Little Li closed his eyes shut to focus on the surrounding pure energy however at his first attempt he felt nothing.
"Well, It is to be expected. Let me try once again"
On his second attempt young Li failed again. He felt particularly no changes.
"Maybe the problem is within my imagination"

"Ugh. Again"
"This stupid energy! Again!"
On his sixth attempt young Li spotted some dimmed lights for a split second before his entire body started to ache. Every joint present in his body felt pain as if they were getting dislocated brutally. This sudden experience drilled horror within young Li. Although he wanted to scream in agony he endured thinking all the humiliations he had faced within Li manor. He cannot waste this opportunity given by Li patriarch. However his endurance couldn't keep up with the toll his body was facing. Little Li's consciousness slowly started to fade away. Little Li seeing no chances of him remaining conscious went a little crazy to try the breathing exercise once again.
As he was focusing hard to sense the energy particles rain started pouring down. The night turned cold and there was a sweet scent in air. Although little Li failed once again this pleasant environment made him smile for one last time before he got unconscious.
On the last paragraph of parchment paper it was written down that if one depletes too much mental energy trying to sense pure energy within nature then that'll make the practitioner unconscious. As little Li skipped through this he simply walked towards his current condition like a fool. Considering his excitement and the fact that he is a child it's not a major surprise.
As Li Shihou remained unconscious on his bed if one looked closely one could see that various letter particles were moving toward his body. The sweet rain was getting attracted to young Li at a rapid pace. Young Li's body was absorbing an insane amount of vague letter like objects. As the particles were blurry it was hard to decide which energy particles young Li had attracted. In this current world there were three form of pure energy. One came from the netherworld, another came from the sanctuary and the last one came from the universe itself. Normally people who had attracted energy from netherworld walks into the path of darkness. However for one to attract such energy they need to have a bloodline that has already came in contact with netherworld energy. For those who attracts the particles from Sanctuary they tend to walk the path of dominance and light. Further diversification can be noticed in religious fractions. For such a thing to occur one needs to be accepted by paladins of Sanctuary. Normally for people who don't have any connection with the Sanctuary it is impossible to attract such energy. As for particles received from the universe itself, it is the most common one. Although universal pure energy is the most common type it has thousands of variations. Not all the particles are same thus further research were conducted to confirm the most widely known awakened powers from universe and then they were graded from mortal to celestial grades. As for which energy particles little Li attracted it was a matter of mystery.
The next morning when Li Shihou woke up he felt nothing out of the way so he thought his breathing technique attempts were all unsuccessful. After having breakfast little Li went back to his room again for his breathing exercises when butler Peng knocked the door.
"Young master, the children have gathered around the courtyard. They are waiting for your arrival"
Hearing this Li Shihou felt displeased. How can he enjoy being a pampered young master when he failed so miserably at his attempts to forge a bead.
"Tell the children to not come here anymore. Provide for their family's ration as well. Uh, how much can I afford?"
"It is very easy to provide for their families for an entire year with your pocket money young master"
The butler smiled. It was nice to see young men devoting their time to cultivation. People with such mentality can generally move upwards in the cultivation ladder. He started to practice again sitting at a lotus position. This time young Li could see green, yellow, red, black, white and blue particles floating around his subconsciousness. As shihou tried to attract these energy particles within him a silver ish mercury type energy particle suddenly appeared before devouring all other energy particles. This made little Li flabbergasted. Suddenly the connection he could feel from all energy sources vanished and he failed once again. Without reasoning he kept on his practice.
Six months has passed by since Young Li started his practice to sense and attract energy particles. During this period of time the silver particles devouring all other energy sources has become a common occurrence. Young Li has consulted with his mother and few elders from the family but such incidents were never heard of before. Some speculated that he has no talent while some speculated him being cursed. No matter what anyone said young Li kept doing what he needed to do. During this six months period he could feel his physical attributes improving, There was an incident where young Li cut himself accidentally but his injury recovered within a single night. All his tissues and muscles were healed overnight leaving a spotless body. He could feel his strength nearing those of adults. Although these discoveries could spark some favours from Li family, young Li kept them hidden as he himself was confused about how to explain the situation. He definitely didn't possess any spiritual bead within him yet there were improvements. Could these improvements be genetics? Well that could be an option. Today little Li was practicing usually like he has been doing for the past six months when he was suddenly interrupted by a maid. She came to shihou's room with the summon from Li patriarch to come at Main Hall.
