Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Girl, the Village, and the Shark

Year 1520 – An Island Unknown to Any Map

Warm sunlight spilled over the sprawling jungle, each ray cutting through the canopy like golden blades. The air was thick with humidity, carrying the scent of wildflowers and the distant, almost constant, rumble of titanic creatures moving somewhere beyond the trees.

For nearly two years, this island had been my home — or my prison, depending on perspective. Every day was a test of survival. Every night, a reminder of what I'd lost and what I'd gained. The body I now inhabited wasn't the weak, human one I was born with. No… I was something far greater.

A Saiyan.

Not just any Saiyan — Vegito, with the tail and everything. The kind of being that could turn mountains into dust with a flick of the wrist.

When I first woke here, I had no idea where "here" even was. The animals were massive, the weather wild, the air sharp with life. For a while, I suspected I'd been dumped into the Dragon Ball world… which meant my survival would depend on becoming absurdly strong, absurdly fast. So I trained like a madman. Day after day. Gravity chamber sessions, energy control, ki shaping, every combat style the Daily Login System threw at me — Kame style, advanced Haki training, even the Marine Rokushiki.

And today, I stood at the edge of the jungle, feeling the warm breeze on my skin and the weight of power coiled in every muscle, knowing I could annihilate anything that moved here with less than a thought.

But I still didn't know the world I was in.

That changed when I spotted it — a news bird lazily flapping across the cloudless sky.

I smirked, crouched, and with a low hum of ki, launched myself upward in a blur. The bird squawked in panic as I appeared beside it, snagging the rolled-up newspaper from its satchel before drifting back down.

The front page headline hit me like a freight train.

"Marine Activity in East Blue – Vice Admiral Garp Crushes Don Krieg's Latest Raid"

My eyes went wide.

East Blue?Garp?One Piece?!

I stared at the date printed along the top. Year 1520. Two years before Luffy sets sail.

A slow, disbelieving grin spread across my face. "Oh… oh, this is going to be fun."

The ground trembled as light flared before me, coalescing into something massive. A ship — no, a marvel. Its sleek hull gleamed with silver-blue steel, runes glowing faintly along the sides. Folded wings rested against its flanks, the figurehead a breathtaking dragon-woman, hair flowing like sculpted flame, curves exaggerated in a way that could only be described as "blatant male fantasy."

I let out a low whistle. "Oh yeah… you're mine."

The Heaven's Embrace wasn't just a ship. It could sail the sea, the sky, even dive beneath the waves. Inside, there was a chamber that warped time itself — perfect for training, or… other things.

Still, the ship could wait. My first goal was crystal clear now — recruit my first crewmembers. And I knew exactly where to start.

Cocoyasi Village.

Nami. Nojiko. And Bell-mère.

P.O.V. – MC

I could have flown the ship straight there, but honestly? Flying myself would be faster. The East Blue was tame compared to the Grand Line, so there wasn't much risk of trouble. Besides, I wanted my entrance to be personal.

Two months before Luffy's start. If I did this right, I'd have them on board long before he even left Foosha Village.

And the crew I was going to build? Only the most beautiful women in One Piece. Princesses, minks, warriors, even enemies turned lovers. The biggest, most powerful harem this world had ever seen. And I'd protect them all.

Also… I really wanted to see Sanji's face when he found out.

The flight was relaxing. My ki kept me aloft, a lazy streak of blue cutting across the morning sky. Below, the seas sparkled, dotted with the occasional merchant ship. By sunset, Cocoyasi Island's familiar shape appeared on the horizon — fields of tangerine trees swaying under the wind, the village nestled snugly against the shore.

I descended silently, landing just beyond the village outskirts. The place looked peaceful… on the surface. But the tension was there, in the way people moved quickly, in the absence of laughter.

I knew why. Arlong.

It didn't take long to find the tangerine grove. Rows of trees stretched before me, heavy with ripe fruit. And there she was — Nojiko, her blue hair catching the light, tending to a basket of oranges.

Her eyes lifted to meet mine, and I saw the moment she noticed I wasn't from around here.

"You're new," she said cautiously.

I smiled. "Just passing through. Looking for someone."

Her gaze narrowed. "Who?"

"Nami."

Her posture shifted slightly — protective, wary. "Why?"

Before I could answer, a voice called out from deeper in the grove.

"Nojiko! Who's that?"

Nami stepped into view, orange hair tied back, a small frown on her lips. She scanned me up and down, and I could tell she was already trying to figure me out.

I gave a lazy half-bow. "The man who's going to make your problems disappear."

They exchanged a glance — Nami skeptical, Nojiko curious.

Nami crossed her arms, the skeptical lift of her brow practically screaming I've seen this kind of talk before."Disappear, huh? What are you, some bounty hunter?"

I chuckled. "No. Think of me more as… a problem-solver. And right now, your problem happens to be a certain saw-nosed fishman."

Her eyes hardened. "You know about Arlong?"

"Know him?" I smirked. "I know everything about him. Where he is. What he's done. How much he thinks he's worth. And… exactly how fast I can turn him into sashimi."

Nojiko glanced between us, biting her lip. "You talk big."

"That's because I can back it up."

There was a long, tense silence before Nami spoke again. "Even if you could beat him… what would you want in return?"

"Simple." I let my gaze meet hers without flinching. "You. And Nojiko. And Bell-mère."

They froze. Nami's face darkened. "Bell-mère's dead."

My smile widened slightly. "She won't be for long."

P.O.V. – Nami

This guy was insane. Strong? Maybe. Cocky? Definitely. But Bell-mère… nobody could bring someone back from the dead. And yet… something in his eyes made me hesitate. He wasn't joking.

We walked to the village together. Along the way, I explained — vaguely — that I had my own ship, my own crew plans, and that I intended to make Cocoyasi my first stop. Nami didn't agree. She didn't refuse either. She just said, "If you really can beat Arlong… I'll listen."

That was all I needed.

Night fell, and I made my way alone toward Arlong Park. The moonlight glinted off the tall walls, the sound of drunken fishmen laughter spilling over the gate.

Two guards noticed me as I approached. One — a lanky fishman with an eel-like face — stepped forward. "Who the hell are you?"

"Your worst nightmare."

Before they could react, I moved. To them, I vanished — one moment at the gate, the next behind them. Both collapsed, unconscious, before they even realized I'd struck.

Inside, Arlong sat at a long table piled high with food, surrounded by his crew. The stench of cheap booze and saltwater filled the air. His saw-like nose glinted in the lantern light as he tore into a hunk of meat.

"Who dares—" he started, then froze as I casually strolled into the room, hands in my pockets.

"You're Arlong?" I asked lazily. "Huh. I expected taller."

Murmurs rippled through the crew. Arlong's eyes narrowed. "You've got a death wish, human."

"Human?" I tilted my head. "Oh no, fishface. I'm something else entirely."

He stood, muscles rippling, towering over the table. "I'll give you one chance to leave before I rip you apart."

"Cute," I said, stepping forward. "Here's mine: hand over every beri you've stolen, sign over this village's freedom, and get lost."

The crew roared with laughter. Arlong's grin widened. "Kill him."

They rushed me. Bad idea.

A flicker of movement — my fist crashed into the nearest fishman, sending him sailing through the wall in an explosion of wood and dust. The next was swept aside with a spinning kick, his body skipping across the water outside like a stone.

By the time the dust settled, the room was silent. Arlong's grin had vanished.

"You're… no ordinary human," he growled.

"Now you're getting it."

I moved. One instant, across the room. The next, in front of him. My palm met his chest, and a burst of ki sent him crashing through three walls, skidding across the courtyard.

He staggered to his feet, snarling. "You think—"

"Shut up." I didn't even bother to throw a punch this time. I just let my ki flare — the pressure alone dropped him to his knees. His crew groaned, crushed under the weight of my aura.

From the corner of my eye, I spotted another figure approaching — a tall, rat-faced Marine officer in a ridiculous hat. Nezumi.

Perfect.

P.O.V. – MC

I hate Nezumi. Always have. Always will. He's the kind of smug little parasite that deserves to be punted into the sun.

He opened his mouth to say something about "Marine jurisdiction," and I cut him off by grabbing him by the collar and literally hurling him into the ocean.

"Enjoy the swim, rat-boy!"

Arlong lay in a heap. His crew was out cold. The villagers were gathering at the gates now, eyes wide with disbelief.

Nami stepped forward, trembling. "You… you actually did it."

"Told you I would."

I reached into my pocket and withdrew a small, glowing capsule. Popped it open. Light spilled out, coalescing into a strange, ornate device.

"What is that?" Nojiko asked softly.

"Something that's going to make good on my other promise."

I placed the device on the ground. Energy surged, and a figure began to form — first a silhouette, then details. Short purple hair. A confident smirk. Warm eyes.

Bell-mère.

P.O.V. – Bell-mère

One second, darkness. The next, light — blinding light, and the smell of tangerines. And then… two familiar faces staring at me with tears in their eyes.

"Nojiko? Nami?" My voice cracked. "Am I… dreaming?"

They crashed into her, arms tight, sobbing. I gave them their moment. After all, even I'm not enough of an ass to interrupt this.

When Bell-mère finally looked up at me, there was both gratitude and suspicion in her gaze. "You brought me back?"

"Yeah. Name's [MC's name]. And I've got an offer for you."

She tilted her head. "What kind of offer?"

"To join my crew. You, your daughters, and anyone else who wants to sail free."

She studied me for a long moment, then smiled. "You've got guts, kid. Alright… I'm in."

The party that followed lasted until dawn. Food, drink, laughter — the kind of pure joy you only get when chains are broken. I made sure everyone ate their fill, told stories, and even let slip a few hints about my flying ship, which had the villagers buzzing.

By the time the sun rose, Nami, Nojiko, and Bell-mère were standing on the dock with me, bags packed, ready to board the Heaven's Embrace.

Our journey had just begun.

Cocoyasi Village – Midnight

The music was wild, the air thick with the smell of grilled fish and citrus from freshly squeezed tangerine drinks. Villagers danced barefoot in the packed dirt square, lanterns strung between the trees bathing everything in a warm orange glow.

I leaned against a post, a half-finished mug in hand, just watching. I'd been to parties before — in my old world and in the two years on the island when I'd celebrated solo victories with a bonfire and whatever meat I'd hunted that day. But this? This was different.

This was freedom being tasted for the first time in eight years.

Bell-mère laughed with Genzo near the main table, arm around Nami's shoulder like she was never gone. Nojiko twirled to the beat with some of the younger villagers, moving with that carefree grace of someone who no longer had to count every coin in fear of losing it to Arlong's "tribute."

I took a slow sip, letting the scene burn into memory.

P.O.V. – Nojiko

I kept catching myself glancing at him. This… stranger. No, not stranger — savior. He didn't carry himself like anyone I'd met before. There was strength there, yes, but also a kind of playful calm, like everything was under control and he had all the time in the world.

When he caught me looking, he smirked and tipped his mug slightly in my direction. I rolled my eyes but didn't look away.

"Oi, mystery man!" Bell-mère's voice cut through the music. She was already tipsy, cheeks flushed. "You didn't just save my girls — you've somehow roped them into sailing with you?"

"Roped?" I grinned. "I prefer invited. And you said yes too, remember?"

She shrugged. "Fair enough. But you better have a damn good ship if you're gonna keep up with my standards."

"Oh," I said, letting the grin widen. "I think you'll be impressed."

The food kept coming. Roasted boar, fried fish, baskets of bread, fresh tangerines, and even a few bottles of aged rum that had been hidden away for "a special occasion." Nami sat beside me at one point, setting a plate down.

"You're not from around here," she said plainly.

"Nope."

"And you're not telling us where you are from."

"Nope."

Her lips pressed into a thin line. "You realize how suspicious that is, right?"

"Probably," I admitted. "But if it helps, I've got no intention of hurting you. In fact, I'll protect you from anything this world throws your way. You and your sister. And Bell-mère."

She studied me, eyes narrowing slightly. "Why?"

"Because I like you," I said without hesitation. "And because I can."

Her cheeks colored faintly before she stood up abruptly. "You're impossible."

The night went on, a comfortable mix of laughter, music, and teasing remarks. At one point, Bell-mère started arm wrestling the men in the village, taking bets on who could last longer against her. I may have "accidentally" brushed her hand during a mock handshake before the match — the way her brow twitched told me she caught it.

By the time the first hints of dawn painted the sky pink, the square was littered with empty mugs, half-finished plates, and people dozing in chairs or on blankets.

I stood, stretching. "Alright, ladies. Time to go."

Dockside – Sunrise

Nami, Nojiko, and Bell-mère stood in a row, each with a single bag slung over their shoulder. Their expressions ranged from excited to wary.

"Where's your ship?" Nojiko asked.

"You're standing on the dock for a reason," I said, smirking.

With a flick of my wrist, I tossed a capsule onto the water. It popped with a burst of white smoke — and when it cleared, the Heaven's Embrace loomed over the pier. Wings folded against the sides, runes glowing faintly, the dragon-woman figurehead's hair flowing as if moved by a breeze that didn't exist.

Gasps erupted from the villagers still gathered.

Nami's mouth fell open. "What… is that?"

"Our home," I said simply.

Bell-mère whistled low. "Well, you weren't kidding."

We boarded, the gangway automatically extending to meet the dock. Inside, the air was cool and faintly perfumed with something floral. The polished floors gleamed, walls adorned with intricate carvings. A faint hum thrummed beneath our feet — the ship was alive in a way normal vessels weren't.

"This… is insane," Nojiko murmured, running her fingers along the wall.

I guided them through the grand hall, past the kitchen (larger than most taverns) and into the living quarters — each with its own private bath and bed big enough to sleep diagonally in luxury.

Nami inspected one of the rooms, eyes widening at the walk-in closet. "You have closets on a ship?"

"Why wouldn't I?" I replied. "You're going to need space for all the treasure you're going to steal."

She smirked despite herself.

Training Chamber

I saved the best for last. The door slid open to reveal a vast white space, the gravity chamber's systems already online.

"What is this?" Bell-mère asked, stepping inside.

"Place for me to train without breaking the ship. Also good for… other activities."

Her brow arched at that. "Other activities?"

I grinned innocently. "Like teaching you how to punch through a wall without breaking your wrist."

By the time the tour was over, all three were clearly impressed — though Nami tried her best to play it cool.

We set sail shortly after, the Heaven's Embrace gliding smoothly away from Cocoyasi's dock, villagers waving until they were specks on the horizon.

Elsewhere – Marine Headquarters

Vice Admiral Garp sat in his office, holding a fresh report. "Huh. Some punk in East Blue took down Arlong? …and Nezumi got tossed into the ocean?"

He grinned wide. "Heh… sounds like fun."

Elsewhere – East Blue, Unknown Location

A man in a black coat skimmed the paper, noting the mention of a "flying" ship sighted near Cocoyasi. His lips curled into a faint smile. "Interesting. Very… interesting."

Back aboard the Heaven's Embrace, I stood at the bow, wind in my hair, three beautiful women at my back. This was just the start.

"Next stop?" Bell-mère asked.

I grinned. "Syrup Village. We're going to meet a girl named Kaya… and give her a reason to smile again."
