A small, green bat appears on the man's right shoulder. He signals for Gold to look at it.
Gold nods and looks at the bat. Immediately, all his wounds are healed after looking at him. he thanks the man for healing him.
The man nods as the creature disappears from his shoulder. Immediately after another creature appears, this one looks like a table with little eyes around it.
The man sits down in a cross-legged position, and so does the tall, shadowy creature holding Gold.
The table brings out a suitcase from its eyes. Gold has a normal reaction to the uncomfortable action just displayed.
Onoki looks at both of them but is too weak to make sense of what's going on. He faints.
The man opens his suitcase, revealing pictures of Adam, Ava, another man, and a woman, too.
Gold is confused; he doesn't understand what these pictures are meant for. The man tells Gold to calm down and pay attention to "the truth".
"Master Gold, I call you master since you're not married… I think—well, forget that—""I'm not married," Gold cuts in.
"Thank you for the correction.....back to business.....Adam Jonessy is a bad guy, trust me", the man says with dignity.
Gold raises an eyebrow and tells the man to shut up
"I chose Adam to join us in finding Ava. I used my Elf magic on him, and I confirmed that he was a man with good intentions, so you can't just come to me and tell me that a man that I trust with my life is evil!!!", Gold exclaims.
On the outside, the man shows fear; on the inside, he sees Gold as a literal slave, because in ancient times, Elves were slaves to human beings like the man.
The man asks Gold whether or not he had heard of the organization called "1978".
Gold nods horizontally, meaning he hadn't heard of it.
"You see, 1978 was an organization founded during the Second New Dawn of Earthkind. Its founder, Huille Amara, believed there were exactly one thousand nine hundred and seventy-eight ways to solve Earthkind's problems," the man says.
Gold doesn't react. He leans back on the creature, eyes half-lidded, like he's listening to background noise.
"Fast forward to the present day," the man continues, "and 1978 still reigns supreme. They have their hands in every country—making the law, enforcing it, everywhere in the world."
Gold doesn't see what the problem is with 1978, because he's been alive for two hundred and thirty-two years, and because of these guys called "1978", he's alive because of their laws.
"Master Gold, chillax, chico—let me make my point. 1978 is chasing a certain missing someone you happen to be close to. Care to guess?" the man asks, enthusiasm spilling from every word.
Gold sighs. "Next time, say a certain missing person. Not 'someone.'"
The man grins wider.
"And don't play games," Gold adds. "You're talking about Ava."
"English isn't my first language," the man shrugs, unfazed. "But who cares? And you're absolutely right—the missing person is Ava Stars."
He leans forward, eyes sharp now.
"So tell me, how do you catch a woman who's been missing for eight years and still counting? Simple. You get someone close to her… and make them help you find her." The man says with an enthusiastic turned straight face.
"You see, this man in this picture and Adam are the same person; name's Lincoln Stars, older brother to Ava Stars."
A smile is forming on his face.
"After graduating from college, joined 1978."
"He hadn't been seen ever in public eight years ago, few days after Ava was reported of being missing and a murderer."
Stands up and begins to dance.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, and guess who made their first appearance in all of earthkind's history, just after Lincoln had gone missing?."
"The one the only."
Finger snaps.
"Adam Jonessy," The man says.
Gold stands up from the creature.
His hand twists, changes shape to that of a sword.
He jumps towards the man and stops him from dancing.
Holds him by the neck, with the sword pointed at him.
NOW IF YOU DON'T STOP YAPPING ALL THIS BULLSHIT, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU., ARE YOU STUPID? WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE, HUH, WHERE IS IT??!!!", Gold exclaims.
