Synopsis
In a world where blood determines your fate, those without a “Vein” are nothing but trash—unworthy of life. Xie Tianluo was the forsaken son of a noble clan, sacrificed for power. Betrayed. Hunted. Burned alive on a dark altar. But death was not his end—it was his beginning. Reborn as Yan Zhi, a nameless man… Yet within him flows the most ancient and cursed Vein of all: The Vein of Eternal Shadow. With every wound, the shadows grow. With every betrayal, power floods his blood. And with every voice that dares to call him “worthless,” he will carve the name Valemorne into their bones. This world will not kneel to light. It will kneel to a Shadow that cannot be destroyed. “If the world curses me, then let me become the curse itself.”

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 — The Shadow That Never Dies

"Shadows are not weakness. They are legacy."

When the world rejected his blood, he became one with the darkness.

When the heavens turned away, he shook the foundations of the earth.

He was no hero. He was a shadow forced to rise.

And when the Shadow Vein was passed down to him, the world would regret ever letting him live.

---

"Do you know what shadows fear the most, Tianluo?"

"The light?"

"No."

"What shadows fear most… is to be forgotten."

---

The sky above the ruins of the altar was pitch black, as if the night itself had been torn from the world.

In the center of a dried blood circle, a young man lay broken and burnt. His skin was charred, patches of his hair singed away, and his left eye could no longer open.

But he was alive.

He should not be.

The young man's name was once praised: Xie Tianluo.

A noble-born child of the Xie Clan, cursed with "defective" blood — born without a Vein.

And on his 17th birthday, he was brought to the sacrificial altar.

By his own father.

"With this blood, we offer the useless son for heaven's blessing."

Tianluo was meant to die.

But that night, the underworld heard his scream.

And something... answered.

Seven Days Later…

Cold wind swept through the mist-filled valley. The scent of damp soil, blood, and rotting incense choked the air.

An old man in a gray hood dragged a young man's body out from a cave shrouded in shadow.

The youth's face was pale. His hair, long and black, was tied loosely with a frayed ribbon. His eyes remained closed, but faint violet veins ran from his temples to his nape — as if something had fused into his blood.

The old man whispered softly.

"You are no longer Tianluo..."

"From this day forth… you are Yan Zhi. A name without a clan. A shadow without a master."

Then he plunged a small dagger into the ground beside the boy's body, and vanished into the mist.

---

When That Eye Opened…

Time stood still.

Sound disappeared.

The youth's right eye opened — slowly — revealing an obsidian-black iris glistening like wet stone.

Moments later, a violet light crept from within the depths of his pupil.

His first breath was heavy. Like a creature dragged back into life against the will of fate.

He did not speak.

But in his heart, he knew one thing:

He would not return to the Upper Tower as a clan son.

He would return as something else.

As a curse that could not be erased.

As a shadow reborn from betrayal.

---

"I will carve my new name into their bones."

"They will remember..."

"...the one they buried alive."

Next: Chapter 2 — Bloodless Shadow

Rebirth is only the beginning. To survive in the cursed lands of Nox'Ara, Yan Zhi must embrace the darkest side of himself — or be torn apart by the shadows that stalk him.
