While Angron faced his future version Samael instead took to the sky with a mighty flap of his wings and within moments he was far above the battle.
"Where are you brother" Samael scanned the battle until he spotted the command post for the Chaos space marines and divebombed it while coating his body in a layer of Light.
With a mighty crash he crashed through the roof of the building in which the other fallen primarchs were using as a command centre (mainly perturabo as he kinda carried the entire siege himself).
When he broke through the roof and saw that his fallen Brothers were infact gathered in this building he detonated the coating for Light around him.
BOOM
The explosion rocked the entire hive city and beyond but still Samael stood on the only standing wall looking down at his fallen Brothers as they picked themselves up off the floor.
"Who are you" growled the snake that was once Samael's brother and even if he detested what they had become he still loves them enough to give them an answer.
"I am Samael" he said plainly as he sprouted his wings and spread them to their full wingspan.
"The angel of death and judgement" with his peace said he summoned weapons of all type above himself in a dizzying display of sheer power.
The mention of the name Samael caused Horus to double over and his already demonic eyes to change to pitch black as the gods of Chaos undivided spoke through him.
"Impossible. We killed the last of you kind ourselves" the ground around Horus morphed into a mirror of the sky above him in a mockery of divine strength.
Samael looked at what was once his brother with cold eyes and spoke bluntly, "you obviously didn't" before with a flick of his wrist the Arsenal of Light weapons launched themselves at Horus, who mimicked his action.
The collision of both holy and demon resulted in a continuous screeching noise as Horus had to use more and more to transmute the area around him to keep the Light weapons from skewering him.
Samael ducked a swing from the night haunter with contemptuous ease before slapping him away with a single wing and creating a sword that followed the night Lords primarchs flight.
With a flick of his wrist Samael created a shield of Light that blocked the onslaught of weapons fire from perturabo while also continuing to hound Horus with more and more weapons.
"You really are pathetic, Fulgrim" was the only response that the Phoenicians sneak attack earned him before he was grabbed by the throat and lifted off his feet.
"I wonder how this feels" Samael spoke while pumping the demon primarch of slaanesh full of the holy Light he created his weapons from.
The snake demon screamed in pain as his very existence was purified from this plain of existence.
"Goodbye little brother" it was spoken softly but all the primarchs still heard it clearly as the body of Fulgrim faded into ash and smoke.
"We aren't doing anything" grunted perturabo as he continued trying all manner of weapons to hurt the angel but nothing even scratched the shield.
"I am aware brother" yelled the night haunter as he fled from the weapon that followed his ever move.
"Then what do we do?" Grunted Mortarion as he tried to clip the angel's wings from behind but all that earned him was a glare and a backhand to the face that launched him at perturabo.
"KILL" at this point with so much of the Chaos gods power flooding his body and soul he had completely become nothing but a puppet.
"Even with all of the Chaos gods power flowing through you and this is all you amount to brother?" asked Samael as he seemed to get bored of this game and dismissed the weapons of Light.
"FINALLY OUT OF POWER LITTLE BIRD" the gods cackled through Horus before launching a wave of weapons that eclipsed all the others that had been thrown so far.
"No" was all the angel said before aiming his hand at the approaching weapons and pushed.
Every single weapon Horus had launched stopped dead in the air before with a flick of Samael's hand they crumbled into dust.
"You are all a parasite and nothing more" with a grasping motion Samael used the force to pull the his brother up to his level and stare into his eyes that even now burned with dark power.
"For what it's worth" spoke the angel, "I really did love you brother" using his control over the force he stopped all the other traitor primarchs and their legions in their tracks.
The entire battle field froze as every enemy was grasped by some invisible force and pulled to one location.
When the loyal space marine snapped out of their confusion the hurried to the location that the frozen enemy's had been taken to and what they found was astonishing.
Apon a broke wall sat a man with 12 wings of gold and a halo above his head. Below him on the floor was every single enemy space marine kneeling whilst struggling to escape an invisible force holding them down.
"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU" even the most composed space marine flinched as the ex warmaster screamed his throat hoarse threatening the angel as he continued to ignore him.
"Where is the Emperor" he didn't need to be told but it would be suspicious if he just appeared in the throne room when nobody had told him.
After a moment of silence the blank faced Rogal Dorn stepped forward past the circle of marines and spoke.
"Why?" The angel had expected his most straightforward brother to react like this but it was still jaring speaking with him.
"I intend to give the traitors to him personally" Samael swept his hand over the restrained formed of all of the traitor primarchs (with the exception of Fulgrim but everybody had heard his final scream as he died) and their legions.
"Who are you" Rogal asked bluntly.
"I am a member of a long dead religion from old Terra" Samael technically wasn't lieing as his body and powers were from the angel of the Judeo-Christian religion.
"Hmm" was all the primarchs of the imperial fists said as he turned and started walking to the imperial palace.
The angel dropped from his perch and walked after his brother.
"How long can you hold them?" Samael took a moment to think over the question and probe his force connection to see for himself.
"As long as Horus doesn't get a random power boost from the warp cancers then until the heat death of the universe." Dorn hummed before asking.
"And if he does get a boost"
"He might give me a bit of trouble"
"But would you be forced to release them"
(Na I'd win) "About a month" Samael shrugged not really knowing without seeing how powerful the boost would be.
