Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Seireitei Academy!

Chapter 25: The Seireitei Academy!

Juwamon Gate, District 1 of South Rukongai.

Abarai Renji and Rukia gazed at the towering Seireitei Wall, so tall they had to crane their necks, and the Juwamon Gate, almost as high as the Seireitei Wall, their faces showing clear signs of shock.

Gilgamesh, however, remained expressionless.

While the Seireitei Wall was indeed a marvel, Gilgamesh had witnessed countless divine miracles during the Age of Gods in Type-Moon, according to his memories.

The Seireitei Wall before him was simply not enough to stir any ripples in his heart.

Gilgamesh stepped forward and addressed Big Giant, the gatekeeper: "Hello, we wish to take the Central Spiritual Arts Academy Seireitei Academy. Please open the gate for us."

In the world of Shinigami, the tallest person Gilgamesh had encountered so far was the Big Giant standing before him.

Even Ōmaeda Marechiyo, who stood at 2.1 meters, looked like a small child in front of Big Giant.

Gilgamesh estimated Big Giant's height to be almost 10 meters, or about three stories tall.

Gilgamesh truly wondered what Big Giant had eaten to grow so tall in a place like Rukongai; he was completely a giant.

Big Giant scrutinized Gilgamesh, Abarai Renji, and Rukia.

Big Giant could roughly guess the circumstances of Abarai Renji and Rukia from their attire and demeanor.

But Big Giant couldn't quite figure out Gilgamesh's situation.

This was because Gilgamesh was wearing exquisite Uruk-style attire, completely different from the Soul Society's fashion.

Besides that, there was Gilgamesh's appearance and the naturally noble aura he exuded.

Big Giant wondered if it was his imagination, but he even felt that the high-ranking nobles residing within the Seireitei did not possess such a noble demeanor as Gilgamesh.

Perhaps only the exalted Four Great Noble Clans could cultivate such a noble temperament.

Thinking this, a kind smile involuntarily appeared on Big Giant's usually cold face, and he spoke: "Of course, but according to regulations, I need to register your information first."

"May I ask, what are your names? And where are you from?"

As he spoke, Big Giant pulled out a booklet and a pen from his embrace, waiting to register them.

Upon hearing this, Abarai Renji immediately said impatiently: "My name is Abarai Renji, and I am from the Kingdom of Uruk!"

Big Giant listened and registered, repeating: "Abarai Renji, from Uru—."

As he registered up to this point, Big Giant suddenly reacted, as if doubting his own ears, and looked at Abarai Renji with disbelief, asking: "What kingdom?"

Abarai Renji was about to speak again when Rukia covered his mouth.

Abarai Renji tried to struggle, then heard Rukia's hushed voice in his ear: "Renji, did you forget? We can't mention the Kingdom of Uruk to outsiders yet. Do you want to cause trouble for the King?"

His body trembled slightly, and Abarai Renji clearly remembered, no longer struggling.

Immediately after, Rukia smiled at Big Giant and said: "It's Hōkō, we are from Hōkō in District 78 of South Rukongai."

Although Big Giant was puzzled, he knew about Hōkō, so he picked up his pen and began to register again.

But the moment he wrote down 'Hōkō,' Big Giant's face suddenly showed a look of astonishment.

Hōkō? He was actually from Hōkō in District 78 of South Rukongai?

Here, 'he' naturally referred to Gilgamesh.

Big Giant was not surprised that Abarai Renji and Rukia were from Hōkō.

But for Gilgamesh to also be from Hōkō, that was simply unbelievable to him.

However, Big Giant didn't ask further; he simply concocted a melodramatic drama in his mind: 'A noble's illegitimate son returns against all odds, crushing the legitimate heir along the way.'

In his heart, Big Giant couldn't help but anticipate, secretly thinking: 'Perhaps, soon this young man will stir up waves in the Seireitei.'

What Big Giant didn't know was that everything he thought was perceived by Gilgamesh through the All-Knowing and Almighty Star, and a look of speechlessness flashed across his face.

After smoothly passing through Juwamon Gate, led by Yoruichi Shihouin, Gilgamesh and his group finally arrived at the Central Spiritual Arts Academy.

Because they had calculated the time precisely, it was now exactly the registration period for the Central Spiritual Arts Academy Seireitei Academy.

At this moment, a long line had already formed at the registration point.

Whether dressed simply or splendidly, all the young men and women queued obediently; no one dared to cause trouble here.

And Gilgamesh, cradling a black cat, caused a commotion upon his arrival.

"Oh my god, that golden-haired, red-eyed young man is so tender and handsome, exactly my type!"

"It's over, why do I feel like it's love at first sight? I'm going to fall!"

"Hey, Jimu, wake up, you're a man! Damn it, you're not a southerner, are you?!"

"Hear my explanation, of course I'm not—"

"No need to explain, me too. We can't reach that young man, let's just be together! (hug) (pouty kiss)"

"(Tightening his sphincter) (Terrified expression) You… don't come any closer!"

"He must be the son of some noble family. Sigh, this year's admission quota is -1."

"Strange, Ruri, do you know any noble family with golden hair and red eyes?"

"Hmm, I don't know."

Although Abarai Renji and Rukia were used to the commotion caused by Gilgamesh, they were still proud of it.

After all, their King's charm was just that immense.

Gilgamesh, meanwhile, showed no emotional fluctuations and led Abarai Renji and Rukia to the back of the line.

In Gilgamesh's embrace, Yoruichi Shihouin's cat eyes inadvertently glanced at a few spots.

Through the All-Knowing and Almighty Star, Gilgamesh perceived Yoruichi Shihouin's thoughts and knew that Shinigami were lurking in those places.

These Shinigami came from various divisions; they were responsible for maintaining order and also secretly observing this batch of candidates to see if there were any promising talents.

At this time, these Shinigami naturally also noticed Gilgamesh and listed him as a key observation target.

There was no helping it; Gilgamesh was simply too dazzling. Even though many candidates this year came from noble families, they still couldn't overshadow Gilgamesh's brilliance.

It was also because of Gilgamesh's presence that no melodramatic incidents occurred along the way.

Even those noble scions were wary and speculated about Gilgamesh's origins and background.

After queuing for over an hour, it was finally Gilgamesh's turn.

The teacher responsible for registering exam applications saw Gilgamesh for the first time and was momentarily stunned.

However, the teacher had seen much of the world and quickly composed himself. After asking Gilgamesh's age, he helped Gilgamesh register for the exam.

Abarai Renji and Rukia also successfully completed their exam registration.

The next day, the Seireitei Academy began.

The data isn't looking great; I don't know if it'll make it to the trial recommendation.
