Chapter 3 - The First Trial: Blood and Shadows Chapter:3

When Omer returned to Seoul, the storms inside him had not yet completely settled. But something had changed a fragile desire to reconnect had begun to grow within him. And the first spark of that connection came unexpectedly, when he reunited with Seo-yeon the mysterious, quiet girl he had faintly remembered since childhood. They met in a park on a cool, post-rain afternoon. Seo-yeon's face still held that melancholic, slightly wounded expression; but Omer saw something different in her eyes. As they talked, both began to share the pain and loneliness they had kept inside. Talking felt like the medicine they had been searching for all along.Omer showed her the small gifts he had bought at the amusement park: a colorful teddy bear, a bright red balloon gun, and a sweet little toy duck. These were not just simple toys they symbolized his effort to love again, to try to reconnect. A faint smile appeared in Seo-yeon's eyes. For the first time, they felt a genuine warmth. As days passed, the time they spent together increased. They opened up about the difficult parts of their lives and slowly built trust and friendship. For Omer, Seo-yeon became a light trying to heal the wounds of the past a hope that softened the darkness in his life.

But this bond was not easy to form. Both hid the cracks in their hearts, and old pains surfaced from time to time. Omer would sometimes retreat into silence, while Seo-yeon tended to withdraw into herself. Yet, each time, they learned to find their way back to each other.Three months passed, but Omer learned something shocking yes, he had been betrayed. For the first time in his life, Omer Jin-Hoo faced the pain of bonds he had built with hope being broken. Learning that Seo-yeon was with someone else touched the deepest places of his brokenness. Suddenly, all his dreams of a fresh start were shattered.Night had fallen, and the city lights had dimmed. Omer stood before a high overlook. The wind hit his face, raging like the storm inside him. His eyes welled up as painful memories from the past flooded his mind:The bullying he endured as a child…

The loneliness and exclusion he felt back then…The grudges that grew in his heart during those days Each memory bled like a fresh wound. In those moments, he felt lonelier than ever. His heart was filled with the accumulation of broken hearts and dark times.Losing Seo-yeon was not just the end of a relationship; it exposed Omer's most vulnerable side the part of him that did not believe he was worthy of love. As he struggled with pain and disappointment within himself, he felt utterly helpless and broken.Omer Jin-Hoo could no longer bear the weight of all his pain and heartbreak. The moment he cut himself, outwardly expressing the emptiness inside, he experienced the deepest depths of both despair and helplessness. The blood was warm on his skin, but his soul felt like ice.He turned to God; he whispered his prayers, begged. "Why so much pain? Why me? Show me a way." His emotions and desperation were too intense to describe with words. Yet, inside him, there was still a small spark of hope perhaps one last light When he opened his eyes, in the white-walled hospital room, a strange and glowing screen appeared before him. This was an unfamiliar "player system"

And on the screen that appeared before his eyes, it read:(All conditions to become a player have been met. Do you want to become a player? Yes / No?)An interface that explained how his life could now be managed like a game, offering him a chance for a new beginning.Among the swirling thoughts in his mind, there was only one decision left: he chose to become a player. This decision transported him to an unknown, mysterious dimension; to a completely different world, and a brand-new struggle In a dark and cold void, Omer Jin-Hoo slowly opened his eyes. Around him was a dungeon, its walls built of cold stones, as if constructed thousands of years ago. The air was heavy and suffocating, making it hard to breathe. As Omer tried to understand where he was, he felt a strange tightness in his chest. His body was numb, and moving was difficult.Suddenly, a deep, echoing voice broke the silence of the dungeon:"Do you truly accept?"Startled, Omer searched for the source of the voice. "Who who's there?" he called out, but received no answer. Only the echo of the cold stone walls responded. The voice repeated, firmer and more determined this time:"Do you truly accept?"Feeling all the helplessness he carried inside and surrendering to whatever fate awaited him, Omer whispered:"Yes… I accept."At that moment, the dungeon shook, the darkness around him trembled, and Omer suddenly found himself somewhere else. The new dungeon was far more magnificent and mysterious. Ancient hieroglyphs adorned the walls, and statues resembling Egyptian gods rose from the columns. On the throne sat a majestic figure; though its face was hidden, its power and authority were unmistakable.

As Omer looked around in astonishment, the door suddenly slammed open, and an army of elves swarmed into the room. A loud warning screen appeared before his eyes

(WARNING: If you do not defeat the elves within the allotted time, the player's heart will stop)His heart pounding, time was ticking and the elves launched their attack

With a mix of fear and adrenaline, he rolled up his sleeves and threw his famous black coat off his shoulders. Taking a deep breath, he slowly crouched down and prepared to attack. The first wave was unexpectedly fast and ruthless. The elves were few in number but their speed and attack techniques were complex. Omer deflected the initial strikes with a few moves, but cuts and bruises began to form on his body. Though wounded, he didn't give up because he knew his life depended on it; he had to fight and not surrender. After a fierce half-hour battle, the first wave was gradually repelled. Omer, breathless and covered in blood, leaned against the ground. But there was no time to rest. The door opened again and the second wave thundered in. This time, the elves were fully equipped with spears, swords, and arrows. Their numbers had increased; they surrounded him. Squinting, Omer looked at the system screen. A message appeared:(Player, you have successfully overcome the first wave. Do you want to receive your rewards?)Controlling his breath, Omer said, Yes. Instantly, the (Blood Demon's Dagger) appeared in his hand; a black, slender, and sharp dagger. He felt its power there was new hope in his grasp
