Synopsis
Good news: I've transmigrated, and into a peaceful, everyday world. Bad news: There's a chat group, and the vibe of its members is not quite right for a normal world. Kiana: "Everyone, run! I have a split personality!" Talulah: "A challenge for one hundred people: survive in the snowy wilderness for a week with only ten pounds of flour! Let's do it! Come on, brothers!!" Shoko Toyokawa: "The boss is late with my pay again, so annoying. I haven't been paid in two months. I think this damn boss needs a change of heart! Family, we're gathering in Tokyo tonight! Get ready to steal his heart!!" ..... Suddenly, I was transported to a happy and wonderful everyday world and even got a dimensional chat group. Two joys overlapped, which should have led to a dreamlike, happy time. And yet, why did it turn out like this...? Why is your vibe so different from the normal world?!

Chapter 1 - Volume 1 Chapter 1: I Think My Milk Might Be Expired

"Next stop, Ginza, Tokyo."

The announcement for the next destination echoed faintly through the comfortable and quiet train car.

The spacious business class seats allowed one to enjoy the complimentary rich coffee and fresh bread. Unfortunately, Qian Yi had no interest in this kind of petit-bourgeois lifestyle. He simply adjusted his headphones, listening to the soft music while taking the time to read "Cognitive Science".

As a seasoned transmigrator, he deeply understood the importance of learning.

In his previous life, he was a student from China, the most competitive nation in the East Asian "monster house." Just because he watched a band anime, he impulsively took all his saved living expenses and signed up for bass lessons. After several years of self-study, he set off for Japan.

His excessive dedication to the bass caused him to fail six university courses, but he didn't care. He believed that gold would always shine. As a new-era bassist, he was certain he could form his own band, perform his proudest songs at the Budokan, and then go blow up the Tokyo Tower.

But that was just a fantasy. As a street-performing bassist who couldn't make money, he couldn't even afford a decent meal and nearly starved to death on the streets.

His journey to Japan was a complete failure. His living expenses were all gone, the band he formed kept running into problems and miserably disbanded. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't save it. In the end, he had no choice but to sell his bass at a low price, buy a plane ticket, and head back home.

Damn it, Japan is the worst!

The return trip was not smooth. He had no idea what the Japanese airline was thinking, painting the plane he was supposed to take in the classic iced tea colors of a certain basketball superstar, even sticking the numbers 8 and 24 on it. He felt it was a very bad omen, but his savings weren't enough to rebook. So, he had to bite the bullet and get on the plane. While he was on edge, some idiot started playing "See You Again." Unsurprisingly, with a final "man," the plane crashed. He opened his eyes to a second playthrough.

In his second playthrough, he understood that playing in a band had no future; only studying did. He worked tirelessly. Even when family matters forced him to temporarily leave Tokyo for a while and stay in the town of Yasoinaba, he never gave up on his studies. After becoming a psychic, solving the mystery of the perpetual fog over Inaba City, and cracking the serial murder case, he was able to return to Tokyo to continue his education.

According to the typical plot of a slice-of-life anime, what he should do next is study hard in high school, get into the University of Tokyo, enter politics, become the new prime minister, and then—enact the Band Disbandment Tax!

Anyone who selfishly disbands a band without reporting it and getting the consent of all members should be fined and charged an additional band disbandment tax of at least one hundred thousand yen!

He longed for this crappy Japanese society to undergo a revolution.

Buzz—!

The vibration of a completed software download came through.

Qian Yi took out his phone and saw that an unknown app had appeared. He long-pressed it, dragged it to the trash can, and deleted it.

A few minutes later, the phone vibrated again. It was the same app.

Hmm?

Are junk apps this rampant nowadays?

Delete again!

After repeating this more than ten times and feeling his data plan rapidly depleting, Qian Yi gave up. He decided to see what this stupid chat software was all about.

[I Wanna Eat Mei-Flavored Instant Noodles]: Let me tell you, that super beautiful girl I met named Raiden Mei, she talked to me again! Ah! My heart has been stolen by her. Perhaps there will be no more sorrow or joy in this life.

[Customer Service Shoko at Your Service]: Isn't that just plain sexual harassment?

[Talulah]: Agreed. Would a normal person change their group name to something so perverted?

[Child of Prophecy]: Even if you like someone that much, doing something like this...

[Yearning to be a Magical Girl]: Is that Mei girl a magical girl? If she's a magical girl, I can kind of understand, hehe~.

[Underworld Head-Spinner]: Seriously, there's a new member in the group. I know you all don't care about seniority, but at least try to maintain some image!

So, it's this kind of chat group.

Qian Yi calmly changed his group name to [Steel 'Lao Da'] and planned to observe for a while before making a big move.

Leaving the station, Qian Yi skillfully navigated to a courtyard on a quiet street in Tokyo's Ginza district.

He pressed a switch, and the iron gate opened automatically. Entering the courtyard, the first thing he saw was a meticulously trimmed Japanese rock garden. A path of fine pebbles wound its way through, past a pond dotted with several blooming cherry blossom trees, their petals scattering in the wind. A stone bridge in the center crossed over the crystal-clear water.

Walking straight across the stone bridge, he faced a three-story building. The first floor was a dining room, living room, and bathhouse. The second floor had a main hall, a gym, and a study. The third floor held the bedrooms. There was also an attic for storage, but it hadn't been used in a long time and definitely gave off an unclean and gloomy impression. The yard was large, and behind the building, there was a field that served for both baseball and soccer.

The house felt too empty with just him in it. From any angle, it severely lacked a sense of life.

"I kind of miss Yasoinaba."

"Oh, lucky me. There's still milk in the fridge."

"Let's see, does it expire today? A one-year shelf life is still too short."

I should ask the group if milk that expires today is still drinkable.

At that moment, the group members were all active.

[Underworld Head-Spinner]: Ugh, the Underworld is short on supplies again. I have to find a way to get some from the Overworld. Talulah, can you spare any?

[Talulah]: I'm afraid not. The winter in Ursus is exceptionally cold, and we don't even have enough warm clothes. The Earths髓 (Earthspirit) you sent before, Seele, is almost used up, let alone food.

[Child of Prophecy]: It's almost winter here too. But I've gathered a lot of berries. If you need them, I can send you some.

[Customer Service Shoko at Your Service]: The boss is late with my salary again. So annoying. It's been two months since I got paid.

A misery competition?

That's my cue!

[Steel 'Lao Da']: Can I ask, is milk I bought a year ago, that's been in the fridge the whole time, and the expiration date says today, still drinkable? I think my milk might be expired.

[Talulah]: ....

[Underworld Head-Spinner]: ....

[Talulah]: If it expires today, it should still be drinkable.

So it's still drinkable. Good to know.

Gulp, gulp, gulp.

The taste is a little strange. My stomach is starting to hurt. I might need the toilet.

...Spent half an hour in the bathroom.

Courage has increased slightly???

Just then, a situation arose in the unknown chat group.

[Talulah]: Is anyone there?! Help me! Alina, she... she's dying! @All Members

[Customer Service Shoko at Your Service]: Dying? What happened?

[Talulah]: I don't know, but anyone, please, help me! I'll do anything!

She'll do anything?

Then drink my expired milk and spend half an hour in the toilet!

[Steel 'Lao Da']: Hold on, child. I'm coming to save you!
