How deep must a feeling run
to make someone end it all?
How heavy must the sadness grow
to make that choice feel like release?
What makes them take that step?

Difficult that it is to take the first step,
So is difficult ending everything, built.
"Have I ever felt that pull?
Was I ever close enough
To call it a victory—
just to be here?"
Do the situation need to be
Something from a movie?
A desperate cry?
A scene where the main character can't go anywhere?
Or is it the words from the society?
Or is it something else?
How beautiful they must have looked
when they laughed —
because those who feel deeply,
their joy too must run deep.
Like the ocean —
its waves rise high, then fall,
crashing and calming,
each one hiding stories
the world never sees.
And if I, too, feel deeply,
how deep must my sadness go
to truly understand theirs?
