as i said, "A- A trial?", 'Yes a trial ,so that the Gods will know if you are worthy or not', "But what if I'm unworthy",
'Well you'll find that out very soon ' ,
'Well that's all the time I have, good luck with the trial', as he said that i started falling, i fall for a few seconds before I saw a ground but just before hitting the ground i realize i was leavitating. " Is this the one " , I heard a voice say
As i looked up i saw three intimidating beings,
almost their entire body was covered in light
I can vaguely saw their appearance through the light.But the moment I lockes eyes with one of the deities,i immediately felt immesed pressure,that force me to bow down and bend my knees
One of them saw me struggling and said,'Is this really the hero we have summoned,the hero who is meant to be strong and powerful like us Gods,but looked at him,his trembling just because he felt our gazed', then the other one speak and said,"Well isn't that because you purposely made him fell your presence,you know that regular humans couldn't even bare our presence even for a little while", 'Exactly my point ' The other one said.
While the Gods were talking amongst themselves,I managed to lift my head with the little strength I had left and I asked them,"Are -are you the Gods that had chosen me to be this so called hero and had brought me in this strange place", One of the Gods looked at me and said,'Oh, it seems that he is still able to live,a bit impressive i must say,for a mere human.Yes we are the Gods that had summoned you.We summoned you so that we can grant you the power of a hero,to save the World
'But we had now regretted that choice,we didn't think that such a weak creature would be summoned,it's a shame really.We thought of killing you immediately,but that wouldn't make any difference so we will sent you to our world so that you can repent and worshiped us until your forgiven
" Worshiped you,being Forgiven?."Wha-Why would i need to be forgiven i haven't done anything wrong". 'Yes you have ', one of the Gods said 'You have committed a great sin by not being the one we were looking for ,do you know how much time and effort we need to summon beings from other dimensions.But now all our hardwork have been for nothing.
You should be thankful that we didn't immediately killed you.'
"So this entire thing was a mistake" I thought to myself,"Then why me,why was i chosen,i-I want to go home,they see me as a failure,they think I'm worthless,they don't Even bother to kill me."
The God than said,'Ugh,even the sight of him makes me sick, let's just sent him down immediately'.
"No i don't want to, please I beg of you".
But it was too late,in an instant my vision suddenly turned black.I felt cold and alone.
But suddenly i felt warmth,it was the type of warmth you felt when someone is hugging you tightly.
I suddenly regained my consciousness and slowly open my eyes.I saw two people looking at me with a huge smile on their face.
'We did it Liz,it's a boy', "Oh,and he looked just like his Father", the two people sound very happy.
I slowly raised my arm and happened to touch a big squishy object,"Wha-What this,it's so squishy and soft", i quickly realised that my hands were really small,so small that it looks like the hand of a baby.
I touched my face,it was also very soft,my whole body felt very light.
It was then that i realize that I've been reborn as a bady,in this strange new world.
