The lady in the pod arrive at Wyverner Empire's military outpost, before she could utter a word a spear flew past her head. Fireballs, wind blade, ice spears, etc magic assaulted her.
She scanned the base. "Stop probing, I, General Werner, will kill all you bugs", he said.
She smirked, "sir, I'm appalled. I am a citizen of the empire, you are breaking your vows", she said.
"Monster, how dare you disrespect our empire, and masquerade as our citizens. Begone!" He said.
A red battle armour covered his uniform, his aura raged.
"He is at the Transcendant level, this body doesn't have a negative reaction, so lets see what i can do", she thought.
Before he took his battle stance a fist met his face. Recovering, a quick kick met his face, she then grabbed his leg mid flight and slammed him into the ground. This created a huge crater, she jumped into the air and shot a beam of energy at the crater which exploded.
"That felt good, low energy output, fast, strong, and flexible. Let's see what our empire's general can do", she thought.
A second later the general jumpped out of the trench, his armour was slightly cracked and blood dripped out of his mouth.
"Damn, when did you fiends get this strong", he said.
"General, I'm a new breed, you could say I'm the first of my kind", she responded.
"Shit! The queen has developed a new breed of insects, if they all have power like this, we're fucked. I must report this to his majesty", the general thought.
"Zoey! Report everything you heard to his majesty, right now!", he yelled.
He dashed towards her and swung his spear, she ducked, but a huge fist met her chest before the ducking was completed. Absorbing the impact, she responded with a bouldering right hook. Dropping his spear, he met the incoming hook with a menacing left hook of his own.
BOOM!
The wind shuttered, the ground cracked, and air pressure blew the other soldiers away. The two fighters started trading blow after blow. Then kicks, later a mix. For the next thirty seconds they were embroiled in a magnificent fist-fight. The other soldiers looked in awe.
"That hot ass insectoid can throw down", said a random soldier.
"You ain't lying there", said another random soldier.
"Commander Zoey, what should we do in this situation", lieutenant asked.
"Set up the formation and wait for orders from his majesty or the General. Any updates on Commander Helsin", she said.
"No ma'am, he has been missing since last night", he responded.
"It's safe to assume he has betrayed us, willing or unwillingly. Keep a lookout and under no circumstances is he allowed in without the general's or my word, are we clear", she said.
"Understood commander!", he replied.
It was as if he heard what she said because Commander Helsin appeared at the back gate. She didn't waste any time, she directly unsheathed both her katanas and made a mad dash towards him. Sensing danger he also unsheathed his sword and took his stance.
He blocked the first slash but took the other in his left shoulder, with his right hand he dropped his sword and gswung his fist towards her face. She did a small roll, then kicked his right leg. He fell, she then plunged her other katana into his stomach.
"Damn girl, you're ruthless", Helsin said.
"With someone of your skill level i have to be, or I'll die within a moment's breath", she said.
"Not wrong at all. But when did you start suspect me", he asked.
"Actually i never trusted you. You were always a person that wants benefits for himself. I knew you were pissed i got promoted to Commander, i know you hate our general, and you would always try to sway people. But you were upset because they love and revere General Werner", she said.
He clapped his hands as blood oozed out of his wound and a spittle out of his mouth. "Bravo. You are very perceptive. Everything you said in indeed true. I detest you all, but even that isn't enough to be absolutely certain i was a traitor", he said.
"Actually it was a guess, but your reaction to me attacking you, gave you away. With your cocky attitude and scheming mind, you would have took the attack and played victim. This would hurt my credibility and tarnish my reputation, while simultaneously boosting yours. Is this not how you operate?", she said.
"Indeed, it is. I cannot believe i got caught on a fucking gamble", he said while laughing maniacally.
"Alright since the cats out of the bag, i might as well destroy you all for her majesty, especially since our dear general is being taken care of", he said.
His body transformed, he grew beetle-like wings out of his back, eyes turned into compound eyes, he grew from his six-foot three inches to eight feet tall, skin turned into black carapace, two antennas grew out of his head, and his power surged.
"Behold My POWER!", he screamed in his deep bug-like voice.
Commander Zoey lost one of here katanas while Helsin was transforming. This is what she was afraid of, she was stronger and more skilled than Helsin. But with his transformation she new her chances are small, if not nil.
The soldiers panicked. Two super strong insects, one in the front and one in the back. The general might hold out, but the commander, even they knew she didn't stand a chance, if she dies, we are next.
"Protect the commander, slay the bugs", a courageous soldier yelled.
"Protect the commander", a soldier said.
"Slay the bugs", a soldier said.
The entire out post started saying it. The soldiers at the back gate stormed towards Helsin.
"Mere meat bags, dare to encroach upon meeeeee", Helsin roared.
On the other side:
"General it seems you have company, as you have noticed, if i were hostile, I'd have already tried to attack your soldiers. Why are there no deaths here", the pod lady said.
"It pains me to say this but you are right. You are fully capable of killing my soldiers while holding me off, and i would have to disregard them to battle you fully", he said.
"You misunderstand General, you are stronger than me, but my brain works faster than yours. This enables me to predict, use many skills, and manage my surroundings in a second. One of my new abilities", she said.
"Wait here while i handle this then, and only then, will i hear you out", he said
"Understood General", she responded.
