Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: First Contact with Ran

What if I went outside… and ran into a fat, ugly woman weighing several hundred pounds?

Ishikawa Takeshi looked down at his small arms and legs, then glanced at the attribute screen.

Strength: 5

Speed: 6

Talent: Charm

(Charm: As a succubus, possesses incredible attraction to the opposite sex!)

He felt like Tang Monk's flesh irresistible to certain women.

The thought alone made him shiver.

Absolutely not. He couldn't risk going out like this.

Without Eri Kisaki around, the chances of meeting a high-quality woman were slim. And if he ran into an ugly pervert… what if she caught him?

Even worse, according to the System, not all women emitted Yin energy. Only certain "high-quality" ones did, and his succubus body was picky about what it could absorb.

In other words, if he got caught by the wrong person, he'd be in trouble and gain nothing. If that person locked him up in some dark room, forcing him to see things he didn't want to…

Too dangerous.

Better to stay here where it was safe.

Takeshi wrapped himself in a thin blanket and settled into the living room.

Behind him, Eri Kisaki watched from the kitchen, a small smile forming.

So he's not resisting me at all.

If he had insisted on leaving, she would've been disappointed. But since he wanted to stay perfect. She wanted to spend time with him. For some reason, even though they'd only met yesterday, she already felt deeply attached to the boy, as if they'd known each other for years.

They just… clicked.

Wrapped in his blanket, Takeshi waited quietly on the sofa.

The front door opened.

"Mom, I'm here!"

A bright, pleasant voice filled the room, followed by a beautiful high school girl stepping inside.

She had curved willow brows, eyes with a faint violet hue that sparkled like gemstones, and a flawless oval face full of youthful glow. Dressed in a blue high school uniform, her skirt revealed slender, fair legs. She slipped off her shoes, showing small white socks.

It was Ran.

Her very presence brought a fresh, lively energy into the apartment.

"I bought the boy's clothes like you asked!"

She stopped mid-step.

There, on the sofa, sat Takeshi blanket draped over his shoulders, pale skin visible at the neck, messy hair catching the morning light. His delicate features gave off an otherworldly charm.

Ran froze.

…So cute.

She only snapped out of it after realizing she'd been staring.

From the kitchen, Eri Kisaki kept cooking, not reacting to the commotion. Ran, curiosity piqued, stepped toward the boy.

Who is he? Could he be one of Mom's case victims? Why doesn't he have clothes?

And his hair… so fluffy. I want to touch it.

But before she could get closer, her socks slipped on the floor.

"Ah!"

Takeshi barely had time to widen his eyes before she crashed into him, knocking them both onto the sofa.

Something soft and warm pressed against his cheek.

…Lips.

Ran's violet eyes flew open, and a spark of shock went through her. She scrambled upright, face flushed.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Did I hurt you? The floor was too slippery!" She kept a hand on his shoulder, checking him over.

"I'm fine. Who are you?" Takeshi feigned confusion.

Eri Kisaki finally came out of the kitchen.

"Ishikawa, this is my daughter, Ran. Ran, did you bring the clothes?"

"Ah yes!" Ran handed over the bag.

"These are new men's clothes. Xiao Wu, go change into them," Eri said, passing them to Takeshi.

He nodded and went to the bedroom.

As soon as he was gone, Ran turned to her mother.

"Mom, who is that boy? Why is he here?"

Eri smiled.

"His name is Ishikawa Takeshi. From now on, he's like your little brother. I plan to adopt him."

"…What?!" Ran stared in shock.

"This is too sudden! You didn't even talk to Dad about it?"

Eri's eyes narrowed. "Don't mention that man to me. And this has nothing to do with him. Takeshi will be living with me."

Ran immediately went quiet.

Eri's tone softened.

"Takeshi is pitiful. The orphanage director used to hit him, starve him… If I don't help him, no one will. Ran, you don't want him to go back to that, do you?"

Ran hesitated not out of refusal, but because it was all happening so fast.
