Its steps made no sound.
Its eyes held no emotion.
But it knew—
Tonight, something would change.
A gust of wind howled through the empty streets.
Suddenly, the station clock stopped—right at 2:00 AM.
That had never happened before.
This city was called Arkham,
Where people often whispered:
"After midnight, no shadow is your own."
But there was one teenager named Rahat,
Who didn't believe in ghost stories or urban legends.
He was ordinary—yet curious.
Some nights, he'd climb to the rooftop,
Count stars, and wonder:
"Why do I feel different from everyone else?"
He got his answer that very night.
Suddenly, his phone buzzed.
A message.
From an unknown number.
> "You've seen it, but never believed it.
Tonight, it begins, Rahat."
Rahat froze.
He had never given out his number.
And then—knock knock—
A soft sound at his door.
Someone was calling his name…
But the voice—
It was neither fully human nor machine,
As if a robot and a child spoke in unison.
He stepped toward the door.
Each step heavier than the last.
Pulling… pulling…
As he opened it,
A shadowy figure stood before him—
Eyes glowing like fire,
Holding a white envelope.
The figure spoke:
> "Your time has begun.
