Today was the day to begin magic lessons. In the morning, I went to the designated classroom.
When I stepped inside, I didn't see anyone there. So I sat in the nearest chair, took out a book I'd borrowed from the library, and began reading.
After a few pages, I heard footsteps approaching from outside toward this room.
With the creak of the door, I saw Haru rush in. She came up to me and spoke excitedly.
"Fixl-san, Fixl-san, look! Look at this!"
It was surprising. What Haru showed me was her hand, glowing with light. I could feel warmth from that glow—I guessed this was her power.
"I don't know what happened, but when I woke up, my hand was already like this without me realizing it."
"Are there any strange symptoms you've felt?"
"No, I don't feel anything... ah, actually, somehow I feel like I can control this light. I'll try it out."
"H-hey! W-wait!"
I was startled by her words, and when I tried to stop her, it was already too late.
The light gathered in Haru's palm, forming a ball.
Seeing this, Haru quickly tossed it upward, and the light ball floated slowly, like a bubble.
I immediately stood in front of Haru, ready in case something happened with that light ball... but after a while, it began to fade away as if it had run out of energy.
Phew, thank goodness nothing bad happened. I turned to Haru with a smile.
"Eh? Umm... w-well... hehe."
Noticing my gaze, Haru nervously tried to say something, but in the end only smiled with a regretful look.

When Fujita woke up, he felt something different in himself. As he saw the servant entering his room, he was startled to see something emitting a blue light from the servant's chest—upon closer inspection, it looked like a small flame burning inside the servant's body.
"What are you doing?"
"Eh? I-I'm here to prepare your needs for this morning. What's wrong, sir? Do you want something?"
"No, it's nothing! You can continue your work!"
From the servant's reaction, Fujita was certain they weren't the cause. Thinking about it, he suddenly remembered his ability.
Could it be because of that?
In a hurry, Fuji got ready to head to today's training room—maybe the others had experienced something similar.
On the way to magic training, Fujita realized he could control this vision by focusing his mind—it would activate or deactivate at will.
So he carefully observed every creature he saw. He noticed that people emitted light from their bodies in various colors, and even the birds he saw had them too.
When he arrived at the classroom, Fujita saw Renaldi leaning in front of the room, looking like he was waiting for someone. Fujita could also see a blue light glowing from Renaldi's chest.
Approaching him, Fujita asked,
"What are you doing, Renaldi-san? Are you waiting for someone?"
Seeing someone speak to him, Renaldi looked and replied,
"Oh, Fujita-san. No, I'm not waiting for anyone... it's nothing, you can go in first, I'll follow later."
"Alright then, I'll go in first."
Saying that, Fujita looked at him with slight confusion and entered the room.
Inside, aside from Renaldi and Magnus, everyone was already present. Fujita even spotted someone unexpected—Adelia Bel Forgh, the 13-year-old second princess of Cyrus. Was she also joining this training? Fujita noticed she too emitted a blue light.
Seeing Fujita arrive, Fixl approached and greeted him.
"Good morning, Fujita."
"Oh, good morning, Fi—huh???"
Hearing Fixl's greeting, Fujita looked at him and responded, but midway, something strange happened.
Fujita saw nothing from Fixl—he didn't emit light like the other living beings.
Fujita looked around to confirm if his ability was inactive, but since others still emitted light, he was sure the strange one here was Fixl.
Sensing Fujita's confusion, Fixl asked,
"What's wrong, Fujita?"
"It's nothing, I was just thinking about something."
Hearing that, Fixl didn't press further and instead asked about someone who hadn't arrived yet.
"By the way, have you seen Renaldi?"
"When I came, he was already in front of the room."
"Why hasn't he come in?"
"No idea."
Bamm
At that moment, the door suddenly swung open with a loud noise.
Everyone saw it was Renaldi. Under their collective gaze, he stood at the doorway for a few seconds, surveying the room, then stepped in slowly with a sharp look.
Without saying a word, Renaldi walked straight to the back corner seat and sat down.
He leaned his head on his hand, staring at the wall beside him.

From the moment Renaldi appeared, we could only watch him in silence.
After glancing at him briefly, I returned my attention to Fujita.
When he entered, it felt like he was observing each person, and when his gaze fell on me, he had a doubtful expression—though it returned to normal quickly, I was sure something was off.
After Haru arrived, I learned that Kushida and Agatha had also awakened their abilities like Haru had.
Agatha showed us she could store objects in thin air and retrieve them again like a trick—it was strikingly similar to my storage ring.
Then when Kushida demonstrated her ability, something crazy happened—she suddenly cut her finger with a knife that appeared from nowhere. Seeing her do that shocked us, but she just chuckled and said she was fine, then her wounded finger was wrapped in a faint light and healed without leaving a trace.
"Fujita, have you awakened your ability too?"
"Too? Yeah, it seems so, but also... have the others awakened theirs?"
"Yes, except Renaldi, I've heard from everyone... Renaldi, has your ability awakened as well?"
I turned and asked Renaldi about his awakening.
Hearing my question, Renaldi slicked his hair back with one hand and pointed at me with the other.
"In your jacket pocket, there's probably a coin."
[Sensorium Materia]
That was the name of Renaldi's power. After the ability inspection procedure, he told us about it.
It was the ability to detect the location of materials—like sensing stone, iron, bronze, and so on.
"Oooh, true to its name, Sensorium Materia—it's really an amazing ability."
Back to Renaldi demonstrating how it worked, I clapped my hands and praised him, and he looked quite proud hearing it. His ability was truly useful—he could get rich with it.
"So, Fujita, what about your ability?"
"I can see light emanating from every living creature I look at..."
Hearing my question, Fuji explained he could see something glowing from living beings, which he believed to be their souls.
Fujita said the souls he saw emitted different colors depending on their race—humans glowed blue, beastmen purple, and animals white.
Since only those races existed in the castle, he wasn't certain about this classification yet... and although rare, he also mentioned some people and animals whose souls glowed red, which made him even more doubtful about the classification.
"By the way, what's wrong with her?"
Fujita looked at Haru, who was lying on her desk, and asked me about her.
I explained what had happened earlier—Haru showing her power recklessly, and me scolding her afterward.
Fujita couldn't hold back his laughter after I finished. Well... even though Mio had also done something reckless, since she was an adult, I figured she didn't need a lecture.
After chatting with Fujita for a bit, I returned to my seat beside Haru's.
"Hmm???"
As I sat down, I heard a sound of confusion from Fujita.
"What is it, Fujita?"
"It's nothing, I'm just thinking about something."

"Before we begin the lesson—although you may already know—I will introduce these two people who will also guide you in your training."
It seemed Magnus wasn't the only one teaching us.
In front of us, besides Magnus, stood a man and a girl we had met before.
Wearing knight armor, the black-haired, narrow-eyed man introduced himself.
"We've met before, but I haven't properly introduced myself. My name is Keil, one of the three personal guards of the King of Jatumheim. In this class, I will guide you in using AURA."
After Keil's introduction, the girl spoke.
"My name is Anna, a priestess from the church. I will guide you in using holy magic and support magic."
I didn't know what "AURA" meant, but as for holy and support magic—from the sound of it, Anna seemed to be here specifically for Haru and Kushida.
"Well then, now that introductions are over, let's begin the class."
With Magnus's words, the lesson began.
