Chapter 55: Visits
When someone becomes a god, the spiritual sea within them will no longer be the same. The spiritual sea within that person will turn completely golden and turn into a divine consciousness, granting them what is known as divine sense. Those who do not have a divine consciousness cannot have a divine sense and thus will not be able to sense or notice them. An individual's divine consciousness allows them to summon and harness their power no matter where they are. And a divine sense is capable of covering a dimensional range, allowing them to control and manipulate their own higher and lower dimensional spaces.
For Percy, who had become a God-King, harnessing such power and allowing him the ability of spatial folding and appearing anywhere his divine sense covered was not difficult. Thus, when he appeared in the middle of the elder hall of the Clear Sky Clan, it was a surprise to all of the elders of said clan.
One moment they were talking about clan-related things and threats that were brewing, and in the blink of an eye, a man stood among them as if he had been there the whole time.
"Who are you?!"
"How dare you enter our clan hall!"
The voices of the elders could be heard throughout the hall and outside of it. Only one of them did not speak and stared directly at Percy. The man with gray hair and long white eyebrows stared intently and unblinkingly. His eyes could see the man clearly, but he could not sense him. He spread his spiritual power all over the place, but still he did not feel anything. He was clearly in front of him, but before his spiritual power, Percy seemed to blur and blend into the world.
"Enough!" the second elder, who had been watching Percy, raised his voice. All the elders fell silent upon hearing him.
"Who could it be, Your Excellency?"
"Second, why the hell are you speaking so respectfully to this invader!" the seventh elder growled in annoyance. He was another seventh elder, taking his place after the death of the previous one. And, apparently, he had the same character as the previous one.
The second elder looked at his relative with a frown, causing him to fall silent.
"My name is Perseus Jackson..." Percy spoke slowly, looking at the second elder. "Perhaps you already recognize me?"
"You killed our patriarch!" another of the elders exclaimed angrily as he summoned his martial spirit: Clear Sky Hammer.
"I wouldn't have done it if he didn't attack me first," Percy replied easily. "Indeed, you can blame Tang Hao and his son, Tang San. The latter, despite having learned of all the things his master Yu Xiaogang had done to my husband, still decided to follow him around like a licking dog. Tang Hao, of course, protected his son. And he wouldn't let them off easily once they decided to be my enemies…"
"That's the truth of this world, right?" Percy slowly extended a hand and said, "The strong can speak and the weak are crushed. That same rule can be applied to what you did to Tang Hao. If the man had been stronger than you, you wouldn't have even thought of exiling him."
"Well, I didn't come here to mock or attack you…" Percy inhaled slightly before relaxing his shoulders and taking Tang Chen's body out of his storage bracelet.
"I met a previous chief of the Clear Sky Clan; while I was undergoing my nine god trials, one of them forced me to fight to the death against him. Out of respect for a man who treated me with respect even after I informed him to kill his grandson and great-grandson and then fight with all his power, I brought his body to you. I believe he deserves a proper burial."
The elders stared with wide eyes at Tang Chen's lifeless body. There was an open wound on his heart and cuts on his torso. But his face didn't seem to have any regrets or fear, there was only a placid face as if he was sleeping.
"Why… did you have a trial against him?" the second elder asked. They had no intentions of asking more about the god trials. While it was somewhat surprising to hear, he didn't want to offend the man in front of him.
"Just like me, Tang Chen had become the Asura God's heir…" Percy had no intentions of hiding this any longer. He was already a god, there would be no point in doing so.
"But, when he reached the final test, the Rakshasa God corrupted his test and mind. He had become the Slaughter King of the Slaughter City, fighting every day for his mind that was becoming more and more corrupted with the passage of time."
Percy saw that everyone fell silent as they looked at Tang Chen's body. Then, he decided to leave at that moment. He had fulfilled his purpose, he had nothing more to do here.
Without them realizing it, he had disappeared from the place.
"He left...", one of the elders commented when he saw that Percy was nowhere to be found.
"Why would he decide to do this?", another asked looking at Tang Chen's body.
That question was one that only Percy could answer. He respected Tang Chen, no longer just for his strength or will to continue living after he was corrupted. Most of his respect for the man came from one reason: he was able to reign in his hatred. When Percy told him that he had killed his grandchildren and great-grandson, it wasn't that he didn't feel hatred, it wasn't that he didn't care either. Percy could easily see it in those eyes filled with vicissitudes of life.
Tang Chen felt hatred, he felt upset. But, still, even when he felt hatred for his opponent, he was able to reign it in, even when his mind was in a mess!
Percy didn't know if he was capable of doing such a thing. His hatred and Tang Chen's might be on different levels, or perhaps not. But Percy didn't know if he could completely control his hatred when he stood in front of Zeus. And for that reason, he felt more respect for Tang Chen.
Center of Star Dou Forest
"Mm?" Gu Yuena turned her head and looked at Percy who appeared beside her. Di Tian a little further away didn't even notice, much less the other ferocious beasts. Gu Yuena's purple eyes locked onto Percy's red ones, staring intently before looking back at the lake of life, where he had his legs laid loosely.
"You did it…"
"I did it," Percy replied and nodded.
"How does it feel?"
"Wouldn't you know that already?"
"No… I'm different from normal gods. Even though my power exceeds that of mortals and I can fight against first-class gods, I'm different from them. I was born from the dragon god division, I don't have a clear god position. There are some things I can't see or feel, or even understand."
Percy was silent for a moment, thinking carefully about what he was feeling.
"It feels weird…"
"Weird?"
Percy's eyes looked straight ahead, but he wasn't looking at the lake, let alone the trees. His vision seemed to widen and break space as he looked at a horrifying scene. Dragons were falling from the sky. The sky and the earth had turned red as a white halo over the sky enveloped a huge region. Dragons roared in pain as they plummeted with their wings broken or horribly bleeding wounds.
"In 5-D space you can see the past and future of different parallel universes. The past is dry ink, at least most of the time. And the future... the future is constantly changing..."
"I can see and manipulate many things, but I don't feel that different. If I had to say how I feel...", Percy looked at his hand before showing a soft smile.
"Then I would say it's tranquility. I feel calm, relaxed, and at peace. When I accepted the Asura Demonic Sword and then the Asura God position, I understood many things and accepted others. Yes, that's right, my heart is much calmer than before."
"By the way, I think it's better for you to prepare, at least start preparing. I might only have ten years to be on this plane. After that, I'll have to work as one of the gods of the god realm that controls this plane. Honestly speaking, it won't be too long before you'll have to accompany me."
"You're not worried about finding an heir."
"No," Percy smiled. "I'll give my position to my son. That way, the god realm of this sector and the new god realm in the Milky Way could have more reliable contact."
"I don't want to have anything to do with those bastards," Gu Yuena wrinkled her nose.
"You don't have to have anything to do with them. I'm not even asking you to see them or be kind. It's just for precaution and to maintain a certain sense of stability."
"By the way, do you have any information about 7-D beings?"
"No…" Gu Yuena frowned slightly. "All I know is that a 5-D being is a God-King. And a 6-D being has the ability to see the past and future of any space-time of different parallel universes. As well as being able to change time and space arbitrarily."
"Mmm…" Percy muttered curiously. While he knew that to be 6-D it was necessary to be in complete agreement with the will of the universe, he had no idea of its capabilities. However, was that really the case? Percy knew that a divine star was a realm of gods that was capable of allowing more than six god-kings, but only by being in agreement with the will of the universe.
The will of the universe, however, was the same as Chaos. From what he understood when he asked the old man, he decided to create this will so that he wouldn't be watching everything and everyone every second of his immortal life. Chaos gave way to the universe and the will of the universe, but how was Chaos actually born?
Being born in the beginning was not an answer that Percy could quite agree with, not at all.
"Why are you asking that kind of thing now?" Gu Yuena asked curiously. Percy raised his eyebrows slightly as he looked at her in a relaxed manner.
"Mm... nothing too important. I'm just curious about the universe. I mean, the entire universe is divided into ten levels: from a first dimension to a tenth. I'm just curious about what lies beyond 6-D."
"Wait...", Percy blinked while having a slightly goofy look, as if he had noticed something that should be seen or felt with the naked eye, but was a bit hidden.
"Hahahaha! That's all, you damn old man!"
"What?"
Percy ignored him and smiled while hiding his smile with his hand, his eyes looking straight ahead.
"The universe is an infinite multidimensional space, that means there are infinite planes. One universe gives way to another parallel one, therefore there are also infinite parallel universes; multiple universes, but different rules of matter, nature, and chemical reactions. As Gu Yuena said, a 6-D being could arbitrarily change space and time and see the past and future of different parallel universes. But I don't think someone from 7-D can travel to them, so is it a way to gain that possibility and then give way to 8-D?"
Percy smiled more forcefully behind his hand, but then his eyes widened in shock as he felt danger and a pain in his head. Gu Yuena saw him stagger back, as if he had been punched.
"Are you okay?", she asked a little worried.
"Yes...", Percy just let out a small laugh after answering.
"Are you telling me that I'm not yet qualified to come to that knowledge?... Even if it's by my own deductions?" Percy thought with a bit of annoyance as he snorted and narrowed his eyes.
Well, there was no point in thinking about it too much, was what he thought before looking at Gu Yuena. He had to say goodbye, he wanted to play with his son already.
"Well, I have to go. We'll meet again, Gu Yuena."
"Well... be careful," she nodded, but ended with a slightly worried voice.
Percy just smiled at her before disappearing.
. . .
"Aiss~..." Chaos put his fingers on his forehead as he let out a sigh and watched Percy appear beside his wife, Liu Erlong.
"Damn kid, you have to be careful. I really don't want my universe to collapse..." Chaos grumbled a bit before sitting down on a cushion and drinking some tea as he continued to watch Percy on a television.
"Though he's really come a long way if he's already able to come to such deductions. Ah... I just hope he has the patience to wait for when the right time comes."
