With nearly half a month of travel still remaining, after Creed changed the flight route, they reached Namek in just two days.
But after passing through countless asteroid fields, the spaceship took a heavy beating.
Goku finally left the gravity room, sat down in his seat, and fastened his seatbelt. When a ship drops from space, the impact is unavoidable. Under Bulma's control, the ship began searching for the best landing point.
However, because the ship had suffered significant collisions in space, some systems were damaged. The whole ship smashed into a mountain like a cannonball, lurched forward in a wild skid, and only stopped after crashing into a huge tree at the edge of a cliff.
"We made it!"
Bulma snapped back to her senses. Seeing the scene outside the window, she shouted, "We finally arrived on Namek!"
Gohan walked to the window. "What kind of place is this planet…? The fog outside is so thick—I can't see anything."
"Is it really here?" Goku still didn't quite believe it. "Weren't we supposed to need more than half a month to get here? How did we arrive so fast?"
"It can't be wrong!" Bulma cried. "I modified this spaceship myself! Don't you trust me!?"
Creed smiled. "Just take out the Dragon Radar and you'll know."
Bulma was just about to pull out the Dragon Radar when the big tree wedged against the ship suddenly snapped. The spaceship instantly slid off the cliff and dropped straight down.
Aside from Creed, everyone else fainted on the spot. Goku had also overtrained and completely drained himself—after a slight impact to the head, he lost consciousness as well.
They happened to crash down in front of a white house deep in the forest.
Before Creed could go inside to check, three people came out from the house—two of them looked almost exactly like Piccolo. Green skin… clearly pure Namekians.
Since Creed could tell they had no hostility, he didn't stay on guard. And even if they did have ill intentions, killing them would be as simple as stepping on a few cockroaches.
With their help, Creed carried the two unconscious people into the house and placed them onto beds that looked like capsules. Creed sat to the side. No matter what they asked, he only said they could talk after Bulma and the others woke up.
After asking a few times, maybe fearing Creed would get annoyed, the Namekians stopped pressing.
About an hour later, Bulma woke up. The moment she opened her eyes and saw two people who looked just like Piccolo, she blurted out instinctively, "Kami-sama?"
The shorter one laughed. "You're finally awake."
Only then did Bulma realize these weren't "Kami." She hurriedly asked, "Who are you?"
The shorter one said, "Leichi."
The taller one said, "He's the best Mongolian doctor on our planet."
The shorter one continued, "This ugly-looking guy is called Zalock. Two hundred years ago, he became my brother. You're really lucky we found you. If my emergency measures hadn't been done right, you'd all be dead."
Hearing that, Creed shrugged. They clearly hadn't done much, yet they were talking like life-saving benefactors.
Bulma quickly thanked them and woke Gohan and Goku as well.
These two Namekians were very warm and hospitable, bringing out the lunch they'd prepared. The food was similar to Earth's, just simpler—rice porridge and steamed buns.
They didn't complain. Since the hosts were treating them so kindly, being picky would just be rude.
While eating, Bulma asked, "So… this is Namek?"
"That's right," Leichi said.
Creed grinned. "Just look at what they look like—you can tell. They're exactly like Kami."
Leichi suddenly said, "I hope you can find the seven Dragon Balls you're looking for."
Goku froze. "How do you know we came for the Dragon Balls?"
Leichi didn't answer. He simply lifted a hand—then the drink at the center of the table slowly floated up to his mouth, and he took a light sip.
Zalock lit a cigarette and said, "Actually, we've known about you for a long time."
Creed's brows knit slightly. That feeling of being predicted in advance made him uncomfortable. For an instant, he even wanted to kill the two of them.
But after thinking it through, he held back.
They still needed the Namekians' help to find the Dragon Balls—and his real enemy right now was Frieza, not the Namekians.
Bulma said awkwardly, "Well… that makes sense. You're Kami's relatives, right? So abilities like that are only natural."
Leichi said, "Don't worry. We won't interfere with you."
Bulma suddenly remembered something. "Oh right—where's our spaceship?"
"I already put it in the warehouse behind the house," Leichi said.
They went to the warehouse. It was spacious and mostly empty. The ship sat all the way at the back, battered beyond recognition. Some parts even had cracks running through them. From the looks of it, flying again would be difficult.
Bulma frowned. "It's wrecked this badly… I don't know if it can still be used."
Creed laughed. "Relax. As long as it's not leaking air, it can still work. It sat in Korin's Tower for who knows how long—didn't it still take off?"
Goku said gratefully, "Thanks for helping us so much. You really are relatives of Kami—just like him."
Bulma took out the Dragon Radar and pressed the button.
The response was extremely strong. Just in the nearby area alone, there were three Dragon Balls. If everything went smoothly, they could find half the Dragon Balls today.
Originally, they planned to split up. But under Creed's repeated insistence, they chose to move together.
After all, this was Frieza's turf. Enemies could appear at any time. With Bulma and Gohan's strength, they wouldn't stand a chance against Frieza's men.
Bulma took out the capsules she'd prepared and released a vehicle. Just as she was about to get in, Leichi stopped her.
"You can't use that," Leichi said. "There are a lot of monsters around here. It's dangerous. That kind of vehicle will get crushed into scraps in no time. I'll lend you our ship instead."
So they boarded Leichi's ship, with Leichi piloting it himself.
Bulma instantly regretted it.
This ship didn't just look bad—it looked old. It was slow, and the noise was so loud that the only way to get any peace was to plug your ears.
The radar pointed them toward a lake.
After landing, Leichi, Gohan, and Goku went into the water together, while Creed stayed on the shore to protect Bulma from wild beasts.
The current here was extremely strong. Without Goku protecting him, Gohan probably would've been swept away.
After about ten minutes, Leichi found a Dragon Ball.
They didn't linger, immediately heading toward the location of the next one.
