True Names

True Names are sacred, powerful words reflecting the essence of a being's existence. They are not chosen—they are bestowed by higher powers and hold great significance in the balance of the world.

◇ Monarchs

Monarchs are chosen by the gods.

When a mortal ascends to the rank of Monarch, the god who grants them power also bestows upon them a True Name. This name binds them to their elemental domain and marks them as the divine ruler of their element.

A Monarch's True Name radiates elemental energy.

Saying it aloud can awaken their full potential or summon them if you have the right offering.

Monarchs who lose their True Name fall from power and become ordinary beings once more.

◇ Angels

Angels are celestial beings created by the gods, not mortals elevated like Monarchs. When an angel is born (or formed), the God of Light or Creation gives them their True Name.

Their True Name is woven into the fabric of their wings, soul, and voice.

It gives them access to divine laws, celestial magic, and the authority to carry out divine judgment.

Corrupted angels who fall into darkness often lose or warp their True Name.

◇ Demons

Demons are granted their True Names by the Demon King, who rules the infernal realms.

These names are forged in chaos and blood, and they reflect the demon's strength, sin, or domain (like Lies, Flame, Madness, etc.).

A demon's True Name can be used in dark rituals to summon, command, or destroy them.

Lesser demons often kill each other to steal power fragments, but the True Name remains unchangeable.

But if a demon is granted a True Name directly by a Demon God (a being above the Demon King), that demon ascends beyond all others they are crowned as the New Demon King.

This is a rare, cataclysmic event, as it breaks the current infernal balance.

The old Demon King is usually overthrown, slain, or consumed.

The new Demon King gains godlike command over all lesser demons and access to forbidden, ancient infernal magics.

Weapon Bonding & True Names System

In this world, weapons are not just tools they are living extensions of their wielder's soul.

◇ The Bonding Ritual

When a warrior deeply bonds with their weapon through trust, battles, and shared will the weapon awakens. From that moment, it begins to recognize its wielder, treating them not as a user, but as a partner.

◇True Name Awakening

Every weapon holds a True Name, hidden deep within its soul. This name is revealed only when the bond is complete.

When the wielder speaks the True Name aloud, the weapon unleashes its true form and full power.

◇ The Soul Within – Asano

Once a weapon is fully forged, it gains a soul called an Asano. This spirit can communicate with the wielder some silently through instinct, others with full voices or even physical projections.

The stronger the Asano, the more powerful the weapon's evolution.

Some Asano are kind and wise.

Others are prideful, wild, or even dangerous if disrespected.
