"We, the Precursor Civilization, once had our glory.
Our ancestors once conquered the star sea.
We left our mark in every star-filled sky, and countless alien races bowed before us.
Until that destruction descended—"
On the Anteverse planet, within the magnificent Precursor Civilization's Arch-Bishop Council.
The Arch-Bishop was delivering his customary speech, given once every stellar revolution.
On the surrounding flesh-and-blood platforms sat hundreds of cardinals and ambassadors.
This was the core of the Precursor Civilization.
"But!
Destruction cannot crush the will of our civilization!
Any hardship or trial will temper the fighting spirit of the Precursor Civilization!
We shall conquer the star sea once again!"
Just as the speech reached its climax, the council's flesh-and-blood door suddenly opened.
A team of ambassadors rushed in, looking panicked.
One of them, ignoring the Arch-Bishop's displeasure at being interrupted, immediately leaned into his ear, reporting the sudden appearance of a large number of enemies at the wormhole on the other side of the planet.
At the same time, a disgusting flesh-and-blood membrane of light floated up from the ground.
What it displayed was the view from the eyes of a giant bio-weapon.
It showed the Universal Union forces unleashing terrifying firepower, destroying everything.
A few seconds later, this monster, used as an eye, was also annihilated in the gunfire.
"According to our investigation, this sudden appearance of enemies came from the planet on the other side of the wormhole, and it seems the wormhole has been controlled by them," the ambassador reporting said.
"This is impossible!" the Arch-Bishop instinctively retorted, disregarding etiquette.
"Those 'humans' have only just mastered nuclear energy; how could they possess such enormous space battleships? And how could they possibly pass through the wormhole? Let alone control it!"
The Precursor Civilization was not entirely ignorant of Earth in the Pacific Rim World.
Humans had once connected with the bio-weapons they sent out, which allowed them to glimpse some intelligence about human civilization.
Therefore, the Precursors knew the general situation of Earth in the Pacific Rim World; it was merely a backward civilization that had just scratched the surface of nuclear energy technology and hadn't even developed spaceflight technology.
It wouldn't take long for them to completely conquer and transform that planet, using it as the starting point for the Precursor Civilization's renewed greatness.
After the initial disbelief, the Arch-Bishop quickly calmed down.
Not only him, but also the lower-ranking bishops and cardinals on the surrounding platforms, all learned of the invasion of their home world.
The council hall was in an uproar.
"Silence!"
The Arch-Bishop reprimanded these subordinates of lower rank and simultaneously issued an order.
"Send out all troops! All invaders must be eliminated! I want to use them as material for my research!"
The Arch-Bishop let out an angry shriek.
"Massive biological signals detected! All bio-weapons in those factories are awakening!"
Inside the Olympus Mons, everyone looked solemn.
Clearly, it would be difficult for the Olympus Mons alone to cover tens of thousands of giant bio-weapons with conventional firepower.
Furthermore, the remaining biological turrets on the giant factories below were also turning their muzzles, redirecting their attacks towards the massive Olympus Mons.
"Deploy the Anti-matter Bomb!" Admiral Kotch immediately ordered.
"Yes!"
A conventional Anti-matter Bomb was launched, flying towards a giant flesh-and-blood factory.
"Prepare for the shockwave!"
The ground forces, having received the order, immediately tightened their formation, ready to endure the terrifying shockwave.
"Boom—! Rumble!!!"
Three miniature suns instantly bloomed.
The violent energy immediately destroyed all matter within the blast radius.
Those giant bio-weapons that were still in the process of powering up were completely annihilated.
Those that had already awakened and were slightly further from the blast radius had their internal organs shattered by the terrifying shockwave.
One, just one Anti-matter Bomb.
It eliminated at least several thousand Precursor giant bio-weapons that had not yet fully awakened.
Additionally, nearly a thousand that were already active were torn to shreds by the shockwave.
"This is the Universal Union's true firepower, alien scum," Admiral Kotch said, a rare smile appearing on his face as he looked at the hellish battlefield below.
"Don't let your guard down," Alex reminded him from the side.
Above them, within the wormhole, which was now completely under Union control, an endless stream of Union reinforcements was still arriving.
The only pity was that neither the Ishimura, nor the cobra-class destroyer, nor other large spacecraft, possessed the atmospheric hovering capability like the Olympus Mons.
Therefore, the arriving support forces were all small spacecraft and medium transport ships.
Aside from the Universal Union itself, war missions were once again dispatched to the United Government of the Resident Evil World and the ICA of the Avatar World.
Avarax, the United Government, the ICA, the Earth Government.
A total of four worlds, with massive military forces, were rapidly assembling, passing through the world portal, and heading towards the battlefield here.
"We need to be wary of any potential Precursor Civilization space forces; immediately send some Typhoon Fighters to break through the atmosphere and remain on high alert at all times."
Unbeknownst to them, the true leader of the Universal Union, Marcus, had also appeared on the bridge of the Olympus Mons.
"Yes!"
About a dozen Typhoon Fighters detached from the battlefield and began a rapid vertical ascent. In no time, they broke through the thin atmosphere of the Anteverse planet and reached space.
"This is Typhoon, no signs of any large vessels detected yet. The radiation intensity from Betelgeuse is too high; our aircraft cannot sustain it for too long."
"Alternate reconnaissance duties, maintain vigilance at all times," Marcus mused, stroking his chin.
"It seems the Precursor Civilization's strength is not as great as we previously imagined."
The Typhoon Fighters did not detect any Precursor Civilization space battleships.
Either these battleships had just been dispatched elsewhere, or the Precursor Civilization simply did not possess its own space battleships.
Marcus was more inclined towards the latter.
Sure enough, not long after, the Ambassador-class Precursor, which had already been parasitized, was escorted onto the spacecraft by Hank's team.
After controlling the wormhole, this Ambassador-class Precursor was currently the Universal Union's best source of intelligence.
"Make this guy spill all the information about the Precursor Civilization."
Under Krauser's control, the biological membrane on the parasitized Precursor's head opened, revealing its ugly face underneath, and it let out an insect-like cry.
"Eh—! Chirp—! Chirp—!"
Krauser, who had gradually understood the Precursor language by controlling the Precursor, acted as a translator.
Soon, this Ambassador-class Precursor revealed everything it knew.
Everything about the Precursor Civilization and this Anteverse planet.
The Precursor Civilization was indeed glorious.
At the peak of its civilization, over ten thousand planets were terraformed by the Precursor Civilization into environments suitable for its survival.
At least dozens, if not hundreds, of intelligent species were enslaved by the Precursors.
At that time, the Precursors could be considered the overlords of the entire Orion Arm, and even the Milky Way galaxy.
The Precursors once believed that their civilization would continue to prosper forever.
They would use wormholes and advanced biochemical technology to conquer more and more worlds, more and more civilizations.
Until the entire universe was brought under the rule of the Precursor Civilization.
However, as expected, an unexpected destruction befell the Precursor Civilization.
At some point in time, now untraceable, a mysterious virus, targeting only the Precursors, began to spread among the stars.
No one knew how this virus came into being; perhaps it originated from other higher-level civilizations, or perhaps it was an accidental leak from the Precursors' terrifying biological experiments.
This virus would destroy the brain structure of the Precursors; simply put, it would turn them into 'idiots'.
This special virus spread at an extremely fast rate through various wormholes.
Soon, almost all the Precursors were transformed into 'idiots' by the virus.
True destruction followed.
The Precursors could no longer comprehend their once peak biological technology, nor could they create new wormholes.
Even with the most detailed information laid out before them, the Precursors could not understand its meaning.
The lifespan of an individual Precursor was very long; they had extensively modified themselves, with lifespans measured in tens of thousands of years.
But without maintenance, after hundreds of thousands of years, these Precursors, transformed into 'idiots' by the virus, still died.
They died beneath the lingering shadow of their glorious civilization.
For some reason, that special virus could not modify the infant Precursors within the reproductive organs of the maternal Precursors.
The entire Precursor Civilization still retained a glimmer of hope: a new Precursor Civilization was born from the ruins of destruction, and like a blank slate, it slowly absorbed the technology from the ruins, starting its development from scratch.
Therefore, the Precursor Civilization that the Universal Union encounters now has not actually developed for hundreds of millions of years.
Instead, it is a new Precursor Civilization born later from the ruins.
Their development time is only a few million years.
Coupled with the impact of the entire civilizational discontinuity, the technological level of the Precursor Civilization is far from having recovered to its peak.
Although they retain all the data about wormholes, they are still unable to create new wormholes, and can only carry out invasion work through the wormholes placed on other planets by the previous Precursor Civilization hundreds of millions of years ago.
Another major reason forcing them to do this is Betelgeuse, which could explode at any moment.
"A lost civilization? It's a bit like the Imperium of Man."
After understanding everything about the current Precursor Civilization, Marcus sighed.
"It's a pity they don't have their own Emperor.
However, even though the Universal Union knows about the tragic past of the Precursor Civilization, it clearly will not stop its destructive advance.
The current Precursor Civilization is not as primitive as the Na'vi; it is an existence that can threaten the Universal Union.
Since war has begun, the Universal Union will see it through to the end.
These xenomorphs will only face the fires of destruction brought by the Universal Union.
In the Pacific Rim World, a colossal Blood Moon was slowly passing through the world portal, then flying towards the region.
This will be the Universal Union's greatest killer.
Using the Blood Moon against the Precursor Civilization, which excels in flesh and blood technology, is simply perfect.
"What is that?! Is it a weapon of the Precursor Civilization?!"
On Earth, the Earth Government, observing the arrival of the Blood Moon, was on high alert.
It's no wonder they would think that.
The Blood Moon, entirely composed of twisted flesh and blood, indeed looked very much like a creation of the Precursor Civilization.
A large number of anti-air missiles were already aimed at the Blood Moon, ready to launch at any moment.
"Calm down, that is an Union weapon."
The Universal Union representative stationed in this region informed the Earth Government.
This made everyone in the Earth Government drop their jaws.
They never imagined that the Universal Union, which appeared to be developing mechanical technology, would possess such a terrifying creation as the Blood Moon, which clearly is biotechnology.
This made the Earth Government realize even more profoundly the unfathomable depth of the Universal Union.
The Blood Moon began to break through the atmosphere, flying towards the wormhole that had already risen above the sea level.
Although the current diameter of the wormhole is only five hundred meters, far smaller than the Blood Moon, which has a diameter of three kilometers.
But for the Blood Moon, which can freely control its own flesh and blood, it only needs to slightly change its form to pass through easily.
A mass of twisted flesh and blood wriggled, and the originally spherical Blood Moon quickly transformed into a cuboid structure, similar to Olympus Mons, with a width just enough to pass through the wormhole.
Under the gaze of everyone, the Blood Moon soon completely disappeared into the wormhole.
"The Blood Moon is here."
Inside Olympus Mons, Marcus looked up. Although separated by thick metal, he could still clearly perceive the connection with the Blood Moon.
According to intelligence, the gigantic biological organization covering a hundreds of kilometers in the sky was a living biological organ, crudely created by the current Precursors, to maintain the wormhole's energy supply.
Therefore, Marcus did not let the Blood Moon immediately devour the surrounding massive amounts of flesh and blood.
The ground battlefield was where the Blood Moon should feast.
Under the relentless bombardment of the mech forces and Olympus Mons, nearly ten thousand Precursor giant biological weapons had already turned into corpses.
This flesh and blood would become the nourishment for the Blood Moon's renewed growth.
"Devour to your heart's content."
Marcus temporarily lifted the restrictions on the Blood Moon, allowing it to freely devour everything on the ground.
Whether it was those corpses or the surrounding giant factories made of flesh and blood.
"Buzz—.."
A special radiation pulse, centered on the Blood Moon, rapidly spread outwards.
The radius of its influence reached over a thousand kilometers.
That was a special radiation that could transform living organisms into Necromorphs.
Under the influence of this radiation, the rotting flesh and fragments began to rapidly twist and reorganize.
Finally, they formed giant, grotesque Slashers, each a hundred meters tall.
If the Precursors, when creating giant biological weapons, still incorporated some artistic aesthetics into them.
Then the giant Necromorphs twisted and reassembled by the Blood Moon were utterly terrifying monsters from the depths of hell.
An ordinary person would lose all sanity just by looking at them.
"Roar!"
Within a few minutes, hundreds of giant Slashers appeared, then launched a counter-charge.
The giant Necromorphs and the Precursor giant biological weapons fiercely collided.
Two waves of flesh and blood intertwined and merged.
And the new corpses generated by the brutal combat would become nourishment to breed more giant Slashers.
An increasingly surging wave of Slashers was pushing back countless Precursor giant biological weapons.
Inside the Bishop's Council, the Supreme Bishop's expression was extremely grim.
Through the membrane of flesh and blood before him, he could clearly see the current battle situation beneath the wormhole.
The tens of thousands of giant biological weapons he had awakened using his highest authority had been almost completely destroyed by that damned colossal space carrier.
What terrified the Supreme Bishop, as well as the other Bishops and Cardinals, even more, was the earth-shattering super explosion that had occurred earlier.
They had detected traces of anti-matter.
"This is impossible! How could these monkeys master anti-matter technology so quickly!"
The Supreme Bishop shrieked, his entire body trembling.
A terrible truth was that even the new Precursor Civilization, born after the destruction, had not mastered anti-matter technology, let alone weaponized it.
Due to various reasons, over the past few million years of its rebirth, the Precursors had leaned more towards researching biochemical technology.
There were two reasons.
Firstly, Betelgeuse constantly emitted deadly radiation, and biochemical technology could better help the new Precursor Civilization to survive.
Secondly, it was the eternal life sought by every sentient being.
Thanks to his superb biochemical technology, the Supreme Bishop had lived for tens of thousands of years and still maintained his youth.
Not only him, but even the lower-ranking Cardinals and Ambassadors had all lived for thousands of years.
"Perhaps, those invading us are not the low-level Earthlings, but a higher-level civilization."
A Cardinal proposed a conjecture.
This idea gained much approval from the Precursors.
According to the data they had collected from the former Precursor Civilization, there were several species and civilizations within the Orion Arm alone that had once been enslaved by the former Precursor Civilization.
There were even more species and civilizations in other arms of the Milky Way.
It was not impossible for a higher-level civilization to suddenly appear and discover the wormhole on Earth.
"No matter what, we must do our utmost to eliminate these invaders!"
Just as the Supreme Bishop let out an angry shriek, the Blood Moon suddenly descended upon the membrane of light before him.
Although the council was far away on the other side of the Anteverse planet, all the Precursors present could clearly feel the life-threatening pressure emanating from that Blood Moon.
"W-what is that?"
A Cardinal trembled, uttering a fearful question.
And then, the Blood Moon proved with its actions that the Universal Union's power was far more than just a space carrier and a few Anti-matter Bombs.
Innumerable terrifying giant Slasherss suddenly emerged from the Slashers mass, each possessing combat power sufficient to rival or even exceed the Category 5 Kaiju designated by the Pacific Rim World's Earth.
Furthermore, these giant Necromorphs were almost impossible to kill, no matter how severe the damage they sustained.
Even if they were disemboweled, their putrid organs spilling onto the ground, even if their spines were torn and their hearts stopped beating.
These giant Slasherss continued to let out terrifying roars, slicing through everything in front of them with their pale, giant bone blades, and converting the opposing Precursor biological weapons into more Necromorphs.
"This is impossible! This is impossible!!"
Within just half an hour, the Supreme Bishop had shrieked the same meaning countless times.
"This kind of flesh and blood technology, even during the most glorious period of our Precursor Civilization, could not be easily achieved."
Twisting flesh and blood out of thin air, rapidly reorganizing it to form virtually immortal biological weapons.
These only existed in the ancient textual records of the former Precursor Civilization.
The Supreme Bishop plunged into unprecedented madness.
"Activate all biological weapons, and drown those damned invaders!"
Below the Olympus Mons, the Jaeger forces, which had been continuously firing, ceased their attacks.
For no other reason than that there was nothing left for them to do.
The Blood Moon and the Necromorphs had already completely taken over the battlefield.
"Is that the Universal Union's secret weapon?"
The pilots from the Earth Government were stunned. They had originally thought that the Olympus Mons was the Universal Union's greatest support.
But they hadn't expected a planet made entirely of flesh and blood to appear above them.
"That thing is called the Blood Moon."
Isaac suddenly cut into the channel.
"Run self-diagnostics. The battle will end soon. The Precursor Civilization is about to be finished."
Isaac's words sounded exaggerated, but they were true.
The Precursor Civilization, skilled in flesh and blood technology, encountering the Blood Moon and the god seal, was like a lamb entering a tiger's den.
No matter how many giant biological weapons the Precursors awakened, or how many biological turrets they aimed at the Slashers tide.
They could not stop the Slashers tide from spreading rapidly.
Besides creating Necromorphs.
The massive number of turrets and missile launchers installed on the Blood Moon also unleashed dozens of times more terrifying firepower than the Olympus Mons.
Smoke and war covered everything.
"This might be the first civilization to be destroyed by the Universal Union."
Inside the bridge of the Olympus Mons, Marcus sighed as he watched the fierce battlefield below.
Shaking his head, Marcus looked at Alex beside him.
"Has the coordinate location of the Precursor Civilization's Bishop's Council been confirmed?"
"The Typhoon Fighter squadron has locked onto the target."
"Then let's begin the hyperspace jump."
The Ambassador Precursor, who had been parasitized by the Superior Plaga, had already revealed the location of the Bishop's Council, and the Typhoon Fighter squadron had long since locked onto the target from outside the atmosphere.
As long as they destroyed the high-ranking Precursors in the Bishop's Council in one fell swoop, the Precursor Civilization would immediately collapse.
Those uncontrolled giant biological weapons would also no longer pose a threat.
"Hyperspace jump countdown begins. All units prepare.
10, 9, 8 —. 3, 2, 1!
Countdown ended, and a blue hyperspace jump entrance appeared before the Olympus Mons.
The hyperspace jump engine activated, and the Olympus Mons entered.
Almost instantly, the Olympus Mons exited hyperspace jump state.
"Arrived at target location. Begin bombing immediately!"
The Olympus Mons, having completed its hyperspace jump, appeared above the magnificent Precursor Bishop's Council, which was composed of flesh, blood, and rock.
Several high-yield Anti-matter penetration bombs were air-dropped.
They drilled into the thick flesh and blood covering the surface, then broke through all obstacles along the way, drilling underground.
"Are those the invaders!? How could they appear here!?"
Inside the Bishop's Council, all the Precursors looked up at the suddenly appearing Olympus Mons.
They had never imagined that the Universal Union would locate their coordinates so quickly and directly hyperspace jump over using superluminal travel technology.
A few seconds ago, they were still fantasizing about drowning the enemy with giant biological weapons from an entire planet.
Now, the Universal Union had brought the destructive rain of fire directly over their heads.
"Boom! Rumble!!!"
The high-yield Anti-matter Bombs, which had drilled underground, began to explode.
An incredibly enormous void was forming.
The Bishop's Council, which had originally reached to the sky, began to tremble and collapse downwards.
Inside the Precursor Bishop Council, the dying screams of the Precursors echoed everywhere.
The Bishop Council, several meters high, collapsed at an astonishing speed.
The hard exoskeleton armor covering these high-ranking Precursors could not protect them from the geological disasters caused by the Anti-matter Bomb.
The significantly atrophied membranes on their hands were clearly unable to provide the Precursors with the ability to fly or glide.
"Drop a few more bombs down there, clean it up thoroughly."
On the bridge of the Olympus Mons, Marcus said indifferently.
After understanding the history and past of the Precursor Civilization, Marcus knew that.
Whether it was the former Precursor Civilization or the current New Precursor Civilization, the root of their society was unrestrained colonization and expansion.
This philosophy was completely contrary to the Universal Union's.
Furthermore, Earth in the Pacific Rim World was already a member of the Universal Union.
Therefore, the Precursor Civilization, which enjoyed enslaving other civilizations, would only face complete destruction.
A few more conventional Anti-matter Bombs were deployed.
Completely annihilating the Precursor Bishop Council.
All the high-level management of the Precursor Civilization instantly perished.
The impact of this was immense.
No new Precursor giant biological weapons were awakened from the biological factories.
On the battlefield below the wormhole.
After only a short while, the giant Slasherss overwhelmed the Precursor giant biological weapons that no longer had support.
"The war is over!!!"
The news of victory spread rapidly like wildfire.
"The war is over?"
This dreamlike news left the Jaeger pilots from the Earth Government unable to fully comprehend for a moment.
"The war is over?"
Raleigh, piloting a fifth-generation Jaeger, was still repeating the question.
He couldn't believe that the once invincible Precursor Civilization, which had plagued Earth for over a decade through the wormhole, was defeated so easily.
Not just him, but the Hansens, Mako Mori, and others also couldn't believe it.
It wasn't until a large number of Union spacecraft landed on the ground and began constructing various buildings on site that they finally reacted.
The battle with the Precursor Civilization was truly over.
After the highest-ranking Precursors in the Bishop Council died.
The entire planet was left with only Ambassador-level Precursors, and lower-level Precursor soldiers and Precursor civilians.
This caused extreme chaos in the chain of command.
The Precursor Civilization, originally united under the Bishop Council, began to collapse.
The remaining Precursors were completely unable to hinder the Universal Union's advance in the slightest.
"Clean up the entire planet, and also, collect all the stored data of the Precursor Civilization; the wormhole manufacturing technology is of utmost importance.

"Four chances to draw, two group buff titles, not bad."
Looking at the series of prompts that popped up on the system panel, Marcus was quite satisfied.
In addition, the title "Proof of Leadership · Universal Union" also gained a new buff effect because the Pacific Rim World's Earth Government joined the Universal Union.
"Infrastructure Maniac"
Buff Effect: Universal Union's infrastructure construction speed is increased by fifty percent, and construction quality is increased by thirty percent.
"Wow, such a high bonus."
Marcus's eyes lit up. The "Infrastructure Maniac" buff effect was excellent, especially useful for the colonization efforts on Kadaku.

Mission Objective 2: Successfully uncover the truth behind the demise of the former Precursor Civilization. Reward: Draw Chance x1, Title: 'History Seeker'.]
"What is this? System, are you starting to play riddles too?"
Looking at the Phase 2 mission objectives, Marcus found it a bit strange.
This was the first time the system panel had given such enigmatic mission objectives.
"The truth of their demise, it seems there's an unknown secret behind the Precursor Civilization's historical gap."
Shaking his head, Marcus muttered.
"Never mind, I'll just have people collect historical data of the Precursor Civilization while they're gathering technological data."
Although the Precursor Civilization had a completely rigid class system, with all wealth and power concentrated in the hands of the Bishop Council.
Perhaps due to experiencing the destruction and rebirth of their civilization, the current Precursor Civilization placed great emphasis on recording history and preserving it in the form of memories within biological libraries.
"Neural interface connected, data transfer in progress."
Hundreds of kilometers away from the now-ruined Bishop Council, in the magnificent biological library.
Several Union teams were carrying special equipment to perform data transfer work.
The so-called special equipment was actually a neural interface developed by the Universal Union through research on Blood Moon, Eva, and the Jaeger control interfaces of the Pacific Rim World, among other technologies.
This interface could directly read data and memories stored within biological cells and convert them into text information or images.
"There's too much data; the transfer will take at least one hundred hours."
The technician operating the neural interface said, looking at the progress on the screen, which hadn't even reached one percent.
The team leader frowned.
"That long?"
"This place contains millions of years of history and technological data of the entire Precursor Civilization, as well as some historical records preserved from hundreds of millions of years ago."
The technician explained.
"Once the entire Precursor Civilization is destroyed, this will be the last trace of the Precursor Civilization left in the universe."
"Speed it up. I'll call the Olympus Mons to air-drop more troops for support."
Since the high-ranking Precursors had been eliminated, and the remaining lower-level Precursors had all fallen apart.
This resulted in a large number of small and medium-sized biological weapons, originally confined in laboratories, being unleashed and rampaging across the entire planet.
Even the Precursor soldiers and civilians were targets of these biological weapons.
Of course, these small and medium-sized biological weapons were not a big problem for the Universal Union.
It wouldn't take much time for the Universal Union to complete the cleanup operation.
The news of the successful wormhole raid and the defeat of the Precursor Civilization spread like wildfire throughout the entire Pacific Rim World, Earth. The news came so suddenly that billions of people were caught almost completely off guard.
For the past decade or so, the entire Earth had only been able to passively endure attacks.
Yet, the Universal Union, in just about a year, completely turned the tide.
Anyone with eyes could see just how terrifying the Universal Union's power truly was. "This day is worth remembering for everyone, including our descendants, to commemorate our great friendship with the Universal Union, and to commemorate that we have finally completely defeated the Precursor Civilization!"
The Earth Government specifically designated the day of the raid as a memorial day.
This will be one of the most important days in human history, if not the most important.
Meanwhile,
The word "Union" has become synonymous with "savior" in the eyes of billions on Earth.
"I never thought we'd actually make it back alive."
Raleigh, Mako Mori, the the Hansens, and other jaeger pilots from the Earth Government were gathered, marveling that they had survived the astonishing battle.
Old Hansen looked complicated, caressing a photo of his deceased wife in his hand, and finally let out a long sigh.
"This is all because of the Universal Union."
Even though they were piloting the latest fifth-generation jaegers, in a battlefield of that caliber, a moment of carelessness could instantly lead to the destruction of the jaeger and the death of the pilot.
They only withstood the first wave of attacks from the Precursor giant biological weapons; subsequent efforts were mostly by the Universal Union's jaeger forces.
"Yes, this is all because of the Universal Union."
As they were lamenting, Isaac walked over.
"Are you interested in joining the Universal Union?"
Isaac asked directly.
This blunt question immediately stunned everyone.
Isaac smiled.
"The Precursor Civilization has been defeated. In the Earth Government, you jaeger pilots no longer have a role to play. The vast expanse of the stars is your true calling. The Universal Union never lacks enemies."
Training skilled jaeger pilots with extensive combat experience is extremely difficult, which is why Isaac invited them to join the Universal Union.
Seeing their hesitation, Isaac pressed on.
"Joining the Universal Union doesn't mean you can never return to Earth. When you don't have missions, you can still stay here. Moreover, if you don't wish to engage in life-or-death battles anymore, you can become instructors for training new jaeger pilots."
The conditions Isaac offered were highly tempting, and the Universal Union was their benefactor who helped them avenge their great hatred. They could hardly refuse and quickly made their choices.
"General Stacker, the Precursor Civilization has been defeated by the Universal Union. We believe the PPDC no longer needs to exist."
Inside the Hong Kong jaeger base, Stacker was on a call with high-ranking officials from the Earth Government.
"This is not burning bridges. We hope you understand that maintaining a large jaeger force is very resource-intensive. We should currently focus all our efforts on rebuilding the infrastructure that has been destroyed over the past decade."
After a long silence, Stacker was about to speak when a communication from the Universal Union suddenly cut in.
Alex appeared on the screen.
"the Universal Union will take over the PPDC entirely, as well as all Earth Government jaegers, jaeger pilots, and various supporting facilities and personnel.
The Precursor Civilization has indeed been defeated, but the Universal Union never lacks enemies. Continuing to let the PPDC shine for the Universal Union is the most appropriate path."
The Earth Government officials clearly hadn't expected the Universal Union to get involved.
However, in the end, for the Earth Government, this was actually a good thing.
These jaeger pilots are now heroes who saved humanity and Earth.
If they were to truly disband the PPDC and a large number of jaegers, it would indeed appear like burning bridges to the outside world, and public opinion would be very unfavorable to the regional government.
"the Universal Union will convert these jaegers into contribution points, recorded under the Earth Government."
"Thank you very much, Ms. Alex."
For both the Earth Government and the Universal Union, this was a win-win.
General Stacker looked at Alex and asked in a deep voice.
"The Precursor Civilization has been defeated. What other enemies do you still have?"
"You will know, General Stacker. Krorks, Tyranids, Imperium of Man, Necron, the Universal Union still has many enemies..."
"Betelgeuse is too unstable. No wonder the Precursor Civilization thought about terraforming and colonizing other planets."
On Planet Anteverse, Union scientists are conducting in-depth research on Betelgeuse, this red supergiant star.
In addition to the stellar observation team studying Betelgeuse, another group is responsible for researching the physiological structure of the Precursors themselves, and another group is researching the history of the Precursor Civilization.
And most importantly, research into the Precursor Civilization's wormhole technology.
"The New Precursor Civilization itself can no longer create new wormholes. The wormhole leading to Earth was left by the Former Precursor Civilization hundreds of millions of years ago. What the New Precursor Civilization did was merely power it and control it to a limited extent."
Currently, on Planet Anteverse, besides the wormhole leading to Earth, there are two other wormholes leading to lifeless planets.
the Universal Union has already sent people to conduct initial reconnaissance on the other side and found that it has been highly modified by the Precursor Civilization.
"Our attack timing was just right. If we had waited a bit longer, the Precursor Civilization might have collectively relocated to the other two planets."
On the Olympus Mons, the research team was reporting to Marcus.
"We have obtained all research data and manufacturing data regarding wormholes recorded by the New Precursor Civilization. As we predicted before, the wormholes created by the Former Precursor Civilization are, in principle, fixed warp drives."
"How much time will it take to replicate?"
Marcus was more concerned about whether the Universal Union could master wormhole manufacturing technology.
"Well, you should know that with scientific and technological matters like this, no one can say for sure. However, based on preliminary observations, the principle of wormholes has some similarities with the warp engine of the Olympus Mons. We might be able to research and replicate both simultaneously."
Marcus nodded, then approved the wormhole research team's request.
After ending the conversation with the research team, Marcus called Alex.
"We can begin environmental modification and colonization of the planets behind the other two wormholes. The Universal Union urgently needs territory and more resources."
With the "Infrastructure Maniac" buff, the speed of colonization will be greatly accelerated.
"Also, it's time to tell the Earth Government the truth about the existence of other worlds."
