Chapter 7 – The Echo of Forgotten Songs
The night was quiet — too quiet for Lumora. Even the stars seemed to be listening.Arin sat near the edge of a crystal-blue lake, watching his reflection ripple. The girl, Lyra, sat beside him, softly humming a melody that seemed… familiar.
It wasn't from Earth — yet, somewhere deep inside, he knew it.
"Where did you learn that song?" he asked softly.
Lyra smiled, her eyes glimmering with the moonlight.
"It's called The Song of Origins. My mother said it was sung by the first travelers — those who came from beyond the stars."
Arin froze. Beyond the stars… could she mean Earth?
The gentle wind carried the song across the lake. As the notes drifted, glowing runes appeared faintly over the water — ancient symbols that pulsed with golden light.
"They respond to the melody," Lyra whispered. "Every tune holds memory. Lumora remembers through sound."
Arin reached toward the light, and the moment his fingers touched it — images flashed in his mind:Ancient cities floating in the sky… winged beings guarding a gate of gold… and a massive crystal core deep underground, beating like a heart.
When the vision ended, he gasped.
"I saw something… the heart of Lumora."
Lyra nodded slowly.
"Then the world has chosen you, Arin. The echoes only answer to those who are meant to awaken it."
The lake grew still again. Only the reflection of two travelers remained — one from Earth, and one born of Lumora — both bound by a forgotten song that whispered of destiny.
And as the wind passed through the trees, faint words could almost be heard…
"When the echoes awaken, so shall the lost world."
