"Glazed Sword Heart and Star Physique…?"
Lisa froze for a moment, her gaze toward Lumine and Paimon filling with envy.
Jean and the others were utterly stunned.
Lisa had already explained the concept of special constitutions in cultivation before they left for Liyue.
Klee, for example, was a Blazing Spirit Physique—one said to evolve into the legendary Scarlet Emperor's Burning Sun Physique, a divine constitution.
That was why Jiang Yan had accepted her straightaway as his personal true disciple.
Keqing possessed the Thunderfrost Sword Physique.
Shenhe, the Pure Yin Moonlight Physique.
All were special constitutions.
And these were precisely why Keqing and Shenhe, despite their cultivation realms, could unleash combat strength that far surpassed ordinary peers.
And now…
Lumine and Paimon too possessed special constitutions?
Though they didn't yet know the details, just hearing the names made it clear: these were not ordinary.
Otherwise, Jiang Yan would never have called them prodigies unseen in ten thousand years.
Jean couldn't help but ask carefully:
"Sect Master, do you mean…"
Though she too felt envy, her heart was more glad for them.
Jiang Yan said gently:
"Lumine and Paimon need not take the Heart-Testing Array. They may directly enter Mount Shu."
Even if they had already suspected, hearing Jiang Yan say it aloud still stirred envy in Jean and the others.
Lumine blinked, dazed.
"We… don't need to take the trial?"
"Of course not."
Jiang Yan smiled faintly.
"If a Glazed Sword Heart or a Star Physique needed to pass tests before joining Mount Shu, our ancestors through the ages would rise from their graves to scold me."
"You must not belittle yourselves. These are constitutions unseen since antiquity. Even compared with Klee's future Scarlet Emperor's Burning Sun Physique, they are only slightly inferior in the divine body rankings."
Lisa's eyes widened further.
"Divine Bodies?!"
Jiang Yan gave a small nod.
"A heart as clear as glass, cutting through all things."
"The morning star guides the path, illuminating heaven and earth."
"These phrases describe the Glazed Sword Heart and Star Physique."
"In the past, in the Immortal Realm, Mount Shu once had a Taiyi Golden Immortal elder who possessed the Glazed Sword Heart. His heart was like glass—unshakable, flawless. With a blade of mere grass, he could sever sun, moon, and stars. His most dazzling feat was cutting apart an entire demonic small world while only at the early stage of Unity of Dao."
"Later, when he ascended to the Immortal Realm, he became one of the most formidable Taiyi Golden Immortals Mount Shu ever produced."
Jiang Yan then looked at Paimon.
This little one's origins were deeply mysterious—likely tied to the Four Thrones, perhaps even one of them herself.
Her original life essence far surpassed Zhongli's level, though now it seemed scattered.
Yet the foundation remained.
Until she reached the peak of Spirit Transformation, there would be no bottleneck.
And with the Star Physique, even the breakthrough to Spirit Transformation and Returning to Void would be smooth.
Aside from Klee, none in all Mount Shu had a smoother path ahead.
Lumine's eyes lit up.
"So… I am the Glazed Sword Heart?"
"Naturally."
"Then Paimon is the Star Physique!"
Overjoyed, Lumine hugged Paimon tight, planting a kiss on her cheek.
She was sincerely happy for her.
Paimon was still a bit muddled, but deep down she felt a quiet joy.
Lisa asked curiously:
"Sect Master, and what is special about the Star Physique?"
Jiang Yan replied softly:
"In the ancient cultivation world, there was a righteous sect second only to Mount Shu—the Tianyuan Sect. Its sect master, Mo Chenzi, reached the peak of Unity of Dao in just three thousand years."
"He was a Star Physique."
"Those with this body are born with unmatched affinity to the starry skies and spatial realms. With proper cultivation, they can command both stars and space with a single thought."
"In the past, Mo Chenzi once stood alone against the four peak Unity of Dao experts of the Ten-Thousand Souls Valley."
"He lit the starry sea, summoned the constellations. That day, stars fell, space collapsed."
"When others went to investigate, billions of miles of void had crumbled. The Ten-Thousand Souls Valley—one of the pillars of the demonic path—was utterly annihilated."
"The four peak cultivators vanished without a trace. And Mo Chenzi himself suffered only minor injuries, healed within days."
"Thus, in the cultivation world it is said: Among those without Divine Bodies, none can stand equal to the Star Physique."
"It is the most sought-after constitution by every great sect."
Hearing this, Paimon's eyes sparkled, her little body stiffening proudly as if to say she stood above the heavens themselves.
Had Jiang Yan not been here, she would surely have leapt up to show off.
Lisa, however, only sighed inwardly.
Such prodigies crushed the morale of ordinary cultivators far too much.
All the more, she grew curious about the rumored pills that could grant special constitutions.
Jiang Yan then asked gently:
"Lumine, Paimon—would you be willing to enter Mount Shu and cultivate upon my Tongtian Peak?"
Lumine scratched her cheek.
"We… can't formally take a master?"
Jiang Yan chuckled.
"At present, only two peak lords and a few elders are qualified to accept disciples, but they themselves are still learning their own paths."
"If you wished to take me as master, your talent would be enough. Yet unlike Klee, you are no longer in the pure, innocent stage most suited to discipleship. Your hearts already hold too many thoughts. In truth, self-cultivation suits you better. I also lack methods specifically tailored for your constitutions."
Lumine pouted.
"So our temperament isn't as good as Klee's…?"
Jiang Yan smiled slyly:
"If you took me as master, then you would need to call Klee your senior sister. How would you feel about that?"
Lumine and Paimon froze.
Images of themselves chasing after Klee while calling her "Senior Sister" filled their minds—
A scene of unbearable embarrassment.
Lumine's face flushed.
"Er… maybe not then…"
Jiang Yan laughed softly.
Though they looked young, both Lumine and Paimon had lifespans measured in millennia.
They would inevitably walk their own paths.
Klee, on the other hand, trusted him completely, and with her unique physique he could map out a perfect path from childhood.
That was the true meaning of a personal disciple: half master, half father.
After they had calmed down, Jiang Yan spoke again:
"Very well. Lumine, Paimon—you may not be true disciples, but if you join Tongtian Peak, you will still enjoy many of their privileges."
The two exchanged glances, then copied Lisa's respectful bow:
"We are willing!"
"Good."
Jiang Yan nodded lightly.
"Formal instruction will wait until after Jean and the others complete their trial. For now, you may accompany them to the Heart-Testing Array to watch."
Just as his words fell, lively footsteps approached from outside.
Everyone wondered who dared be so noisy atop Tongtian Peak.
The next moment, red light flashed and a crisp laugh rang out, shattering the solemnity of the great hall.
"Master! Klee is here!"
Jiang Yan's face softened at once.
He reached out to scoop Klee into his arms, pinching her cheeks affectionately.
"Played enough already? Ready to cultivate?"
"Mhm!"
Klee nodded eagerly, eyes full of adoration.
"Klee caught a super big fierce fish-monster for Master to eat! It's really tasty, want to try?"
Jiang Yan chuckled.
"Later. Look who's come."
Klee turned and her eyes lit up.
"Captain Jean! Brother Kaeya! Traveler-sis and Paimon! Sister Barbara and Brother Diluc!"
"You all came to see Klee? Captain Jean, Klee missed you so much!"
She wriggled free and threw herself at Jean, hugging tightly.
Jean stroked her head, eyes full of tenderness.
"I missed you too, little Klee. Have you been behaving in Mount Shu?"
"Yes! Klee's super good! Both Mom and Master say so!"
Her forehead bore a tiny flame-shaped mark, making her even cuter.
Klee puffed her chest proudly:
"Klee's strong now! I can protect Captain Jean, I can beat up the bad dragon!"
Jean's heart ached with guilt—how many times had she locked this child away before?
Lisa laughed softly:
"Jean isn't just visiting. She and the others have come to join Mount Shu. Once they pass the trial, they'll stay with you."
"Really?!"
Klee beamed, clapping her hands.
"Yay! Captain Jean, Traveler-sis, Paimon—we can play together every day! Klee's the happiest child in the world!"
Watching her, Lumine and Paimon secretly felt relieved they hadn't insisted on calling Jiang Yan "Master."
Otherwise… having to call Klee "Senior Sister" while she called Lumine "Traveler-sis"—
Unbearably awkward.
Soon, Klee settled into cultivation by Jiang Yan's side, while he set up spirit-gathering arrays and fed in hundreds of mid-grade spirit stones—resources that left Lisa silently envious.
But Jiang Yan only thought: Klee was his only disciple, so of course she deserved the best.
Finally, he looked at Jean and the others.
"Since Lumine and Paimon are settled, the rest of you should head to the Heart-Testing Array. Zhongli will arrive soon to oversee it. Afterward, return here."
He paused, then turned to Lisa.
"After evening lessons today, I will lecture on the Dao. Do not miss it."
Lisa bowed respectfully.
"This disciple understands."
