Bella crossed her arms tighter. "I'm serious, Rachel," she said, looking at Rachel, glad that she was actually finding something funny.
"I can see that," Rachel said, nodding as though she wanted to believe it was serious.
"He'd better resume," Bella repeated. "I started enjoying those stupid notes."
Rachel clutched her stomach. "Isabella."
"What?" Bella answered, raising a brow.
"You're funny."
Bella shot her a glare. "You don't understand."
Rachel sobered slowly, then walked closer to Bella.
"I do," she said gently. "More than you think," Rachel said and then she sighed. And in that sigh, all the teasing faded.
"Bell… I think you've already forgiven him."
Bella didn't answer. Not because she didn't have the words, but because she knew Rachel was right. She'd actually long forgiven him.
