The king of Dennova requested from his squadron the head of a dragon as a Dragon's horns contained many amplification to mana—usually made into a necklace or garment, rarely, swords had Dragon Horns embedded. They were incredibly expensive, for not many can fell a dragon.
And Leon's Squadron—the First Squadron, one of the most talented, purely because of his presence in it was sent to fetch such an artifact.
And when the dragon was slain—

One of his fellow soldiers kicked him in the ribs.
"We're all sick that you got all the limelight. Sharing is caring, after all."
"You're lucky we are merciful enough to spare you."
"You shouldnt have taken the limelight."
"How moronic, thinking he can just take all of attention."
Their words hurt him dearly. For him, he considered them family, but now.. he didn't think so anymore.
He tried to get up, using his sword to help him up as his dominant arm was broken so he had even less of a chance to survive in the wild.
He managed to get up and used the sword as a walking cane since his legs were heavily injured as well.
"What did I do to deserve this.." he said, contemplating everything he did to deserve such treatment.
The forest loomed before him. Eery as always. This is the home of countless monsters, he had to find some way to defend himself.
But now, he could barely cast any spell, let alone control Ki to strengthen his body.
He was too determined to let his life end at this. And well, maybe he could get revenge in the far future.
