In the Western East, nestled between rolling hills and dense forests, lies the small town of Oakhaven. Known for its stunning scenery, vibrant wildflowers, and diverse wildlife, the town captivates anyone who wanders through its cobblestone streets under a brilliant blue sky dotted with wispy clouds.
Kael Vance is a 19-year-old with a scrawny build, long tousled brown hair, and dark brown eyes. He typically wears a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Kael grew up in a small, impoverished town, where he often struggled to make a living. One day, his mother gifted him enough money to buy a ticket for a cruise ship.
As he waited on a bench on the ship's wooden deck, Kael felt excitement and apprehension about the journey ahead. After a while, he finally heard a loud horn sound, echoing across the sky and signaling the start of his adventure.
When the ship lowered the boarding ramp, Kael took a moment to admire the stunning cruise ship. It was a magnificent sight—vibrant and colorful. Once he finished taking in the view, he slowly walked onto the boarding ramp, patiently waiting to hand his ticket to the staff.
A middle-aged woman with long, smooth hair adorned with a ribbon greeted him as he stood in line. She had pretty blue eyes and smiled warmly as she spoke, "Tickets, please." Kael handed over his ticket, and the woman returned it with his room key, number 245. He thanked her with a smile, saying, "Have a good day, madam." The woman bowed and replied, "You too, sir."
Kael moved deeper into the ship, greeted by a lively crowd of people chatting and laughing. As he surveyed his surroundings, he noticed the spacious areas, which included a bar, a dining room, a gym, and a pool. Spotting the various rooms, he slowly walked down the hallway in search of his room number. Ahead of him, he saw a staff member with a mop and a bucket, so he stepped aside and said, "Excuse me, sir."
After several minutes of searching, he eventually found his room. He inserted his key into the door and entered. The room was small, with white wallpaper; it included a bathroom, and the bed was medium-sized. There was a window beside the bed. Kael closed the door and laid his things down. After unpacking for the trip, he sat on the bed, took off his shoes, and lay down, quickly falling asleep for a couple of hours.
Suddenly, lightning struck the ship, producing a loud sound that jolted Kael awake. Disoriented, he exclaimed, "What the hell is happening?" He looked through the window beside the bed and saw dark, ominous clouds. The waves were moving violently, causing the ship to sway from side to side while lightning struck repeatedly across the ocean. In his panic, Kael fell off the bed and hit his head against the wall. "Ah, damn, that hurts! I need to get out of here," he thought. "I have to check on the ship and see if everyone is okay."
As Kael got up, he tried to balance himself to avoid falling again due to the ship rocking violently. He managed to open his door to see what was happening outside. Peering into the hallway while gripping the door frame, Kael saw that people were panicking; they looked scared and worried. He noticed a couple of people crying. One was an elderly woman with dark curly hair and green eyes. She was holding the hand of a frail old man with short gray hair, who seemed to have passed away, blood pooling from his head. The sight terrified Kael.
Looking around to see what else was going on, he suddenly heard a woman crying out in terror and sorrow, shouting, "My baby!" Kael felt an overwhelming sense of fear and sympathy for the grieving mother, realizing that it was too late; her baby was already gone. He knew there was nothing he could do for someone who had already suffered such a loss, but Kael felt a sense of guilt knowing that it could have been him instead of the baby. In a panic, Kael ran to the main lobby of the ship to see if anyone else was in trouble.
As he dashed through the lobby, he saw a massive group of people crowding around a room with debris scattered on the floor, engulfed in flames. One passenger yelled, "Hey, we need to put the fire out; hurry!" Kael dashed toward them and shouted, "What's happening here?" One of the passengers replied, "The captain is trapped in the bridge room! We need as many hands as possible." Kael nodded at the passenger, determination in his eyes. He immediately began collecting water in a bucket.
Several hours passed as everyone fought to save the captain. The fire was finally put out, and everyone started removing debris from the area. Kael insisted on going in first to ensure it was safe. Everyone agreed, and Kael rushed into the bridge room. It was still smoky and charred; he found the captain lying on the ground, his legs pinned under a collapsed locker. Kael quickly lifted the locker off his legs and checked for a pulse. "Ah, thank God he's alive, but I don't know if his legs will let him walk," Kael muttered to himself. He tapped his head, trying to wake him up. Kael expresses a hint of worry for the captain ""Hey, sir, are you okay? Please wake up. We're in danger!" Kael taps his head again. "Hey," The captain began to wake and groan in pain. "Where am I? What's happening? Ah, my legs hurt." Kael looked at him and said, "Sir, you are unconscious due to being hit by a locker. You need to listen. Can you move your legs?" The captain groans again "No I can't feel my legs"
Kael speaks with a little concern in his tone, "I have to carry you, grab onto my shoulder tightly." The captain looks at him and firmly grabs his shoulder. Kael lifts the captain and drags him outside the crowd, where the crowd looks on in panic. Kael sets the captain down. One of the passengers said, "You saved the captain; he's a hero!" The crowd started cheering for Kael. He felt a little flustered, blushed, scratched his head, and grinned. "Ah, thank you!" Another passager says "what your name hero" the second one said "yeah what your name" and the crowd looks at waiting for his response kael opens up and speaks "my name is kael vance" as he was saying of out nowhere, the ship started shaking intensely and violently again, but even more so than ever, The crowd yells in panic as Kael looks around at the ocean to see the massive waves. Kael says "Everyone, calm down! We need to stay composed," one of the passengers urged. But then someone else shouted, "We're all gonna die!" And the another passenger, "Kael Vance, save us." And the crowd was panicking even more. Kael looked scared and frightened, but he wasn't ready to die today. Suddenly, the sky began to tear apart, producing an eerie sound. The tear grew larger and larger, as if it were splitting between two dimensions, and a massive portal opened out of nowhere The portal began to draw everyone toward it kael was frightened and confused he embraced He was unaware of what was about to happen to him, and then everyone got sucked up into the portal.
