As the inter high ended, we lose at the very start of the 1st round, are we that hopeless...?? Is my brother's legacy really over... ?? I wonder what will happen next year... Will my brother get his last chance...??
Beep beep beep...
"Rua Chan... Rua Chan... Honey... wake up.." As her mother shakes her in the bed, she groans as she mumbles, "5 more minutes.." Her mom replied, "Oh honey... You're gonna be late to school, It's already eight in the morning." As Rua heard her mother, She got up fast in the bed and look at her mother with a surprise look. "Eight?! Oh crap, I forgot to set my alarm clock.." As she got out off her bed fast, As her mother looks at her and sighed, "Kids these days.."
As Rua rans out of her, She rans down in the hallway but was stopped by someone calling her name, It was her older brother, Ryuga Hachizawa, "Geez, Why are you in such a rush?" Her brother said as he has toothbrush on his mouth, as he was leaning against the doorway, "Shut up, We're late! And we have to take the train and wait for 30 minutes to arrived ti the school!!" Her brother laugh, "It's still 7 in the morning you moron." He said which made Rua dumbfounded, "Eh? Seven..." Ryuga cross his arms, "Mom.. lied to you again?" As he chuckles with a teasing smirk, As she clenched her fist visibly irritated as she yell "MOM!!"
A while later, Rua and Ryuga were already in their uniform, As they ready to head out of the house. "Mom, we're heading out." Ryuga said as the two leaves the house, heading to the station. As they were in the station, people seems to be ogling Ryuga, they were awed by his height, He was standing at 1.91 meters tall, As the train was about to arrive, someone called the twos name, "Hey, Ryuga Kun, Rua Chan!" The two glances, "Ah, Kyoka san." Ryuga said.
Kyoka chuckled as he rubbed the back of his hair, "Fancy running in to you guys hehe." As
Ryuga chuckle back, "Yeah.." The train arrives shortly as the three entered, still people glancing at Ryuga's height, It was quiet in the ride, As Ryuga spoke up first, "We will make this time.." He said in a serious tone, As Kyoka nodded in agreement, the two were determined to not lose again, As Rua watches the two with their determined look, she couldn't help but feel the same way.
After a 30 minutes ride in the train, and 5 minutes walk from the station to the school, They finally arrived at the school as they headed to the gymnasium as they set up the court, they gathered outside at gate, recruiting some freshmen, as they hand out application forms, since it was the first day of a new school year, As Rua handing out application forms,She noticed a boy who looks familiar, She had seen him before somewhere but couldn't tell when.
A while later, the tryout began as the freshman lined up together as they chatter around, Rua blows her whistle to gather their attention, The freshman blushed on how cute Rua is, But Ryuga clear his throat, "Listen up 1st years! I'm the Team Captain Ryuga Hachizawa!" Ryuga introduced himself with a intimidating voice, As some of the freshman gulps, "I'm Kyoka Mouru, The Vice Captain. Pleasureto wrok with you guys" He said with a cheerful yet polite tone, As the 1st years seems to be amused by his attitude, "I'm Rua Hachizawa, The Team's Manager." As the freshman yet blush again, As Ryuga cleared his throat, "That's my sister.. you morons.." He said, As they averted their gaze away from Rua, Feeling intimidated of Ryuga, "Anyways, Tell me about yourself, your name, age, height and your position?" As the freshman started introducing themselves.
One of the freshman caught Ryuga's attention, "My name's Hayata Kuzo, I'm 15, I'm 1.96 meters tall, I'm a Center.", Ryuga was surprised about his height, and their was someone younger towering him.
As the other freshman were shocked about his height, Ryuga who play both power forward and center, was amazed that he finally find someone who could take his place as a center,
As the introduction was over, the freshman was doing some drills, and Kuzo outperforming all of the freshman, with a 40 meter dash of 4.55 seconds, and a vertical of 44 inches, As Ryuga observed him, he has incredible asset in defensive play, Ryuga thought of him of someone protecting the paint or the rim.
As the scrimmage between the freshman starts, Ryuga can finally watch him play, Kuzo won the tip off, as the game went by, Kuzo was blocking every shots and dominating against the other players both offense and defense, Ryuga surprise by his skills never seen anything so one sided, as the scrimmage comes to an end, the score was 80-31.
Rua writes down Kuzos stats, 21 points, 2 assists, 15 rebounds, and 19 blocks. Both Rua and Ryuga were shocked on what Kuzo puts.
After the first day of the tryout was over, Everyone was going home after a long fay at school, Rua walking home by herself, happened to past by a basketball court,he saw someone shooting around alone, athe guy was wearing a hoodie, As he dribble the ball, and shoot from the three point line, Rua watches the guy play as he shoots around, the guy then did a post move and did the cleanest fadeaway, as the hood come off from the guys head, revealing to be the boy from earlier whom Rua saw, As the ball went through the net, the ball rolled over to the Rua's Foot, As she picked the ball up and bounces it up and down, "Wow, I never knew you could play." She said, As the boy looks at her and ask who she was, which Rua replied, "Relax, I'm a someone from your school, I'm actually a 2nd year." As she toss the ball back to the boy, "I've seen you this morning. You play basketball but I never seen you in practice." Rua ask, as she wonder about it, the boy looks at her, "I never intended to join the basketball team.." He said as he pack his stuff up. Rua curious as she raised an eyebrow, ask why, but the boy just ignored her and walks away off the court. As Rua mumbled "Weird.." As she headed back to her house.
